Disappointed with Zomato's declining service!

Zomato’s service has been declining rapidly. Recently, I ordered 10 items but received only 8, and the issue was denied despite clear evidence. In another instance, the same delivery rider handled two of my orders but delivered only one. Despite sending proof, Zomato claimed their GPS tracking showed the delivery was completed, ignoring my concern entirely.

Customer support is highly unresponsive—emails are met with generic replies, and there’s no way to escalate concerns via call. On top of that, stale food has been delivered multiple times, and refunds for such issues are never processed.

This poor service and lack of accountability have led to an extremely frustrating experience. @Zomato, please improve your service and address these concerns promptly!

ZOMATO doesnt have quality restaurants, because zomato needs money finally customer is fools

Reason why we should not order food in Zomato.
a) All the restaurants are not quality restaurants. if the customers order food in such kind of restaurant it's headache for the customer only.
b) If you complaint the food is not delivered in time, Zomato will inform the customer we should not waste the food, but the reality is the restaurant have full load they will focus on the customer who is seated there and not for zomato,
c) Zomato will inform the customer they will take stringent action on customer, Just ask the zomato what action you are taking copy your email to the customer, they will not do because zomato needs money and they will have well in advance.
CUSTOMER :- PLEASE ORDER FOOD IN CASH ON DELIVERY CHECK THE QUALITY OF FOOD AND THEY PAY CASH

Ordered food and quality was not good

Ordered food and quality was not good. It's impossible to contact their customer service. U have to complain only through email, then they will take 72 hours to respond. Their response only with 100 rs voucher which is expired by the time they send you. If you tell them it's not valid. They keep copy paste same standard email that we resolved ur complained with voucher. It has 3 days validity we cant reverse it. When i pointed out this, they resend the same mail mentioned voucher validity for 30 days but actually the voucher doesn't exist. I asked them again and wanted to speak with them. They dont even your email correly before respond.. No way to call them.. only option is email. Thanks God they did not ask me to send letter complaints through courier.... lol

Supports sale of uncooked food to their customers

Supports sale of uncooked food to their customers. Serious health risks and unsatisfactory service from zomato. Their response to uncooked meal served is" it's not my responsibility ". Terrible customer support and irresponsible service . Order id 6343376226. Charged for a meal, served uncooked meal. And their resolutions was that they will talk to the restaurant.
Images have been sent , their customer support chatbot doesn't adress the issue simply asks to mail. After sending mail they respond that they will have a chat with the restaurant about it . This is not a resolution. This is fraud. Made me pay for a uncooked meal .

ZOMATO SCAM!! OR FOOLING!! OUR CUSTOMERS

I am gold zomato member i have order some food with my gold membership and my total bill is Rs- 341/- for some food but when i order same food with my wife mobile she has not active any gold membership plan and i added same food with same restaurant at same time i saw total bill amount is Rs- 331/- without any gold membership plan …HOW!! Please explain because i am totally disappointed when i see this #ZOMATO #SCAM and i decide to i will not continue gold membership anymor..

Missing items from order

Missing items from order, rude delivery partner, both delivery partner and restaurant throwing blame on each other and no way to contact Zomato customer care because all they have is an automated bot to respond. There is no way to contact customer support except sending an email to which I didn't get a response.

I ordered a cake from Zomato within…

I ordered a cake from Zomato within mins of realisation that I order from some other place and not from the place I was supposed to I cancelled within 1-2mins. First they told me to pay fully because I was wasting food as if they prepared cake especially for me within 2 mins. I had conversation with their representative and they said i am cancelling your order and you will get refund of this within 7 days. Its been 7 days I haven’t received and it shows no active status of refund when I write on their app. Paying them advance is a mistake if I did COD they couldn’t do this. Zomato you were supposed to be trustworthy. Disappointed.

Book a table in advance is tust a trap of zomato

I booked table and paid cover charge as well but when i went to the restaurant there wan no table available even i reached within the booking time though. they said there's no point to book the table i have to wait for 1 hour at least. we left the restaurant immediately. hence, book a table and paying cover charge is just a trap of zomato to incur 25 rs per person.

I had Ordered Food from Domino's Pizza…

I had Ordered Food from Domino's Pizza on 16th Sep 2024 - Order ID - 618582299
2. While ordering it was informed that the order will be delivered in 41 minutes
3. Order could not be tracked as I was informed that the delivery will be done by Dominos
4. When I tried to contact the Domino's Restaurant, The Number that was given in Zomato was not in use, hence googled for the restaurant number, I was directed to a toll free number which informed me the complaint was taken and the issue will be resolved in 48 hrs, automated message.....
5. Then tried to reach Zomato help, again automated reply..... no person to attend to the queries
6. Later got a message to track the order and when tracked it showed the executive will reach in 3 minutes and was near our location
7. Ok 3 minutes will be fine we thought and when checked again after 3 minutes, the delivery executive was near his restaurant and did not move.
8. I called the delivery executive, but he did not pick up the call
9. Therefore I had sent a message to the delivery executive to cancel the order
10. For which after 5 minutes the executive had called up stating he is near my location, as the pizza was ordered for a company get together, and as it was not delivered on time, my staff had left the office and purpose of getting the order had no use hence told him to cancel the order, where he connected me with his branch manager and I had cancelled the ordered.
11. Meanwhile in between in the follow up I got connected with customer care officer in Zomato and I was trying to explain the situation to her and also informed her that the order has been cancelled and to process my refund, but she kept on insisting that I wait for the delivery,. she did not understand that the order was cancelled and it would not be delivered, without understanding the situation, she marked that the order was delivered and closed the complaint after which I was not able to contact any of the customer care officer in Zomato and was left to kept messaging with Zomato AI......
12. Meanwhile I got a message from Dominos that my order was cancelled.
13. But Zomato claimed that my Order was delivered.
14. With no option to contact Zomato, the App got an email ID - dining......, hence wrote a mail to Zomato, but got a automated reply that they will revert back in 48 to 72 hrs, also regarding above concerns I need to send a mail to orders........
15. Hence again wrote an email to orders....., Got reply from Orders......... that they will revert back in 48 to 72 hrs.
16. With frustration I then wrote an email with all the necessary screenshots of the chat and order cancellation from dominos, stating that I shall go to consumer court. Zomato had reverted back stating that they have credited my account with a one time voucher with one month validity (till 19th Oct) for the 2426/-
17. I wrote back to them stating that I do not want a one time voucher, and refund the amount to the source account (which is the normal procedure followed by most of the ecom or food delivery apps, or normally they ask what mode we require the credit, source account or voucher)
18. Got reply that once the voucher is generated it cannot be reversed.
19. Wrote back to them stating I do not have any purpose of ordering for this amount as it was for a company event (Given voucher is one time use with one month validity)
20. After this voucher is shown in my Zomato account, now offers are applicable for orders above 4000/-, Earlier when I had ordered pizza from Dominos i had an offer where it was showing buy one get one free, now 20% discount for orders above 4000/-
21. Also got an email from Zomato that the order is handled by Dominos and they cannot do anything.

Important Note : During the full inconvenience I was not called by Zomato customer care officer to talk to me for trying to sort out the issue, when a raised the same as query, one person Ms.Pooja called up and i informed her my concerns, but she concluded the call rudely stating the amount cannot be refunded to source account and I can go to consumer court.., Later again I got a call from Zomato but at that time I was talking to someone else and could not pick up the call, for which they wrote back to me that i did not answer their call (pls note they had tried only one time and I was holding a second call), I wrote back to them to call me now, but till now no call has come back.... Registering the same here that they have never tried to solve customer issues, but keen on scamming the customers.........

Serious Complaint Regarding Customer Service Experience

Subject: Serious Complaint Regarding Customer Service Experience

To Zomato Support,

I’m writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a recent experience I had with Zomato's customer service. On September 15th, 2024, at 12:57 AM, I placed an order for veg biryani from Shah Ghouse restaurant. At 1:26 AM, after the delivery was already assigned, my order was abruptly cancelled, citing "item out of stock." What followed was a series of rude and unprofessional interactions with your team that left me utterly frustrated and hungry at an odd hour.

1. Phone Call Rudeness:
A lady called me to inform me about the cancellation, speaking in a very rude and rushed manner. When I asked for a detailed explanation, she brushed off my concerns, stating her only responsibility was to update me on the cancellation. She did not offer any solutions, nor did she have proper communication skills. When I requested further assistance, she hung up on me without any regard for my concerns.

2. Poor Chat Support:
Frustrated, I reached out to your chat support and was connected with someone named Simran. She was equally unprofessional—casual, robotic, and unwilling to listen to my concerns. She repeated the same canned responses, showed no empathy, and refused to even acknowledge the inconvenience caused. When I asked for compensation for Zomato's failure to check stock availability before accepting the order, she coldly dismissed my request and hurried to end the conversation.

What made it worse was her refusal to escalate the matter to a supervisor or manager. She claimed to be the only person available, which was both unbelievable and unacceptable. The chat ended abruptly with a robotic "your refund has been processed" and "thanks for contacting Zomato," as if my concerns didn’t matter.

This experience was not only frustrating but left me starving and with no other options for food at that hour. The level of incompetence and lack of basic customer service skills displayed by your team is appalling.

What I Expect:

1. An immediate review and appropriate disciplinary action against the two associates I dealt with.

2. A formal apology and compensation for the inconvenience and frustration caused by this incident.

3. A review of your internal processes to ensure no other customer has to deal with such poor service, especially at odd hours.

I will be escalating this complaint on social media platforms if I do not receive a satisfactory resolution soon. The lack of professionalism, rude communication, and dismissive attitudes of your representatives are unacceptable and do not reflect the standards Zomato should be upholding.

I trust that Zomato will take this matter seriously and ensure that such incidents do not occur again.

Terrible Service and Unprofessional Handling

I had an absolutely frustrating experience with Zomato recently. I placed an order with Wow Momos, and after waiting for 60 minutes, the delivery partner called me saying the restaurant wasn’t providing the order. Then, Zomato support claimed that the restaurant was closed, which was clearly false. The restaurant accepted my reorder almost immediately, proving the problem was not with them.

To make matters worse, this whole mess caused my daughter to stay up crying because she didn’t get her food. It’s unacceptable that the delivery partner failed to pick up the order and misrepresented the situation. The lack of accountability and poor communication from both the delivery partner and Zomato support made this experience incredibly frustrating and distressing.

I expect Zomato to take responsibility for this debacle and improve their handling of such issues. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in their service, and I hope they address these problems promptly.

Untrusted app

I thought Zomato was a good trustworthy app. But lately I have faced payment issue problems and when you try to contact them, they do not have a phone number but through the app, I have spoken to multiple representatives, one named Manisha who said that the wrong payment refund would be reserved within 24 hours. It's been 14 days and they are not responding to emails and the support chat says the same. Guys I leave it up to you'll to decide whatever you like.

The delivery guy came by walk to deliver the food. After complaining at customer service, the executive didn't offer any refund. My last order on zomato. And last time the delivery boy forgot to give one order.

Say Goodbye to Zomato: Swiggy is the Way to Go

Zomato used to be my go-to app for food delivery, but lately, it's been a major letdown. The biggest issue I've encountered is the excessive delay in order delivery times. It seems like Zomato's practice of grouping orders is causing significant problems. Every time I place an order, I'm faced with unreasonable wait times, often exceeding the estimated delivery time by a considerable margin.

This constant delay is extremely frustrating and has made me reconsider using Zomato altogether. It's time for Zomato to re-evaluate their delivery strategy and prioritize customer satisfaction. Until they address this issue, I would strongly recommend switching to a more reliable app like Swiggy.

Arrogant and worst Customer Service

As per multiple incidents recently got to conclusion that zomato doesn’t care about customer if you didn’t receive food zomato doesn’t care, if customer received wrong food zomato doesn’t care, if customer didn’t pick a call zomato doesn’t care… all they care about money via delivery or other… #karma will hit downfall for zomato soon…
