Wrote a review for a genuine experience…

Wrote a review for a genuine experience on their website. They removed it after the business in question reported it as fraudulent because they pretend they’re a top business when they’re not. Asked for proof that it was genuine, which I provided, and didn’t reinstate it. Talk about freedom of speech!

If I had known what the company was like with genuine reviews instead of pandering to people who tried to con a sick disabled person, I wouldn’t have used them.

Urgent Security Breach - No Response from Support

I tried reporting a major security failure on my Yell-managed Wix site. Despite multiple urgent requests, a chat and a phone call to support (ref: Aqeel), Yell has failed to act, or at least acknowledge my issues.
An unauthorized ex-staff member is still receiving confidential customer data via site automations, on which I have zero control or authorization!
As a business owner in London, I find this lack of accountability regarding UK GDPR compliance unacceptable.
Yell’s refusal to revoke this access or grant me the administrative rights to secure my own business data is a serious liability.
I am now preparing a formal report for the ICO, and try to get attention and perhaps an intervention from a senior manager to stop this breach.
Stay away from this company!!

"As your records will show, we contacted your sales rep, Richard Broadbent, in December 2025
for advice on a successful advertising campaign.
Richard then advised a very expensive package comprising a set-up fee of £1,489.80 plus monthly instalments of £838.80. I realise you offer a partial refund policy, but we would still be substantially out-of-pocket, with nothing to show for it.
I really do feel you should have advised me to seek a more suitable advertising medium for my sector, such as buying leads, which has been far more successful. Please see the Yell Action Group.

A massive thanks for Martin Roberts at Yell.com for professionalism and customer services.
We initially had a frustrating experience with another web designer Amelia at Yell.com, where communication was poor and progress on our website felt slow and unprofessional. It caused a lot of stress and delays for our business.

Thankfully, Martin Roberts completely turned things around. He was professional, responsive, and actually listened to what we needed for our website. He helped fix ongoing issues, made important updates quickly, and gave us confidence that our website was being handled properly.

The difference in service was night and day. Martin has been a huge help to our business, and we really appreciate his support. Also customer service managers are very professional and helpful at Yell.
