We’ve never found a company before Your Shortlist that could provide us with a steady stream of projects for the sales team to work.

2024 will be our forth year with them and with the Google settings changing every other week it’s the one sales channel I know I can rely on.

As a marketing company constantly on the lookout for innovative ways to complement our in-house lead-generation strategies, we recently decided to test the services of a lead-generating company, with hopes of discovering a reliable partner to enhance our efforts. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.

The primary issue we encountered was the quality of leads provided. The majority of the leads were not only disinterested in our offerings but also did not match the target demographic we specified. This discrepancy made it exceedingly difficult to engage with the leads in a meaningful way, leading to a significant waste of time and resources on our part.

Moreover, the company had assured us that they would offer refunds for leads that were not viable. However, when it came time to request these refunds for the obviously unqualified leads we received, our requests were met with silence. The customer service in this regard was non-existent, leaving us with a stockpile of useless contacts and a sense of betrayal from the promises made.

Adding insult to injury, the company then informed us that our credit had run out, which was a baffling statement considering the number of unusable leads we were left with. This communication was the final straw in a series of disappointments.

As a business that prides itself on efficiency and effectiveness, we found the services offered by this lead-generating company to be severely lacking. The leads were of a very low level compared to our target market, and the company's failure to honour their refund policy only added to our frustration.

Our experience with this lead-generating company was deeply unsatisfactory. We caution others in the industry to approach with scepticism and perhaps seek more reliable partners for their lead generation needs. The search for a complement to our own methods continues, but it will certainly not include this provider.

totally agree with previous reviews. these people are spammers. they just bombard you with spam without your agreement to receive emails. the unsubscribe link says you need to wait 10 days for this to stop. will never use their services

Just another bunch of spammers with no GDPR, didn't sign up to receive emails from them and despite unsubscribing to emails I didn't ask for they still come through.

Also Your Shortlist have complained to Trustpilot about the review so supplied TP with details.

I have previously left a review and they have been forcing us to delete it to be able to pass back some of their fake leads.

Why do I say fake because the leads are businesses that have a project in mind and are just exploring the market.

However, YourShortList then has an aggressive lead follow up and forces these businesses to give them information about their project and also push them to on-board. Once you get the leads which you have to pay in advance at times £500 for a single lead which after initial contact said they were not ready for this project and been forced to on-board after we shown interest.

Why do I say SCAM because they have been lying to us from the beginning they have stated in their sales call by P.B that the projects will have a budget for decision making but 90% of them have inaccurate and totally misleading budgets. Their lead sheet had a budget 50K but talking to the lead they said they cant afford more than 20K which is not even half of what YourShortlist stated.

The second fact is that they give the leads to so many clients that the leads are frustrated and don't even want any more quotes or proposals and the funny fact is that they give you 10 days to passback the leads when the lead has stated they want us to contact them in a month (SCAM) and once you do realise it's fake it's too late to passback and the money is gone.

I decided to record these calls as an evidence and now have had 60% leads having the same experience, 30% don't even respond and and the 10% don't want any more proposals. I then contacted their CEO and Founder to state the issue and they have been so ignorant that it has proven the SCAM is designed by them and have no intention to fix it or refund our money.

We are asking anyone who had the same experience to join us in making a group claim as our solicitors believe we have a valid case with the evidences we have obtained.

UPDATE: YourShortlist® we have already explained the situation to our account manager but was deceived by M.D our account manager to delete our review. She was well aware of the situation and instead of addressing the issue she has forced us to delete the review instead of taking action.

Yes, we payed more to be able to gather the evidence and proof of your hashtag#scam as the previously provided hashtag#fakeleads are not even responsive or they do not want engagement and you have refused to pass them back or issue a refund.

We have also shared the issue with E.B and J.W (Director and Founder) and don't see the point of emailing again if you care to resolve this you have our email address. Why don't you do the work not ask your customer to chase you for the scam?

We have evidence of M.D our account Manager asking us to remove the TrustPilot review and will put a screenshot here soon. People can also make their own informed decision by looking at so many awful reviews on Trustpilot you have which are aligned with our claims.

Stop bullying businesses into payments and feeding them hashtag#fakeleads and take action or we will.

They are now trying to get TrustPilot to remove our review.

We had downloaded an ERP comparison guide as our system was end of life. Dan auld got in contact and talked us through the service and how Yourshortlist could help. He took our requirements away and managed to shortlist us two suitable providers. We went with one of those providers and will be looking to implement this year. We couldn’t have done this without the help of Yourshortlist.

We downloaded a comparison guide off LinkedIn comparing VOIP solutions, we were still using an old ISDN solution and as the switch off is due in 2025 we were looking to change system, Dan Auld got in contact with ourselves and provided a shortlist of 3 local providers that helped us make our decision. This is a service we would recommend to any business.

By far the worst lead generation service we have used by a country mile. We were meant to obtain qualified meetings and what we did get is a handful of very annoyed prospects who were fed up of being bombarded with similar calls, introduced by YSL. Every single appointment booked would get a laugh from our sales team before, during and after follow up due to the sheer lack of any quality or due diligence.

We have just been informed that as per policy in December 2023 they have decided to write off the remaining lead we paid for.

We would not entertain using this service or organisation again.
