Compost and refunds.
Just wanted some decent compost as had problems with previous, was not seeking refund, attempted to convey this alas., just sought advice to save plants. I was annoyed by the condescending way I was treated;
Most customers are honest and would not dream of seeking refunds, taking unpaid items. I despair.
I felt I as though I was judged very much on appearance,
- such as strange place.
Treat your customers with respect, as you would wish to be treated.

Rubbish Customer Services
Ordered and paid for garden furniture back in May. Delivery arranged for bank holiday monday. Arrived on time minus one item. Was told to ring customer services for advice. Every time I rang was told they would try and find another table and they would ring me back. No contact was made by them, and after about half a dozen calls to them one was eventually found in the Carmarthen store. Delivery was arranged for 2 days later, but this still didn't turn up. Take some advice, if you want a complet set of furniture, don't bother with Wyevale. Customer Service Department is the worst I have ever come across. At the time of posting this review I have still not received my table. Next step will be demanding a full refund!
Don't buy anything from Wyevale which needs to be delivered.
Bought a garden furniture set from Wyevale in May. Due to be delivered June 5th. Took the day off work and waited in. Had a series of calls from the courier during the day saying that they were running behind but would be there shortly. Eventually they said they had to go back to depot as it was 6pm so could I rearrange delivery. I rebooked for two weeks later and took another day off work. This time I got a call in the morning of the delivery day saying it was not turning up that day and could I rebook yet another delivery day. At this point I cancelled the order and asked for a refund. In order to make it difficult Wyevale insisted I go into the store to get the refund which i did (after all I had taken the day off so might as well do something useful). The guy in store (Blooms of Bressingham) was very helpful with the refund but it was clear they have a lot of issues with their courier.
Love these garden centre when in…
Love these garden centre when in Bridgnorth we always pop out to the one on the Wolverhampton road. Brilliant selection helpful staff only downside is I end up spending to much. Shrubs always are nice and healthy
Do not buy early.... more and more deals appear. Very let down.
Bought some garden furniture in March on line offering triple point. Points didnt appear so had to call them to persuade them I should have them. Eventually they appeared. Then saw they were offering 20% off. Felt disappointed but that's life I guess. Now serioulsy disappointed to see they are offering 20% off and triple points. I understand life's a lottery when buying things but after only a matter of weeks I do feel let down. I have contaced their Customer Service over this but got no satisfaction. At end of day, will never trust Wyevales again. There are many more garden centres to go to.
Do not ring them.....
Don,t waste your money by calling this outfit. All their 0844 numbers are premium rate! You will be stung by call charges especially if you call from a mobile. I think they have a damn cheek! You ring them to find out if they have something you want to buy, they keep you on hold taking your money regardless whether they can help or not. I’m sure they have made a pretty penny stitching up their callers☹️
Excellent customer service
Have always found their customer service excellent, and enjoy browsing their range when I get the chance to go there. Recently had problems with losing some of the screws on garden furniture I'd brought a while back, and they got new ones sent out quickly without any fuss.
Wyevale Garden Centres - Very poor customer services
I ordered a set of garden furniture from the Wyvale Garden Centre in Albrighton at a cost, after discount, of just short of £2,000 for delivery on the following Wednesday. All turned up and I was fully kept informed about delivery, etc., so was initially very pleased.
After sorting out most of the furniture I discovered that there were a number of bolts missing from one of the items, not the end of the world one would think, just contact Wyevale customer services and they will sort it, hmmmm.
Their resolution is that either they will contact the manufacturer and they will then send me the missing items at some time in the future or I can drive at my own expense to the Wyvale garden centre (about 30-40 mins each way) and they may have some spare bolts of the right size! Once all was resolved they then might consider giving me a gift voucher for my inconvenience.
As I want to use the items at the weekend I was hoping they might organise something a bit more customer focused - I.e. find me some bolts and either over-night them to me (probably cost them about £10) or tell me where I could collect them locally and compensate me for my time and fuel in something more useful than a gift voucher.
I shall go to the local B&Q and buy some bolts as this is the best option open to me given Wyvale's lack of a reasonable customer service offering.
This will be the last time I use this shopping chain for buying anything substantial and would advise others to avoid them for anything other than the most simple items that can't be messed up, as their customer services leaves a lot to be desired should they need to be relied on.
The Restaurant service was appalling…
The Restaurant service was appalling slow, and the staff did not act on requests. Glib apologies are not enough.
The efficiency, energy and politeness of our East European is needed here.
Chaotic or sharp practice?
When this company took over our lovely local garden centre, it gradually went downhill and it now specialises more in selling kitsch than good quality garden plants. The last time we went the outdoor plants were disorganised and poorly cared for. Consequently, we rarely go there now but dropped in today to buy a potted houseplant as a small "emergency" gift. We saw just the thing - a nice looking anthurum in an attractive red pot. We eventually found the price on the bottom of the pot - £5. It looked like a good price but when we got to the checkout the assistant asked "Is that the price with the pot?" and pulled the already potted plant out of its attractive outer pot revealing a price of £12 in addition to £5 on the outer pot! As if it made it OK, she then told us that the outer pot was actually half price (thus £2.50) and that there was a 25% reduction on the plant (thus £9) making a total of £11.50. None of this was clear, transparent or in any way obvious either at the display stand or on the pot. This is, at best, stupidly disorganised or at worst very sharp. We won't be rushing back and would certainly advise others to avoid the place.
After using your Metallic Seasonal …
After using your Metallic Seasonal Christmas Tree Spray on my Christmas tree I now have RUINED MY NEW CARPET from STAINING. And despite no warnings on the can that this could happen your customer support teams reply is basically "sorry but you should know better than spaying your Christmas tree inside. And that was it, not even an offer of refund on the can. THANKS A LOT FOR WRECKING MY CARPET AND NOT CARING. YOUR COMPANY SUPPORT STINKS!
THEY FALSE ADVISE ON GOOGLE SAYING 10% …
THEY FALSE ADVISE ON GOOGLE SAING 10% ON THURSDAY, NOT TELLING YOU ITS ONLY THURSDAY NIGHTS, WHEN I WENT TO OSTELY BRANCH, I ASKED THE LADY WHY ON 3 ACTIONS THEY DONT Answer there phone, and she just shugs her shoulders, AND SAYS ITS BECAUSE ITS SO BUSY, AND WHEN I PHONED THERE HEAD OFFICE, THE FIRST NO EMPTHY, I THIK HE WAS A SOUTH AFRICAN AND THE SECOND TIME I RANG THEM ABOUT THERE FALSE ADS, HE COULDN'T CARE LESS EITHER, I THINK I WILL GO ELSEWHERE AS WELL AS THERE RESTAURANTS ARE OVERPRICED AND THERE EVER SO DEAR ON MOST OF THERE PRODUCTS, AND OBVIOUSLY DONT CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS JUDGING BY THERE STAFF. SO MY ADVICE IS, GO ELSE WARE TO GET GOOD CUSTOMER CARE AND PRICES. AVOID WYEVALE. DPJ777.
Premium rate number scam
As other people have mentioned their customer service numbers are charged at a premium rate. Called them to find out if something was back in stock hanging on the line for two minutes each time waiting to speak with a human being. Tried three times and then called their head office to complain who didn't seem to care. After hanging on the line again for some time. I was eventually put through to someone at the local store who cheerfully informed me that they only try to answer the phone when they can.
We are taking our business elsewhere and recommend other people do the same.
DO not phone these people
DO not phone these people
We were in our local centre and were in a bit of a hurry to get away for another appointment and the guy told me to ring when I got a chance and they would happily explain my query at a later date. A couple of days later I rang and the guy was helpful so helpful in fact I was on the phone for 30 minutes, great I thought got my answers.
Phone bill came and I contacted my supplier as so had a charge of £14 when I asked who was call made to they informed me that it was a garden centre and it was a premium number.
I felt totally disgusted as it would have been cheaper to bump back into the car and discuss in person.
As if they do not charge enough with their extornonate prices then have the cheek to charge premium prices for a general phone calls.
Sorry Wyevale but I spend a huge amount of money with you annually but no more.
We would like to thank Mo & Debbie from …fantastic customer service
We would like to thank Mo & Debbie from the stanway centre for there fantastic customer service an all there help when we purchased our garden furniture you are a credit to your company thank you very much Mr & Mrs childs from Colchester
marlow garden centre
marlow garden centre. visited the wyevale garden centre today. we stopped and had some refreshments. The cafe was expensive, we had a burnt toastie, took it back but they were ok about it. We never kicked up a fuss, but they still went out of there way to apologise and gave us some more free drinks. Only 3 stars though as the food was way over priced and not the best. but the staff were great.
Disappointing Visit…
We have a Garden Centre Membership Card. We are well over 60 which supposedly entitles you to special prices in the Restaurant from Monday to Thursday. Today we visited the Binfield Wyevale Garden Centre.
Although we are in our 80's we were not offered the special rate.
The person behind the counter said she couldn't ask us our ages!! but she could have said 'are you eligible for the special deal; Fairly obvious that we are over 60!
We paid well over the special rate price.
A lady at a table behind us had also not received her special deal.
Makes you wonder what's going on.
Not impressed at all.
Disgraceful
This is my experience of the Wyevale Garden centre at Horncastle, Lincs as posted on Tripadvisor. It really is bad....
"We called in mid morning (Friday 7th July) to have some breakfast. It was fairly quiet and my fiancee ordered porridge with syrup and a bacon roll for me. While I sat waiting at the table I noticed dead insects and old food crumbs on the window sill next to the table (no.7), old food deposits on the floor - a non too clean floor by the way - and, most worryingly, the emergency exit door had not been opened or tested in weeks or even months. There was ivy growing across the glass door and some was even growing inside the restaurant side!
I watched as visitors carefully placed their dirty cups and plates back on their trays before leaving, presumably to help the staff. At no time did any member of staff come and clear any of the tables during our visit so the place soon looked like a dump.
Of course, for the staff, texting and using their mobile phones was far more important then looking after customers.
The hot food order was served quickly, too quickly. My fiancee's "porridge" was completely uncooked with raw rolled oats sitting in a liquid. My bacon roll was the reheated pre-cooked variety and tough as old boots. After a few bites I left it and the untouched gruel.
Clearly there are issues here as previous reviewers have commented similarly but it seems the Wyevale brand cares little about hygiene, fire safety or customers."
Avoid!
Wyevale Tunbridge Wells
We purchased our new garden furniture from Wyevales and it was a pleasure. Helpful stuff, quick delivery (which was also free) and tiop quality.
Very pleased!
Rude and arrogant customer service
After 6 weeks of dealing with their appalling customer services they had still not rectified cancelling my mother's loyalty card I decided after several emails and a letter to the so called loyalty card manager I decided to call them and well I can say that this team are down right RUDE. They would not recognise good customer service if it bit them. I was literally shouted at by their so called customer service advisors. My advice is that there are several good garden centres out there so as one BOYCOTT Wyevale as they don't appreciate their so called customers and currently treat us like we are something nasty they have trodden in. There service is appalling and the centres are glorified crèches with cafes not a garden centre
