Great stay in a very clean, well appointed comfortable apartment. Home from home. Nice short walk into the centre either by road or along the river

Myself and my three friends have this weekend just stayed at 21 Hudson Quarter Apartment in York and it was great! What a GORGEOUS apartment! We totally loved it! From the fabulous decor, stylish soft furnishings & high quality fixtures and fittings. The whole apartment had a wonderful homely feel whilst being super swish and immaculately clean!

The beds were also extremely comfortable, (so much so I checked who the mattresses were made by as I’m now thinking of getting one!)

We were surprised too at just how quiet the apartment was for such a central location, which was great!

As four female friends we also felt super safe in these gated apartments that had a security office available at all hours.

The communication prior to our visit was also excellent, as this was a self check-in apartment but thorough directions were emailed about where to find the key-safe and how to find the apartment, which was close to ‘The Grand’ hotel.

We would all definitely return again in a heartbeat! In fact we didn’t want to leave! We may return in the summer next time though so that we could also enjoy use of the private balcony!

I spent over £500 for 2 nights in a ‘luxury’ apartment for my son’s 21st birthday celebrations and it felt anything but luxurious. It was cold, grubby and generally uncared for. Having complained to the management team during our stay, messages went back and to and they requested photos. I asked for an email address to send them to and they sent me an incorrect email. Having booked through booking.com I decided to take it up with them on my return as it was impacting on our family time together and I didn't want to spoil my son's birthday. Both parties have been dismissive of my complaint as I didn't pursue it at the time. It seems very unfair and spoilt our break. Surely they should take responsibility for the apartment being in that condition.

We stayed in The Willows in York, the accommodation was a detached house in a quiet neighbourhood and just around the corner from the local Spar. There was free on site parking and even a PlayStation to keep the kids entertained at night. The accommodation was clean and well maintained and would happily recommend this place to others.

I stayed at Fishergate apartment/townhouse for 3 nights in January with my mum (80) and my 2 young kids. The apartment is on a busy main road but noise was not an issue (and I'm a light sleeper). The outside and entranceway is a bit off-putting but once inside, the apartment is really lovely. Very well renovated - a high standard throughout. We had a very minor issue of a few lights not working, and York Boutique Lets sorted it straight away. The apartment was very clean, lovely comfortable beds and plenty of pillows, soft towels, quality bedding etc. The kitchen has a Nespresso machine (the type that uses the small pods) and some pods are provided, as well as instant coffee and tea. There was also a bottle of prosecco for us in the fridge which was a lovely touch! There are two large showers (no bath) and both are lovely warm and powerful.
The apartment is over 3 levels. The ground floor is just the entranceway and cloakroom. On the first floor there is the kitchen, lounge, 2 bedrooms (which adjoin) and a shower room. On the second floor is the master suite, which is very luxurious. The stairs up to the second floor are quite steep, which is worth bearing in mind. We had originally planned for my mum to have the master suite but she didn't feel confident on the stairs.
The apartment has some lovely original features, high ceilings and sash windows. The heating is very effective and we were able to keep lovely and warm despite the cold weather outside.
A few doors down is The Mason Arms. We ate here twice and it was lovely, proper pub food.

We booked last minute for York Boutique apartments. Lydia was amazing & dealt with our enquiries quickly & efficiently. Hot water in the shower was cold, the landlord came out that same evening & fixed it. Beautiful apartment with everything you need. The beds were so comfy. We will definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Livingstone street apartments modern and it was nice and clean. Finding parking in the road can be a problem and walking into city centre takes about 20 mins. We were 6 people staying so were told about the sofa bed in the lounge and no problem with that but there were no bed sheets only a duvet inner with no duvet cover and I had to go out and buy a bed sheet as the mattress were quite old. Underneath the dining room table there is screws sticking out and it did scratch my husbands leg and hand so hazard to be looked at. The toilet seat is also loose and would need securing.

Heating were nice and warm no problems and overall lovely apartment to stay in just a bit far out to walk going into the city centre.

Lovely apartment BUT

The description says free car parking is included however what they don`t tell you is that the car park is a public car park across the main road so is difficult for unloading/loading luggage. Also there is no guaranteed reserved parking and on the second day there we spent nearly 2 hours driving around to find a parking space because the car park was full. A major disappointment and next time I would book a hotel with a free car park on site.
Also, the under floor heating did not work in the ensuite bathroom, and the towel rail did not work in the main bathroom which would have been nice mid-winter.
Also there was no kettle, instead a fiddly coffee machine which didn`t work so we had to use a saucepan to boil water - not good!

A really beautiful apartment right in the centre of York. Lovely and spacious, with modern decor. Check in was really easy, everything right on the door step. Will definitely return!

Stayed in the Ebor suites from Friday - Sunday this weekend. We was a family of 5 so stayed in the 3 bedroom house. House is absolutely stunning, very modern, clean, spacious property. X2 double rooms and x1 single room which was perfect as myself and my husband had the double room adjacent to the single room with an en suite In the middle.
Parents had their own room with their own on suites. Home was lovely and warm throughout. Very clean (spotless even). Beds were the best I’ve ever slept in I want to know what matress it is! Very local to the town centre and plenty of shops around for convenience.
Only downside is the parking, is does state very clearly that the 2 spaces aren’t necessarily yours, however, the streets located around including lower ebor street which says on the welcome letter is free parking, are all permits only. We had to park on a car park 15 minute walk away. Free between 6pm - 8am but cost us £35 each per car for the whole of Saturday day! Very pricy. We found that street home owners used the drive to the house.
Other than this I can’t fault it. Would deffo come back if the parking was resolved.

Stayed at Lucy's Lodge lovely flat with every amenity you would need. The place was perfectly clean and a brilliant location for sightseeing. Would most definitely return.

Stayed 1 Patrick’s Pool, amazing location for Christmas Market, as expected in such a prime position it was a little noisy at night but this didn’t spoil our stay. Huge apartment on several floors if you have mobility problems this is not for you. With four large on-suite bedrooms lovely lounge with an wood burner, sadly unable to use as it was full of ash and there was nothing to clean it out with or anything to burn or light it with. The pillows in all rooms could do with changing as they are very flat and uncomfortable. Overall a lovely few days. Also the light on the first flight of stairs is hazardous, its motion activating which is fine if your entering the property, had to send one of us down and activate it before exiting. The rug in the lounge is curling up at one corner and is a trip hazard, these are only minor things and I’m sure the owners could put it to rights easily. Otherwise a wonderful few days in a lovely warm apartment.

Brilliant location in York with parking.....lovely apartment with everything you need.

We couldn’t have chosen a better apartment for our family mini break .The accommodation at Dixons Yard was immaculate, spacious and catered for our every need . The beds were comfy and cosy and the kitchen area was huge.
Parking was secure and we felt safe within the gated community .
However the location was the biggest bonus . On a beautiful and interesting street with fabulous shops and eateries it was a very short stroll to the Shambles- from here all the delights of York were accessible .

The house was clean and modern - obviously newly refurbished. It was well equipped. Close to city centre - about 10 minutes walk. Parking space was a bonus. Only downside was the single bathroom in a house that 6 adults.

We stayed at apartment 7 Bootham house overall good location and facilities. Apartment let down by use of cheap cutlery which bent when used.

We stayed at the Abbots chambers, the location is perfect, however the apartment is a little tired, the shower head is rusty, there is mould around the shower try,the heater in the small bedroom was not working, there is a bad draught next to the bed which mad it cold. The curtains in the living room was falling down, all things that can be easily rectified

I think organisations that you can't talk to another human being are generally not good. So Yorkboutiquelets fits my requirement of people on the end of a phone. And that became important. The original property we booked through them, became a no go as the final stages of renovation of the building was delayed. Yorkboutiquelets were great in finding us an alternative property at short notice. We stayed at Lawrence Apartment which was a bit further out than was wanted but was only 7 minutes walk to the city walls and 15 minutes from the places to visit. The apartment was clean, quiet and well equipped. Buses to the city run from outside which was handy. We had a wonderful week and would recommend both the apartment and Yorkboutiquelets.

We booked 2 apartments on Livingstone Street, both were fantastic! Great communication and directions for the day. Apartments were amazing, better than described, good layout, clean and even provided tea, coffee and milk. Would highly recommend either apartment.

Stayed at 8 Blue Bridge apartment. Brilliant location, easy parking and very well appointed flat that perfectly suited our needs. York is a beautiful city and the ease of access to points of interest and the abundance restaurants and eateries made for a great stay and desire to come back again.
