⭐️ | Deeply Disappointed – Would Strongly Caution Others
I purchased a Skoda Octavia vRS from Your Car Supermarket in February 2025, and my experience since then has been nothing short of exhausting and unacceptable.
Before collecting the car, I arranged an AA inspection which flagged several issues a dent and chips on the bonnet, a faulty glove box, and a passenger seatbelt fault. I raised these concerns with the team in advance, even shared all the details via WhatsApp, and confirmed my long journey from London by public transport. Shockingly, when I arrived, no one was informed of my visit, none of the issues were addressed, and the person I was dealing with (Conor) was not even present.
Despite this, I was assured by the team that I could take the vehicle and return later for repairs an agreement I requested in writing. What followed has been a string of broken promises, miscommunication, and complete disregard for customer service.
On my return visit, I was told again that the branch had not been informed, and no work could be done. The only thing available was a glove box sourced from eBay, which didn’t even fit properly and looked visibly damaged. I raised this with the branch manager, who casually told me, “That’s what the guys dealing with your car ordered.”
Later, an employee of the Birmingham branch she was one of the few professional people I dealt with promised that the car would receive full paint correction, dent removal, and a proper fix for all issues in one go. But when I followed up to confirm, Dean (senior management) completely contradicted everything I’d been told, saying: “We don’t do paint and dent jobs.” He admitted his staff had given incorrect information and offered to reimburse me if I sourced quotes locally.
Since then? Silence. Calls go unanswered. Emails ignored. I’ve been told Dean is in meetings or unavailable. Nobody is taking ownership, despite me having full documentation, including WhatsApp messages, email trails, and call recordings.
To make matters worse, my car has now developed a selector lever error, which was dismissed during the initial inspection. No warranty paperwork was ever provided as promised, and to date, I have received no formal response regarding this ongoing issue.
After multiple wasted trips from London, my patience has run out. I’ve now given a final 14-day deadline for them to resolve the matter or I will escalate legally and through public consumer channels. This has been relayed via email and I have not received any response, happy to provide proof
This dealership has shown a complete lack of transparency, poor aftercare, and a dismissive attitude toward their customers once the sale is complete. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind I urge you to go elsewhere.

I had an amazing experience today at [Car Supermarket Name]. From the moment I arrived, the team looked after me with care and professionalism. They made the whole process of buying my BMW X5 smooth and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with everything.
I love my BMW X5—it’s a fantastic car, and the way it handles is incredible. I truly feel looked after, both by the car and by the great service I received today. Thank you for making this such a positive experience!

Like other reviewers state, there were red flags from the start which I should not have ignored. I reserved a 2018 Volvo V90 D4 and travelled 1.5 hours to view it. The car seemed great, but during the test drive, we found a rear window wasn't working. The initial response from the salesman was unprofessional, suggesting we board it up or fix it ourselves. I asked them to handle the repair, but received no updates for weeks. Eventually, another salesman took over, apologised, and said the ECU needed replacing — later changed to a wiring fault. Even after the “fix,” the window’s one-touch function didn’t work properly.
They also couldn’t locate the full service history, V5, or second key (which had been present at my first visit), and were sorting through carrier bags of unsorted documents. The manager blamed a recently dismissed sales team, but the overall experience was disorganised, unprofessional, and frustrating. We cancelled the sale and got our deposit back. I would not recommend this dealership

Worse car dealer I've ever dealt with. There were red flags from the start, but I disregarded my gut!!!
Delayed collection as a new MOT was to be done. This was not done upon collection.
2 faults within 3 days of purchase. Contacted by phone, only to have a link to YouTube via WhatsApp for 1 of the issues while ignoring the other. Chat screenshots available! They refused to rectify there mistakes. After all they had their money so it was no longer their problem.
The run around with this company isn't worth it. After sales care even worse. Should've stuck to usual reputable significantly larger dealers.
Be aware because the finance company is in cahoots with them so they think they're invincible!
I've learnt my lesson.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!!
Cars may seem good value, but they are riddled with issues! As soon as any issues are reported they will avoid calls and become totally unresponsive! You will see from other online reviews instant breakdowns, engine lights on, MOT failures etc. Do not buy from these sharks as it will only cost you down the line!

John was a expectional sales man, explained every well, would highly recommend this sales man
My extremely bad experience with your car supermarket started on the 22 of February 2025, when I purchased a 2018 Egolf, I made contact with John the day before, asking about the car and arranging to view the car the next day, I asked him if he was able to charge the car before our 1.5 hour journey, he informed me that water had got into their charger,(should of been a red flag) so would get it charged across the road at Lidl.
Well we arrived, guess what!! not charged, so had to wait for this to be arranged and come back later.
I returned had the test drive, agreed a price, went to pay the agreed price, they had a sting in their tail he informed me there was a non negotiable £180 admin fee, having spent most of the day, I reluctantly agreed to pay in exchange for a 2 month warranty.
We drove the Egolf home, that night decided to put it on charge on our home charger, but it kept blowing our electric RCD breaker and wouldn’t charge.
I reported the electrical fault the very next day and was informed to get it diagnosed and they’d pay the cost, I insisted for this in a written email to cover me!.
After diagnosis at the garage it turned out that the high voltage charging unit costing £3700 to be replaced and not to drive the car
Zam at Your car supermarket said they wouldn’t pay this to be fixed, but replace the unit with a secondhand one, I couldn’t agree to as our trust had gone and we where unsure who would fit it.
We emailed and telephoned on many many occasions to resolve this issue, from start to finish we had the car 7 weeks with no use of a car!
What was surprising is that they were already selling the car on there website before it was returned and they owned car, still with the same mechanical fault, they used the same photos to advertise as previous ones (we have screenshot evidence) “truly wrong” we know this because the change of last keeper was 22/2/25 which is the day when we purchased it!!!
It took 3 attempts for them to collect the car, they did pay the diagnostic fee, but only because I had it in writing!!
I would strongly advise NOT to buy a car from them, because as admitted by Zam on the phone they don’t sell many electric cars at that time they had 5 electric cars for sale 🙄.
BUYER BEWARE!! Don’t trust these cowboys!!
Nice to see they reply to reviews very fast, shame it can’t be said for their email response to issues with their cars 😫

Absolute joke of a company. Have left my mother and young children with no transport to school due to constant lies and misleads. Absolute Jokers... Not sure I'd call it a dealership - more like we will take your money and mess you around then make the refund process difficult. Over 3 weeks she's waited for them to lie about being unable to source parts. Just be honest say your company is going under and your credit accounts are maxed out...it isn't hard to file for bankruptcy instead of causing many people issues.
