Launched my website February 2024 and along the way upgraded to Wordfence Premium which seems to be a great product. I recently had issues with the scan not working successfully, and wasn’t sure what to do regarding, so I contacted my Web Developer and also contacted Wordfence Tech Suppprt. Phil from Wordfence Tech Support was able to help funnel the solution after a few days of back and forth emails on different time zones (Australia to US). Phil’s solutions were very descriptive and easy to follow as well as helped me to learn a few additional things about Wordfence.
Scans are back working fine again.

I was so sure that I was hacked. I wrote a ticket (WordFence Care) which was promptly acted upon. Margaret, the customer support engineer handling the issue, researched the problem, which was a technical issue, and then explained the problem. I was able to resolve the problem quickly. Thanks to all those at WordFence who painstakingly and patiently help people like me who, at times, inadvertently give a false alarm.

Wordpress is the most popular blogging platform in the world, yay! But what they don't tell you is that when you stand up a Wordpress site on today's web, you will immediately be pummeled by hackers from all over the planet trying every known exploit to own you.

The hackers may not make visible changes to your site. Instead they often inject malware into your templates so that anyone who visits your site gets attacked, also usually in some non-obvious way, so that no one knows how or when it happened.

The only hope you have is to install Wordfence and protect your site. I've run it for years on my business and personal blogs and have been 100% satisfied with their service.

And a final note, their customer service is the best I've encountered in ANY industry.

Several months ago I made the decision to migrate my sites away from Wordpress and build my own static site to show off my development skills.

I turned off my Wordfence renewals in advance, but one renewal went through today. I responded saying I'd turned it off and could they please refund. It was literally 3 minutes (not even kidding) before I got a response from Tiffany, saying she'd processed the refund.

3 minutes. Have you ever gotten satisfaction from a customer support interaction that fast? I know I haven't.

I've been using Wordfence for 10 years on all my sites. It's the first plugin I install, and I'm so grateful that there's a free version that's accessible to everyone regardless of their budget. I do miss the old premium/cleanup pricing models, because the paid thresholds are out of reach for some. But when I've needed it, the support is so quick and always thorough. Tiffany helped me with an issue with a license key yesterday and it was resolved literally 10 minutes after I submitted my ticket. Can't beat that! Thankfully, it's been several years since I had to use them for a site cleanup, but I trust them to clean up the server better than most webhosts themselves. And I appreciate their dedication to improving overall security for all of us. Great company.
