We are seasoned travellers and weren't sure what to expect on this trip. It's difficult to find something new and exciting when you've been-there-done-that. But let me tell you - it was the best trip of our lives. First, Croatia is amazing and if it's not on your bucket list, it should be. Second, we had THE BEST CREW! Ante and Lucy were amazing. Ante is Croatian so we definitely felt like we had an advantage over the other charters. He taught us about culture, history and took us to the best local spots. He also took the time to teach us about the boat and sailing with such grace and patience. Lucy was the most amazing host, the boat was always spotless, the drinks chilled and her cooking was out of this world. We're still talking about some of the meals she made. Third, the other people on the boat quickly became our friends. Not only did we see the sights together, we extended our vacation after the charter and travelled to Mostar together - generously arranged by our Skipper. We still keep in contact with everyone and would love to do it all again on another charter with Yatch Getaways...maybe Greece next time!

Magnus and Ellen were absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we got on board they did everything to make our experience awesome. We had a couple rough sails due to winds and our skipper Magnus knew exactly what to do and made us feel confident despite the rough waters. Ellen’s food is THE BEST. Her presentation, variety and flavour profiles are top notch. They even went out of their way to make my birthday special. Such a wonderful week!

Our crew made this the best vacation. Our skipper Magnus was skilled, knowledgeable, friendly and created a trip that worked perfectly for our group. Our host Ellen was fabulous at making sure we ate well and had a great experience on and off the boat. Her meals were beyond our expectations and absolutely delicious! The two of them worked so well together and made us feel welcome, cared for and exceeded our expectations in every way.
We would definitely sail with them again!

My trip with Yacht Getaways was fantastic. Our skipper Dal and host Briana were excellent. They were both incredibly knowledgeable and they gave us an experience that exceeded every expectation. The food on boat was delicious and the boat was incredibly comfortable. We loved the restaurants they booked for us each night and the coves and swimming spots were all gorgeous. I highly recommend Yacht Getaways. Team Blue Trident forever!

Best holiday experience we have ever had. Our skipper Dal and host Roxanne were brilliant. Food was epic, the boat was grade A and the knowledge and experience we got along with the new friends we made is something I'll never forget. Can not recommend yacht getaways enough.

Best. Week. Ever. If you’re thinking about one of these trips do it! We were on the Greece Cyclades Explorer route and were seriously impressed by everything! Our Skipper Dal and host Roxanne were brilliant - professional and fun. The recommendations for each day were spot on & we got to enjoy it all with such amazing people. So many laughs and good times. Everything was so well thought out and perfectly organised. Life changing 10 out of 10

Our sailing trip around Croatia could not have been more amazing! We did this as part of our honeymoon. It was the perfect mix of sightseeing & relaxing. Our host Lucy impressed us with her breakfast and lunch spreads. The meals were fresh, delicious and different every day. Our skipper Ante blew our minds with his knowledge of the area. We felt like we were on a personalized tour of Croatia with an “in” at all the local spots. We just enjoyed the days while Lucy and Ante took care of everything. They also went above and beyond by doing something special for our honeymoon and for the two birthdays that occurred during our trip. It felt like we were on a trip with friends & family even though we all just met on day 1 of the trip. We would love to book another Yacht Getaways trip, but worry it wouldn’t be the same without Lucy & Ante. Thank you so much for an unforgettable trip!

Fabulous dream team! The crew worked so well together. We were very fortunate to have a skipper who was from Croatia and full of knowledge about the Dalmatian Coast area. Lucy was a perfect host who also prepared chef-level meals that were beautiful and delicious. We became friends with all of our shipmates and are still keeping in touch. Excited to sail again with Yacht Getaways in the future.

An incredible birthday week spent island hopping in Croatia!

There were 2 birthdays on board and the crew went out of their way to make both days special.

It was the perfect mix of fun, relaxation and exploring new destinations.

We had such a great experience we are already in talks with the company to book another trip on a different route for next summer!

We are happy to share that 3 years after our first boat trip with Yacht Gateways in Croatia, we spent another great one in July in the Cyclades.
The crew with Martin and Carmel contributed to an unforgettable experience for us, with their warm hospitality, kind attitude, human touch and care.
They made us feel at home from the moment we stepped on board until the end, and all 7 days passed by like an instant as we were fully enjoying the delicious meals at breakfast and lunch, all the picturesque swim-stops along the way, the afternoon chills on various beaches, the evening strolls in all the visited islands and enjoying beautiful sunsets and dinners in all the recommended local restaurants.
Thank you Martian and Carmel for having treated us so well and making us disconnect from our busy lives and enjoy this wonderful sea adventure!

Wow!!!! What a trip! I had never done something like this and I was a bit worried. I was so wrong to be worried. This was a trip of a lifetime!!! We had Dal and Roxanne with us and they made the week. Anything and everything we needed or wanted they took care of. Dal was the best Skipper and knew all the places to go and things to see. He made the sailing fun and comfortable for us all. Roxanne’s food??! Epic!!! Not a single thing to complain about!!! Would HIGHLY recommend Yacht Getaways and especially Dal and Roxanne to anyone looking for a fun adventure!

So the good bits:
- pre departure information and communication was superb. Great customer support
- Daan the skipper was experienced and guided us to some great locations around the Cyclades. We would sail with him again.
- the itinerary was fabulous. We would definitely revisit some of the islands we were taken to.
- lunches prepared by the host were excellent.

Now for the negatives which turned our promised luxury trip into an expensive average holiday:
- the host's lack of experience showed in the displays of unprofessional behaviour and awareness of every guest on board. No attention to detail or presentation like the hosts on other boats witnessed by us during the week.
- one bottle of wine for 8 people at lunch is not sufficient which left us relying on our own supplies at lunchtime. On one occasion the host forgot to bring out any wine for lunch. We also were left clearing our own plates on some occasions. Small things such as no condiments, no water glasses, no ice for two days etc. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss - we certainly didn't have any of the food the company likes to post on instagram.
- Disorganisation regarding storage led to a help yourself culture on the boat to guests drinks which could have been prevented if the host had been on the ball.
- Boat was dirty when we boarded. Hair clinging to the decks, dust/debris around the bed so bring your disinfectant wipes!
- While evening meal recommendations were welcome, we felt obliged to take part in whole boat dinners at restaurants we would rather not have visited. Again paying more attention to individual guests rather than the mass would have led to a more special experience.

In summary we enjoyed our trip but the quality of the experience didn't meet luxury trip expectations advertised by the company. I suspect we were just unlucky as the other boats seemed to have got it together with their skipper and crew relations.

Our recent Cyclades trip
was fantastic, mainly because of our amazing skipper - Dal and superb host - Ellen. They both made our trip outstanding, going above and beyond to make everyday amazing.

Both helped to address any and all questions/issues, regularly offered wonderful excursion recommendations, took us to the most beautiful swim spots - and the FOOD (both on the boat and with the many assisted reservations) made this trip a hard one to beat. They are just amazing humans!!

They both speak very highly of the company so I am sure you already value them but - what ever you pay them - double it. They are the kind of people and talent that make your brand and experience one that will bring customers back, again and again. I only hope we get the chance to cross their paths again someday.

Oh and Greece, it was beautiful hahaha.

Couldn't recommend this more! The perfect way to visit the greek islands. Such a special week. Host and skipper were so professional, considerate, helpful and accomodating in any way. I would definitely do this again!

An absolute pleasure to sail with a team that are both professional & fun to share this amazing experience with. The cuisine was first class as was the sailing and local knowledge of the beautiful Croatian islands, along with great recommendations for exploring & restaurants. We would like to personally thank both Davide & Toby for welcoming us onboard & making us feel so comfortable, we left with smiles on ours faces, along with great memories.Happy sailing boys!

Our group had an amazing time! The crew went above and beyond to make our voyage fun, comfortable, and memorable. The meals prepared on the vessel by Ellen (our host) were phenomenal. Our skipper Daniel was a joy and shared great insights into the local islands. Over all the trip and our crew exceeded our expectations.

We just finished touring the Cyclades with Dal and Ellen. This was our first charter experience and we are already planning our next. Dal's calm nature and obvious yachting expertise let us all relax and enjoy the journey while underway. There was no shortage of wonderful dishes prepared by Ellen with great care and tasteful presentation. The bar has surely been set high for our next charter crew.

I had an amazing time during our travels from Paros, Greece to all the other little islands. Ellen was an amazing host, it never felt like she was just doing her job, it felt like she was part our group but made sure to cook the most delicious meals, & went out of her way to make us feel exceptionally comfortable. Dal was the best skipper, answered all our questions & asked us what we thought about the plans & gave us options. We went to the most beautiful islands & their recommendations for dinner were “chefs kiss”. I left feeling like I’ve made friends with our amazing crew. Thank you Dal & Ellen for an amazing week!

As a return customer for Yacht Getaways and a fan of the Cyclades, I had high expectations for this trip. Dal and Ellen exceeded expectations and made the trip truly enjoyable! Small hiccups were quickly made to disappear, and it was clear that they worked well together as a team from the tasty food to the efficient anchoring in cozy swim spots. Yacht Getaways continues to impress!

We had an amazing trip on Yacht Getaways sailing through the Cyclades. Our host Ellen, and skipper Dal were wonderful. The food was fantastic every meal and the experiences were unforgettable. I’m a repeat customer, but this trip exceeded my expectations.
