Delivery was efficient within a few days of ordering and I noticed the quality of the packing has improved so that no bags of pellets were damaged, not that this was previously a large problem.

Service gets worse over time
I have been trading with this company a long time and the longer I have used them they have got worse. On previously orders, the wood didn't come dry as stipulated. I even took my own moisture test.
Recently, They tell you the items are in stock on website and take the money immediately. Then they say in their t&c’s that delivery will be between 2-5 working days. After 10 days you chase them up and they say that the order is on back delivery after telling you it is in stock. Then cannot guarantee when you will get in the future. Very poor service and a waste of time, when I could have received similar goods elsewhere. After such a long time going to them we have made the decision not to use this company again. In the end I cancelled the order and requested a refund. Order at your peril.

Kiln dried logs
The product is high quality and dependable. The delivery was well managed and done with no drama at all. Although the logs cost a lot, they last a long time so are good value for money.

Driver refused to deliver over a gravel…
Driver refused to deliver over a gravel driveway so this disabled female had to refuse the delivery as no one here to help move a half pallet of bagged logs. Company has now charged £42 to take it back - a third of the cost of the order. Having had many logs delivered over the years with no problem I was not expecting this. Kerbside delivery only needs to highlighted on the website not hidden in terms and conditions.

Our deliveries are made on a kerbside basis, and unfortunately if the driver believes access conditions could pose a risk to safety or cause damage to equipment, they may be unable to complete the delivery. We understand this can be particularly frustrating when assistance is not available to move the goods from the delivery point.

Why I will never order from Zebra Renewables again
This review has been updated as White Horse Energy ceased trading in September 2026. Now known as Zebra Renewables Ltd., this was the company who responded to my complaint. Perhaps that explains their total indifference to resolving the matter at hand.
Having ordered a full crate of oak logs based on the image shown on the (former) White Horse Energy website, I was extremely disappointed to discover upon delivery that the product I received was not as advertised. It appears that I was sent a crate of B Grade logs in place of the item I had ordered.
At least 40% of the logs were small offcuts of split branches. Some were mouldy and many were covered in moss. The grey colour of the cut surfaces of the wood indicated exposure to the elements, strongly suggesting that these logs had not been stored in a covered location.
When I attempted to resolve this matter with customer services, the response being received from Zebra Renewables, my concerns were entirely dismissed. Zebra Renewables did not acknowledge the problem I was reporting, even with clear photographic evidence and told me that the logs provided fulfilled the requisite criteria. I was even told that “smaller logs will burn more quickly”. Who knew?
The fact is that almost half of the delivery comprised very small pieces of poor quality wood. The refusal of Zebra Renewables Ltd to address my complaint in any way and their gaslighting of my concerns means that I will never again order product from this company.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression, Zebra Renewables.

B grade wood worth it?
I've bought B grade wood before and its always been pretty good but my last delivery is definitely wood but its hard to describe it as logs!!
Its very dusty and full of dried leaves, so its been hanging around for a fair while. On the plus side its very dry, but because the pieces are so small it will burn very quickly.
It has made me seriously consider if I would buy B grade again just to save a few pounds!!
