Purchased a "lifetime" license that expired after 3 years. What "lifetime" is 3 years? SCAM ALERT!

Recently i renewed the contract and i cant access the link for the last 4 weeks. i sent numerous emails to the technical team but they didnt do anything to rectify this. i am very disappointed with the support from them and i dont recommend this to anyone.

TIME TO LITIGATE. Selling lifetime licenses that expire is fraud. In response to my "LIFETIME" license, I received the following response after sending numerous emails, only to find out I was a victim of fraud! THEY CLAIM MY LIFETIME LICENSE EXPIRED!

I'm in for a Class Action Suit and am now sharing negative info in every writer site I know.

FOR PURCHASERS OF ONE-TIME-PAYMENT, ONE-TIME-PURCHASE, LIFETIME, OR EXTENDED LICENSES: This License shall be valid for six  (6) years from the purchase date of the Software. For licenses purchased after September 2014, this License shall be valid for three  (3) years from the purchase date of the Software and shall automatically terminate at the end of such term, unless earlier terminated as provided for herein".

The good news is that their program has unquestionably made me a better writer.

The bad news is they have poor customer support and their sales team are nothing but liars and thieves. Around 2013/2014 I bought a LIFETIME license. A few years later and these liars required more money to continue using my LIFETIME purchase. Now, here we are a few years later and once again these thieves want even money from me!

WhiteSmoke does not how to spell texting. The word is spelled as TESTING.

Possibly the worst customer service I have encountered from any online business. 4 days after paying in full and 5 emails later I am unable to gain access. My mistake was not to read the trustpilot reviews. WhiteSmoke you should be ashamed.

I used to enjoy their services years back but recently they ruined their entire system and its utterly useless. Not worth the money and the customer service/sales team is unprofessional. I do not recommend.

Poor Customer Support
I am a long term subscriber to WhiteSmoke and prefer their program over Pro Writer Aid or Grammarly programs. However, there is one very annoying fault. They do not reply to support emails requests.
I had to reinstall after updating my computer to Windows 11, I tried to reinstall White Smoke and when I tried to enter my Registration code which has almost 10 months to run, was rejected. Many emails to them and phone calls, all unanswered.
I don't even know whether they read these customers experience.

I bought the program and installed it on my computer. After a while, I deleted it because it gave an error and I wanted to reinstall it. I could not reach the installation files in any way and I reported this situation to the authorities. They did not help in any way and told me to use it through the site. Is it that hard to get the setup file? Customer service is pretty bad.

I used it during college in 2019 and 2020. All of a sudden I got charged 89.99 in 2023. What the heck! This is a scam company.

No, No, No. I subscribed online to $6.66 monthly subscription, paid annually. I received no confirmation email and no product. When I checked my bank they had taken £553.30 from my account. In the US, that's about $776. I have received nothing! Sorry, but this can only be described as gross Fraud. Keep well away from this mob. I should have been suspicious about how inferior their website was.

Two years they have auto-renewed, they don't respond to emails. They won't cancel. They used to be good but now it doesn't catch grammar like it used to, a lot of formatting issues with word once it corrects puts all my words together without spaces. Crap product, fraudulent business.

I thought it legit and bought one year subscription..but now the code doesn't work..they don't have working number..complete scam and illegal...should be reported to federal department...

White "Smoke up the Butt" is what they should be called. They get you to buy a lifetime subscription, then cut you off and say you have to renew it. They WILL NOT answer emails. STAY AWAY from these crooks!!! I have proof of my purchase and WILL be suing their sorry arses!!!!

The life time membership is a scam. They shut me down like clock work every year and I had to fight and get it turned back on. Then finally they shut me off and refused to support my membership altogether. The expensive lifetime membership is a fraud.

This company would be a good candidate for a class action lawsuit!!

AUTO-RENEW SCAM!!!!!

I paid for Whitesmoke for one year. I now have a notice from PayPal that they have auto-charged me. I wrote them and told them that they have exactly 24 hours to refund my money. No response.

24 Hours later

PayPal has flagged this transaction as unauthorized. White Smoke cannot access the money from the charge. The money has been frozen and I should have my Credit Card refunded for the amount in 10 days. This is one of the benefits of paying through PayPal they have pretty stringent Customer protection policies.

Look like they stop operating, all phone lines and servers are disconnected. Whatever we subscribed just gone out the window.

I purchased White Smoke since 2012 for a life time, but when I asked them to update it. They said that they changed their policy and I have to pay for it on a monthly basis. I had the old version which I already lost when my computer stopped working and no hope to even get it back on my new computer. They are not helpful at all or even have any loyalty for the customers. I lost my money! I don't recommend it for anyone.

i purchase a software from them for $50 from TNW deals from lifetime subscription. They are legit scammer. i cant even download or use the software until now. I tried to email them but none of them replys.
