Don't buy these candles especially if you have children or pets. The candle was burning and red hot glass shattered and flew across the room. Dangerous. To be avoided

I ordered £40 worth of candles in December. Never received the order. Emailed 4 times, no reply. I've just phoned and they hanged up! It's a con, do not touch it. I'm reporting it to whatever authority I can. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Placed order in December but despite order being acknowledged and money taken nothing received. No response to emails or messages on owners mobile. Escalated to pay pal who refunded my money.

I placed an order on 15th Jan 23, received an email that said they’d let me know when dispatched, not dispatched and they ignore my emails asking for the goods or a refund. No contact telephone number on their site. Total scam, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Looks like Thomas Haydn Dee sets up a new company every other year which is then struck off and dissolved. How can this be allowed to continue?

Really really regret not reading the reviews prior to buying goods from this company. They are a total scam. They take your money but never supply the goods and emails are never answered. Finally gave up and reported it through my credit card company who processed a refund. Also had to destroy my credit card and get a replacement as they had all the details of the one I used to pay them. They are truly despicable people who rob you of your money.

Wish I had checked the reviews for this first, but this company happily let me place an order, never sent a shipping email notification, and never shipped the product. Emails went unanswered, and I am having to seek a refund from my card company. Absolutely despicable that they are allowed to continue trading online when they have clearly gone bust. I have written to Shopify to try and get their payment platform taken down.

This company is dissolved, yet they are still trading online. I am collecting all information to build a legal case. I have emailed to get a refund- or my order. Do

Thomas Haydn Dee has created another obscure business in another unit of the same complex.
They are small amounts and they think that nobody will bother chasing, but I will not let go. If anyone else that has been scammed by them wants to join me, reply to this review.

I am a 96 year old living in near penury. I ordered candles that were supposed to be pure beeswax from this company to help me with my breathing. I got an immediate message to say that they'd contact me when it was ready to ship (over 2 weeks' ago). I emailed them last week to ask for an update - no response. Are these people completely heartless that they'd rob the poor?

Don't, whatever you do, buy from this business. They take your money but don't supply the goods. No phone number is listed on the website. Emails are ignored. I did find a phone number on the internet starting 020. It was answered by a girl who seemed to be drunk and was in a very noisy environment. I gave her the order number which she claimed to have written down - but was not able to read it back to me. She just cut the call. I rang again and she told me I had the wrong number. That this was not the number for wicks and reeds - BUT - I hadn't mentioned wicks and reeds. So this, I am afraid was untrue. I have been scammed.

Ordered candles 23rd April for a birthday on 29th with custom labels and put my contact details in the notes asking to contact me if any problem fulfilling.
No contact and no shipping notification received so I emailed company on 29th asking when candles would be shipped. NO Response. Then an email from them 3rd May stating my card had been refunded. I emailed back asking why my order had been cancelled? ...now instead of a late birthday present there was not even a birthday present on the way! Now 7th May still No Response from company.
I would never order from this company again.

I placed an order beginning of December and received an email saying they’ve not been able meet their usual standard of delivery due to them moving premises and implementing a new system. I was told I would receive my order 1st week of Jan but I am still waiting! I have emailed them but have had no response. All I can assume is that they’ve gone bust!!!!

I placed an order on 13th Dec 2021, received an email just before Christmas saying the order would be delayed. Chased mid January, was told end of Jan for delivery. It is now almost the end of February and they are ignoring my emails. Avoid avoid avoid.

Placed an order for over £80 and received a dispatch email. Had nothing since (and it's now 8 weeks), emails ignored and, as others have said, there's no number on the site plus the oneGoogle brings up doesn't exist.

Ordered and paid for on the 7th November, no goods received so will be contacting my credit card company for help retrieving my money. No way of contacting company on telephone and really disappointed as feel I have been scammed. Received a message via Facebook to say they had moved and were behind but I’m still waiting. My recommendation - do not buy from this company.

I would give less than one star if I could.

Order placed 6th December, no dispatch notification, no response to email, Facebook messages or requests through PayPal to return money. Sadly looks like items aren’t going to get shipped and I am going to be out of pocket right before Christmas. Avoid buying from here.

Took the money but only delivered 1 out of 3 elements of the order. No response to multiple e mails. Probably failing if you read recent ratings here. Wicks & Reads is a trading name - registered company appears to be Wicks & Green Ltd; 3 directors = Thomas Dee (Colchester address is here on Trustpilot); and 2 women surname of Green (address on Companies House). Only registered Oct 2020; £3 share capital; no accounts filed and late with Confirmation Statement. Bad news ….!

I don’t know what has happened with this company: I bought from them previously with no problem, but my recent order hasn’t arrived after several weeks, emails asking for an update have gone into the void, the phone number has disappeared. A shame because I want to support small business, but this looks like a dud now

Placed an order on 3rd December for over £100 of candles - have received six candles instead of 24. Website is breaking the law by not having a contact telephone number (the one listed is not a working telephone number). No response from Face book messenger, email or instagram. Feel scammed and will contact credit card company later on today to claim.

Haven't received my order and nobody responded to my emails.
Not even 1 reply.
What a horrendous customer service.
