XLEucation Reviews

XL Education has been great for our 11 Plus prep. Lessons are well structured and actually follow the exam format, which helps a lot. The study material is solid too — not just generic worksheets.
The homework is a nice routine — keeps up regular practice, and whenever there's a question, the support has been quick and helpful. Mock exams have been well run too, good way to see where things stand before the real exam.
Overall it's been a smooth, consistent experience and we'd definitely recommend them to other parents doing 11 Plus prep.

Highly Recommended and always the best education centre for 11+ Preparation !!

My Daughter and Son both been to the XL Education and secured a place in their dream school. They provide the classroom teaching of a topic before the students start working on the exercises. The material, homework and mock tests was always great. The child confidence level has grown up.

As a parent we are extremely happy with the XL Education and they are very helpful throughout the journey. Their flexibility is amazing. The team is always helpful as per the child needs.

Thank you for the entire team for their excellency and hard work. Keep going.

XL is an Excellent education centre.
The lesson materials are top-tier, and the regular feedback and mock exam insights were invaluable in building the child’s confidence and exam technique.
What they mainly stand out at is their innovative use of technology in enhancing the academic experience, and adapt to the ever changing needs of grammar schools' stringent test patterns.

XL Education has been outstanding for my daughter’s 11+ preparation. The team is truly committed and gives high‑quality, personalised attention to every child. They know exactly what they’re doing and guide students with clarity and confidence. What I appreciate most is that they never overload kids — the learning is structured, supportive, and effective. My daughter’s confidence has improved massively, and we couldn’t be happier. One of the best 11+ centres in the UK.

XL Education has helped us immensely in our 11+ journey.
We are extremely satisfied with choosing XL Education for our son. They provide all the materials, guidance, mocks to help the students prepare. As a parent, we do are simply covered with XL Education. Great support and query resolving system throughout the journey. We are thankful to the team for being completely involved and supporting both the parents and children.

Excellent tuition centre with dedicated and supportive teachers. The lessons are well organised. Very flexible with the class timings. Convenient location. I've seen a noticeable improvement in confidence and academic performance since my son started attending XL Education. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality tuition and a positive learning environment.
Overall, XL Education is an excellent tuition centre that delivers high-quality teaching and outstanding support. Thank you to the entire team for their dedication and hard work.

They provide great material. There mock are very beneficial.Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Truly , XL Education is providing exceptional coaching for the 11+ exams, as my daughter has successfully qualified for all four entrance exams she sat for.

XL set up a comprehensive, well-structured syllabus and process , supported by knowledgeable, empathetic team that make it easy to seek help whenever needed.
Their program covers not only Reading Boys and Kendrick, but the entire syllabus needed to tackle any 11+ exam in the UK.

They have daily homework, class over the weekend, weekly test, and mock exams and many more revisions like focus session, additional resources to keeping student on track for 11+ exams.

Most importantly the personal connection XL maintains with parents adds a special touch, and it truly shows; my daughter absolutely loves the staff, which is what matters most.

Great team and excellent tutors for my kids who gave their 11+exams a couple of years ago. All the materials were relevant and updated . Online and offline support was excellent 👌

XL Education has strctured approach to teaching kids for 11+ prepration. My son has very short attention span, the work rescue and pulse tests are very useful and he is enjoying doing multiple tests in one without his knowledge.

Now that the 11+ exams are behind us and our son got the school he was aiming for, we find ourselves reflecting not just on what was learnt, but how it was learnt and who made that journey truly meaningful.

This isn’t a publicity post but just an unsolicited note of deep appreciation for someone who truly deserves it.

We’ve been part of XL Education’s 11+ journey since Year 4, with Sriram guiding our son Adi every step of the way. When we first joined, we didn’t know Sriram at all. But over the past two years, through his actions (karma!), he’s become more than just a tutor but a good friend and a mentor.

What sets Sriram apart is that he’s a parent first. He treats children as children l with empathy, respect, and understanding while still knowing how to engage, challenge, and inspire them. His approach showed us that you don’t need pressure to achieve excellence. Adi stayed happy, curious, and energetic throughout the process - and for us, that alone is a win.

Sriram has been incredibly supportive of our efforts helping us give our best in pursuit of not just his dreams, but ours as a family. 🙏

If you’re considering the 11+ path and want your child to grow without losing their spark, I can’t recommend XL Education enough. 🌟

XL Education has been extremely helpful in the whole journey for 11+ and made a significant difference to my son in learning and gaining knowledge in all the subjects. The material provided has been outstanding and speaks of great quality and quantity. Overall I would rate this brand as the best compared to others and has been very instrumental in all aspects of learning. Thanks.

XL Education has really helped my son develop his skills and make good progress towards his academic goals.

The lessons are well structured and there are lots of helpful resources available.

The mock exams are excellent, covering all areas of the 11+ exam. They have helped him gain confidence and prepare well for the real exam.

I put my third child with XL-Education, while my other kids prepared for 11 plus exam from different providers. I have found them excellent compared to other two providers where my other kids went. The course is comprehensive, the booksets provided to cover the course are of excellent quality and tearchers are very good as well. Although my son has to do lots of homework, but he is really happy and enjoyed here. He likes his teacher very much and teaching staff as well. Throughout the course, my son did online weekly tests and feedback of those tests provided me clear picture of areas to work on. Online portal is really good and it provides a very comprehensive feedback about all aspects of childs preparation. Online and in-room Mocks are very helpful as well in giving a good overview of what to come. Other provides only took one Mock, but XL is taking almost 10 Mocks which is just excellent. Based on my experience, I highly recommend XL Education.

We are extremely pleased with the support and guidance our son received from XL Education during his 11+ preparation. The tutors are knowledgeable, dedicated, and genuinely invested in each student's success. The lessons were well-structured, challenging, and tailored to help him build confidence.

Throughout the course, we saw a significant improvement in our son's academic abilities, exam techniques, and overall confidence. The regular assessments and constructive feedback helped him stay focused and motivated.

Thanks to the excellent teaching and support from the XL Education team, our son felt well-prepared for his 11+ exams. We highly recommend XL Education to any parent looking for high-quality 11+ preparation.

What makes XL better than other 11+ tuitions in Reading area, is that they have better class room facilities, responsive communication system for parents enquiries and reports, and they offer creative writing (mandatory for Reading boys grammar school) from year 4 for free.

XL has become part of our daily routine for the last two years, daily home work, class over the weekend, mock exams and many more revisions keeping our Son on track for the 11+ exams. XL has helped him to improve and become better over the two years.

Very organised, they go the extra mile

They provide excellent and varied materials 11+for the kids to prepare for CGP and GL formats.
Weekly tests are great for kids to test what they have learnt over the week.
They have adapted very quickly for the reading boys exam and have provided hopeful enough coverage for this year exam. I am also liking the 10 mins everyday revision tests which will help in quick revision. I would highly recommend XL for other parents..

We started with XL Education based on recommendations from other parents, and our experience has been very positive so far.

We particularly like the weekend in-person class timings, which are convenient for families. The parent and student portal is excellent, allowing us to easily track homework, monitor progress, and review work completed by our child.

The detailed homework books, abundance of practice materials, regular weekly tests, and mock exams help keep students motivated and focused on continuous improvement. We also appreciate the flexibility and transparency provided to parents throughout the learning process.

Overall, we are very happy with XL Education and would definitely recommend it to families living in Reading and the surrounding areas.
