Outstanding Customer Service
I bought a couple of sets of the low voltage, mains-connected festoon lights for the patio. After some time, the bulbs started to fill with rainwater. The bulbs appear to be glued rather than screwed, so I couldn't get the water out, and eventually one set failed.
My call was answered immediately, with none of the usual 'we are experiencing high call volumes' nonsense that seems to be ubiquitous since Covid, and I was fortunate enough to speak to the owner who was outstanding in handling the issue - really excellent customer service.

The customer service I received from this company was faultless. My enquires re a Royal Mail delivery were dealt with immediately. One string of lights needed to be replaced, not the fault of xmasdirect, but they were dispatched without query via special delivery. The lights and fitting are of excellent quality.

I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for in life but in this instance I got more than I paid for. The lights are excellent quality, very well made and will last for years. The staff have been extremely helpful and after placing the order the lights arrived the next day, well done!

Amazing attention and efficiency
The personal attention and efficiency of this company is astonishing. Having ordered one of their mini Christmas trees for a friend suddenly in hospital, facing critical surgery, it travelled from Perth to south Wiltshire in less than 24 hours. I shall not forget the name of this company.

Rip off avoid
If a parcel isn't delivered to you this shower charge you £10 for parcel delivery to return to them which is knocked off your refund. There also give you only half postage cost back when they didn't deliver next day. Still no refund for a disabled 81 Yr old who can't leave her house. Shame on you your rippepd her off.
For parcel delivery drivers when they didn't have her house number her telephone number was on there. So why did they not. Call to re- arrange delivery ?
Know your rights we know ours and this isn't over.

This has to be the worst company I have ever had the displeasure to do business with.

Advice to anyone, avoid this company as their customer service is non-existant.
In response to xmas direct my postcode and my phone number were on the address so would inly have taken a phine call or a knock on a couple of doors inbthat postcode area to find me.
By rights we should receive a refund immediately not wait for the item to be returned to you.
I hope your happy with the 15 pound you have taken from my elderly mother, it obviously means nothing to you but it's a lot to my mam. Disgusting service all round.

Very disappointing…
Bought lights on the 19th November 2024 hoping I would get a few years out of them, that's why I bought from this company. Just gone to use them and half the lights don't work and If it had been between the joiners we could have removed the defective set. However, half of one set didn't work. These lights cost £112.00, not cheap to buy but clearly a poor product. I will now only buy from Melbicks as if I had done so these would have been replaced. Very disappointing.

Special customer service
What a refreshing customer service experience. Received a response within an hour, problem sorted there and then and an item that was missed during the packing process was sent out within 24 hours and arrived the next day! Friendly and efficient. This is how customers should be treated but sadly seems to be lacking in some other companies these days. Would thoroughly recommend and will certainly be returning next time we need their products.

We have bought a good few things from these guys, and usually really bomb proof exterior semi-pro kit. The rope lights in a tree were fitted 20months ago and failed half way up the rope, but well out of guarantee. However, had a chat with them as they hadn't moved and no water damage etc.
Although they could not replace them, they offered me a deal on new ones, free postage and a kit to try and repair the old ones!
Happy with the phone assistance and overall attitude, many thanks to Laura especially - if only more companies were like this.

They are my go to every time. Verity has always gone the extra mile and further for me even spending hours tracking down a delivery that had gone rogue through no fault of hers. I bought some low voltage outdoor festoon lights over a year ago, tested them for a summer party and found a third of them were failing, possibly due to them filling up with water over the winter? So occasionaly products do become faulty but it's how the company deals with those faults that counts. They were great, offered to replace FOC) even though had been 15 months since I first purchased then they showed me some alternatives as I'd lost confidence in the original product so we agreed I'd just pay the difference. New lights truning up in a couple of days ready for the party - I will be recommending and coming back in the future.
