Poor customer service and communication from the moment the order is placed.
Once the order had been placed and paid for, the communication from the in store design team was very poor. Emails and phone calls were left unanswered, we had to chase on more than one occasion for several reasons including missing items and refunds for incorrect items that were ordered by Wickes - eventually having to escalate the problems to the customer experience centre (who were helpful). It took weeks to be refunded nearly £1k for shower trays that Wickes ordered that were not fit for purpose, in the mean time I’d had to purchase separate trays elsewhere as the whole installation was being held up. I also never received tiles that Wickes ordered, and again had to purchase tiles elsewhere whilst waiting and chasing £600 owed to me.

Click and collect is excellent
I always buy my compost for summer bedding plants and later in the year for winter pansies from Wickes in Peterborough. It isn’t just the price thats attractive, but whenever I’ve used click and collect to buy 3 x 50L bags of compost a member of staff always asks me if I need help carrying the bags to my car. Yes please! Today it was pouring with rain but 2 members of staff asked if I needed help and loaded my car for me. Thank you. I love the friendly service I always get at this branch.

Genuine, honest and friendly staff members
Walking in to the store it was clean, tidy, bright and clear of clutter. There was staff members on hand to answer any questions that us as amateur decorators had. One staff member who stuck out particularly was Colin. His knowledge of tiles was phenomenal and was just a genuinely nice, friendly guy. Steve also stuck out as a knowledgeable friendly guy. They are both genuine and demonstrate all of wickes values and are both a real credit to wickes as a company. Thank you both for your help!
