No reply to emails, obviously useless customer service staff!

I'm happy to recommend York Fitness, My first rowing machine from them lasted 11 years so it was a no-brainer to order its replacement from the same company. That arrived quickly, was assembled easily and is now running smoothly, hopefully for another 11 years!

Great products and friendly staff, when one of my items got lost during transit, Matej ordered me a new item straight away. Would highly recommend.

I purchased a workout tower and there was a faulty part - I contacted York Fitness for advice and they sent out a whole new tower as they didn’t have a spare part. I was not expecting them to send the full kit out at all. The customer service, delivery and the quality of the equipment were exemplary aside from the minor faulty piece.

Having lost my adaptor during a house move, I contacted York Fitness to enquire about purchasing a replacement. After a couple of emails and not many more minutes, I'd purchased what I needed and was a very happy customer! Super speedy and efficient customer service - hugely appreciated:)

I order some weights last week and they arrived very quickly. On opening one of the packages I noticed that one of the ankle/wrist weights was not stitched correctly. I contacted York Fitness and enclosed some photos of the fault. They replied very quickly and sent out a replacement item without having to return the faulty one. I had contacted them by email and the following day I received the replacement. That's what I call excellent after sales service! 👍😊

Great treadmill, not used many of the options yet just the basics.

Bought some Olympic Bumper plates, they didn't arrive after 1 week so I emailed. York's response "Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen circumstance with our carrier we are unable to deliver and complete this order." What does that even mean!? No other explanation given. Surely you would try again? Instead, they said they were issuing a refund. I replied saying I didn't want a refund and would wait for a different carrier. They ignored this email and refunded me. I emailed again to say I didn't want the refund, how could we now proceed so I could get the plates? They ignored that as well. Will not be using York again.

Edit: 14/10/24 After a month it looks like they've ignored this review as well. An explanation would have been nice...

I purchased a B530 bench. It arrived with two right sided locking pins instead of a left and a right. Obviously a simple error at the factory. Contacted York and asked for a possible replacement. The issue was sorted straight away by Matej, brilliant service and one happy, future returning customer.

Placed an order for some bumper plates at a great price.
Product arrived within the timeframe. Unfortunately one of them was badly damaged but customer service sorted it right away and a replacement was with me in a couple of days.
Quality of the product is exceptional.
Will buy again.

My First experience with Yorkfitness.. Absolutely loved it, they said 3-7 days delivery.. l got it all in 2 days!! Superb quality, When l need more product, l know where to go! Why can’t all companies be this good.

Yet another company where it's not possible to speak to a human being. I had a simple query about a spare part that I needed for my York exercise bike. It could have been answered in seconds on the 'phone. But the recorded message says "no".....in order to speak to the Sales or Parts department one has to email the company. Then maybe, just maybe, someone from York Fitness might spare a moment in their busy schedule, to email/telephone/fax back a response to a customer. After that.....well who knows! And their website even lulls you into a false sense of security, with an invitation "if you want to speak to us" and a 'phone number. But when you ring the number you are simply told to email your question or issue. This is not customer service! I give up!

Don't worry, the company is super.
I placed my order ,then panicked as I thought I had ordered the wrong item.
There is a telephone number which you can ring,this simply tells you the email address for a "customer help desk"My heart sank " oh no I thought, im doomed.
WRONG. My Question was answered within a nanosecond!!!.I was immediately put at ease,my queries answered fully ,with a easy explanation.
Honestly I couldn't believe it.
My order was delivered super quick, with plenty of updates, and the quality excellent!!.( I ordered some York dumbbells).

Provided with access to a download of a user manual to an R700 rowing machine. not much use unfortunately as it didn't show what I needed - diagram of how the pull cord should be fed through rollers. But the fact a download of the working of old machines was provided at all is refreshing :)
