What? No Refund Policy…..
I recently purchased a short-term insurance policy from this company. However, after completing the purchase, I realized that the policy only covers business travel. Unfortunately, I had selected the wrong type of insurance, as I needed coverage for personal travel.
I contacted their customer service to request a refund, explaining the situation and the honest mistake I had made. To my disappointment, they informed me that refunds are not part of their policy, regardless of the circumstances.
There was no flexibility or understanding shown, even though the policy had not been used and the error was identified immediately after the purchase. I find this very frustrating and disappointing.

We are sorry that things did not work out for you but we thank you for giving us an opportunity to reiterate a couple of very important points about our insurance :
1. once you have bought a policy, it is not possible to change it. Therefore you MUST give accurate answers to the questions we ask. Insurance is a legal contract, and there is a duty of utmost good faith on all of us to answer questions to the best of our knowledge : people who don't do this will find that their insurance is not valid.
2. we make it clear during our quote process that our policies are non-refundable. Whilst annual insurance is usually refundable, temporary insurance policies like those we sell are almost always non-refundable. One of the reasons for this is that policyholders could purchase a policy, and then cancel their policy immediately after they receive their insurance certificate. Therefore, in line with virtually all of the short-term insurance providers, our policies do not provide refunds if they are cancelled. We hope that all prospective customers will be aware of this and will only buy a policy if they are sure that they need it.
Sorry again that your experience of Zoomcover was not as any of us would have hoped,

Bad experience with zoomcover
I had a poor experience with zoomcover. I paid for a day's car insurance and I never received my policy. Sent mails to ask but got no response.
I had to pay for another insurance cover with Allianz.
I do not recommend at all especially because they do not even have a contact number.

We are sorry that you had difficulties accessing your policy, we checked our systems and they showed that we did send an email to the email address provided on completion of the booking.
On the question of us not displaying a telephone number on the Zoomcover site, we do this in order to keep our running costs as low as possible : we are then able to pass these savings on to our customers through lower-than-average fees. Even though we don't provide a phone service, we DO provide very efficient e-mail support : we endeavour to reply to all mails received in working hours within 4 hours, and we usually achieve a far quicker turnaround than this. We also offer email support at weekends.
So if anybody wants to contact Zoomcover, the best way to do so is by emailing us at support@zoomcover.com.
Once again, sorry your experience with us was not as we would have liked.

My mistake
I made a genuine mistake and put wrong dates on my short term 3 day cover. Thought I'd have to book and pay again. However, Zoom saw it was a genuine mistake and refunded me so I can now re-book. Well done.
