Fraudolent Business, a total Scam

OK, if it would be possible - No Star would be the right choice for rating.
Order placed - after positive Feedbacks on LinkedIn - Oct 20 2022.
No delivery, lots of excuses even that same old story as before since end of 2015...... Only that's now running under rebranding to Portabl and Slide.
Refund form submitted May 2nd 2023.
No refund to today June 3rd and again lots of excuses in response to my forced E-Mails.
Did I really expected something else?
This is all about fooling and betraying people like you and me.
A scam.
But the HQ of this Company near Charleroi in Belgium is a nice big private refugium. Lots of money dropped in there seems from the Orders of Customers which got misused as Crowd Funding.

i order my product over 6 years ago - SCAM - SCAM - SCAM

i order my product over 6 years ago. They keep saying they are due to make delivery over the years and have taken full payment before they apparently were due to make delivery! years and years on nothing, i have asked for a full refund, which they confirm i am entitled to as they have not delivered on time, but this has not materialised! I chase regularly, but they make excuses of how there is a que for refunds, they are moving me to the top, they are sorry for the unpleasant experience etc...

how is this company allowed to operate such a scam?!?!?

Is anyone able to confirm if they have actual received a refund from them?

Ordered half a year ago & still no…

Ordered half a year ago & still no Product!!! I asked for a refund multiple times & they just keep telling me it’s coming but blah, blah, blah. They literally are thieves & stealing peoples hard earned money & apparently they’ve been doing it years before the pandemic. Please stay away from this company!

Slidenjoy/Portabl

They also stoled my money years ago. Never had the piece of scam that they are supposedly selling and never got any refund. Look on internet for slidenjoy or Portabl (there is a .com website easy to find), there is a lot of reviews that state the same thing: this company is a scam. They have been taking money away from a lot of people and never delivered anything. Don’t trust the updates they provide on whatever websites they use or answers to comments from unhappy « customers » they fooled.

Stay away from these crooks!

I have the same issue that is NEGATIVE

I have the same issue that is NEGATIVE. I funded on Kickstarter. Ive asked for either a refund or the delivery of slidenjoy. They say they have shipped out orders already when the backers were first to be shipped to as part of their terms. So I have no idea who they have been shipping to? I backed and paid for this back in 2014. SCAM!!! Where is my refund or the 17” dual monitors?????

Scamenjoy Same issue as everyone else.

FAKE FAKE FAKE. I have been waiting for my order since 2018 and NOTHING. No responses. They just stole my money. And all these responses from their "CEO" - LIES. They are just going to continue to push it out on and on and on. I have tried to get my money back but to no avail.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

This company is also known as PORTABL following a rebrand - their url is just the name as above with .com.

Buy from this company at your own risk!

I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO.

Maybe they'll sort themselves out, but right now it's far too much of a risk. They shouldn't be taking customer's money under false pretences.

You must NEVER buy anything with a debit card as you won't have any protection if they go bankrupt - which is probably what they are facing if people continue to cancel.

I've given 1-STAR because at least they respond to messages.

However, they have misled me on every occasion - from the moment I ordered in June 2022 when they told me it'd be 4-8 weeks.

Then in August they tell me it'd be another 6-8 weeks. I tell them if I don't receive the order by 6th Oct, I'd cancel.

On 23rd Sept they tell me they've had delay in aluminium and semi-conductors.

On 24th Sept they tell me they won't be able to meet the 6th Oct deadline and it'd be another 6-8 weeks.

Then on 08th October 2022, they request another 6-8 weeks! I give them the benefit of the doubt and I didn't chase my cancellation request.

Then guess what on the 6th Nov 2022, they request another 6-8 weeks but this time they provide links to "evidence" of covid impacting their factories.

You cannot trust these people. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

I bought a monitor in 2021/October and they didn't deliver to me. They are delaying delivery. When I asked to cancel and get my money back, the same thing happened.

I have all the evidence.

Do not buy from this company! You will throw money in the trash!

I'm wondering where you get the nerve to compare your fraudulent company to Sony or Tesla, "Laurent"?
Also, are you aware that your "reviews" page returns a 404? This pretty much talks for itself and even funny.
I don't trust you, so don't thank me for that. In my opinion you deserve a trial and jail time.

Slidenjoy is Portabl.com

This is the same company, SlideNJoy, with a new name years later. They are not to be trusted, this is a scam. They take your money and don't send the product - excuse after excuse. You can order a similar product on Amazon. I submitted a deposit on 03/27/2017 fast forward to, 09/28/2022, I received an email from Portabl with regards to my refund and that they need my account information in order to issue the refund. Are they serious?! They must be desperate. This is the email:

I’m Maxime, from Portabl.com customer support and I’m contacting you regarding your refund request that I am trying to process.
I was closing some records in our back office when I came across your request that was left open, probably unprocessed by one of my former colleagues in charge of it at the time you contacted us.
We apologize for the experience, we noticed that some cases had not been managed correctly in our management tool and that the follow-up had not been done correctly in some cases.
At Portabl, we obviously understand that some people do not want to wait any longer due to the long delays and opt for a refund. This is your case and you are of course fully within your rights.
We are absolutely sorry, all brands have suffered and still suffer for the most part from shortage of semi-conductors (including Sony with the release of its PS5 postponed for 2 years, Tesla with the release of its roadster, and many others). We have suffered from it as well, impacting lead-times.

We started delivering the Slide v1 a few months ago as you can see on the social networks and on the website under the ‘reviews’ page.
We have observed a hyper positive feedback from the first customers, far beyond what we could even imagine for a first product. Nevertheless, we took the decision to make some small improvements to optimize the user experience, such as the sliding mechanism and the opening of the screens as well as a lot of small details that we thought should be reviewed.
I’d like to take this opportunity to inform you that V2 is about to be announced very soon and that mass production has started, in order to make up for the delay in deliveries and get back to normal. All the people who pre-ordered the V1 will receive the V2, of course.
Having said that, I have just tried to proceed manually and personally to your refund request but noticed I couldn’t do it on the payment method you used as the limit of time has been exceeded by the platform.
I would need your bank account number / details to refund the full amount on your bank account today. After which, I will provide you with the proof of refund.
Can you please provide me with your bank account number (IBAN / ACH / BIC / SWIFT / ..) as well and confirm me your full name as stated on your bank account details?
I am going to proceed to your refund immediately.

Once again, we are very sorry for the experience.

To Laurent Wéry, don't bother with your cut and paste response, I've heard it all before. Here we are years later and you're still pulling the same scam. Give the people what you promised and all of these negative reviews will go away.

***UPDATE 09/29/22***

2,012 days OR 5 years, 6 months, 2 days OR 66 months, 2 days. However you look at it, that's how long it finally took for me to receive a refund.

Send an email to: maxime @ portabl.com and provide them with your original receipt and see if you can get your refund.

I provided them with a paypal link since they could not issue the refund to the original credit card I used 5 years ago. It's safer this way and you're not risking them charging your credit card again.

I'm just glad that my case is FINALLY settled.

Oh and once more, to Laurent Wéry, don't bother with your cut and paste response, I've heard it all before. Here we are years later and you're still pulling the same scam. Give the people what you promised or give them back their money and all of these negative reviews will go away. Perhaps maybe you can redeem yourself and your company.

There is no refund yet.

It was a silent response even if I presented the evidence.
If you ask you to send a product, you are silent.

They are a scammer

They are a scammer. They have scammed people with different lies. Write mails from different mails and inform clients to deliver the products in the given time frame. But in reality they are not delivering anything. They are cheats. They have cheated so many people. Don't waste a single hard earned money on this as its a big scam. You will never receive the product. I have paid and fooled by these scammers. Forget about the product you wont get refund. Dont go ahead with this.

I orderd it in 2020 may

I orderd it in 2020 may, i was checking the checkout i finded out that they are using shopify so contacted shopify, because i own a story myself. the possebility is big that they and stripe are going to take down the webshop.

i was one of the original kickstarter…

i was one of the original kickstarter backers back in july 2015.... guess what still no product, i have had 4 new laptops since pledging, so unsure if the thing if it ever turns up would even fit the new macbook... every 6 months or so i get in touch to find out where this vapourware product might be and i get the same answer its coming, its coming, surly as one of the original 1600 backers of this project i should have received one of these builds by now, so what they are saying is they've not managed to build 1600 units in the last 7 years, i strongly recommend not purchasing as you will probably never receive the goods... and when asking for refund all i get is someone will get back to you, all i really want is my money back as i feel i'm never going to see product and the name change just adds weight to the fact they are running from something... shame it was a great ideas, especially for someone like myself who works on the road, a 3 screen edit facility in my backpack would be amazing.... sadly this has also soured my view of backing tech companies on kickstarter as i always felt it was a great way to help great ideas off the ground... maybe there was a reason they couldn't get backing away from the crowd....

Does anyone know the legal position on…

Does anyone know the legal position on situations like this? What can be done to force the refund?

I like many of you have lost any faith in the companies ability to manufacture, communicate and fulfill any order. 4 years of updates coming “soon”, only tonight reading these reviews after another ignored email discovered the company had a different name (You literally have everyone’s email address - just send a monthly mass email communicating the latest step forwards and I don’t know, the fact you’re changing the name of the company that owns 1,000 of peoples order/deposits cash)

How can we process this quicker.
