XLEucation Reviews

This is the best 11 plus tutors in Reading area. They do really well in all the exam boards and my son improved lot. Really recommand XL education!!!

My son has been going to XLEducation for a while now and it has been a rewarding journey to say the least. XL format is very well suited for a competitive exam; with comprehensive lessons on the curriculum supported by very good study material. Homeworks provide a steady practice on lessons taught and feedback has been

We have had a fantastic experience with XL Education, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Navigating the 11+ journey can feel incredibly daunting for both parents and students, but XL Education has made the process so much more manageable and rewarding for my son.

One of the standout features of this institute is the quality of their resources. Their education materials are exceptionally thoroughly researched and always kept up to date with the latest exam trends and formats. This has given my son a massive confidence boost, knowing that what he is studying directly aligns with what he will face on exam day.

The tutors are encouraging, structured, and genuinely care about student progress. Thanks to XL Education, my son is not only improving academically but is also developing the independent study habits needed for the next step in his education. If you are looking for a supportive, modern, and effective institute for 11+ preparation, XL Education is definitely the right choice!

They provided very good material from different publications and also their in-house books. Their homework plan is very convenient and appropriate for the preparation. Exams are very helpful for the kids to practice and their website is very supportive to keep track of the progress .

XL Education has provided outstanding and consistent training for my son, helping him to strengthen his knowledge in Maths, English and Reasoning. The programme has made a significant difference to both his academic ability and his confidence.

XL Education is well structured, with regular homework, focused learning sessions and weekly assessments to monitor each child’s progress and performance.

I would highly recommend XL Education to parents who are preparing their children for Grammar School entrance exams. It is absolutely worth enrolling your child to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to secure a place at a Grammar School.

XL Education provides excellent tuiition for 11plus exams of different types for all schools. Their content is to the point and updated, friendly teachers as well as assistant help students clear their concept. The best part is the feedback and their portal that gives you detailed insights about the progress of your child.

Highly recommended

The XL Education team is incredibly supportive, flexible, and accommodating. My child has gained a great deal over the past year and feels confident in the teaching approach and learning environment.

I particularly appreciate the high-quality study materials provided and the online portal, which offers detailed analytical reports that help identify strengths and areas for improvement. This has been invaluable in tracking progress and supporting my child's development.

XL has done excellent as far as course material, pace and curriculum coverage is concerned. Thank you

My son studied with XL for 2 years throughout year 4 and year 5 and improved drastically. He started as a child with “below average” school report and ended up not at “as expected” level but with “exceeding expectation” in all subjects after just 1 year with XL. We then stayed for another year with XL for my son to consolidate his knowledge.

For our family personally, one of the biggest advantages in XL was the flexibility which lessons to attend (there are 4 lessons over the weekend, in the morning and afternoon on both days). During 2 years, while my son was studying with XL, I had to ask multiply times to move his regular session to another time or day due to various reasons, and every time this change was accommodated, even at a short notice, so that my son didn’t have to miss a lesson.

XL 11+ courses are very well organised with specific topic explained during each lesson which is then followed up by homework in various workbooks to reinforce learnt concepts. Each term kids are given new set of books, so there is no shortage of workbooks to practise at home.

XL online platform is exceptional, with new tests loaded weekly, and answers then explained once each test is complete.

During year 5 course, XL offers 10 mock tests as part of the course (half online and half in person), which was brilliant, as this gave my son chance to practise taking exam and prepared him mentally to remove stress from the actual exam day.

We don’t live locally to XL location, so we had to travel to XL classes every weekend, as there are no other providers closer to where we live who offer 11+ courses at the same level as XL.

Few years ago, my oldest son tried different 11+ classes locally, which were also very good, but XL managed to outperform them. Having sons attending different courses, I can compare them and highly recommend going to XL.

I like the mockathons run by the company plus the regular rigour it brings to the students

very good teaching and provides books and other required materials. overall the course is very structured and full comprehensive which covers multiple exam patterns.

My son joined XL Education since Yr4, with the teaching materials and exercise book, there is impressive improvements overall.

XL Education has been comprehensive in their coverage of subjects in preparation for Grammar School exams, and the online portal is quite well thought through with all options including payments, support portal, and online subjects and tests.

They are a one stop shop for all the preparation needs!

My son thoroughly enjoyed the class room sessions. The mock tests and resources are excellent.creative writing sessions are really interactive and engaging for the kids. Complete package for FSCE pattern of exam.

XL has figured out a great approach to the repeat, review, revise methodology for young kids aspiring to greater heights in education. Their approach goes beyond the immediate goals of grammar school preparation and inculcates ethos of discpline and consistency in kids.

XL Education is easily the best tutoring school currently available. This is not just about 11+ exam preparation, but increasing the capability of the children. My son has greatly benefited from XL. The materials, homework schedule, the tests are all top notch. And the staff are helpful, knowledgeable and kind. All the best for the continued excellence of XL and I am sure many many students will continue benefiting.

XL is great for supporting students for 11+ exams. It stands out with other tutoring providers in the level of planning and are very organised.
My son is currently in year 5 and we are with them from when he was in year3.
He has been independent in learning and needed no support from us apart from marking up.
Their online portal is good.students has the opportunity to sweep, retake the tests.Parents are given detailed report analytics. This gives us a clear picture of the topics which needs attention with.
Mocks are apt and reports give ranking in relation to peers.
Good support from staff.
Be whatever the exam situation XL are planned and students thrive.

Our family has been with XL for three years, and the progress has been remarkable. The tuition centre has continuously improved its platform and expanded the support available to students.
Both of my sons attended XL and genuinely enjoyed the lessons and mock exams. My eldest secured a place at his first‑choice school, and my younger son is preparing for his exam this year with confidence thanks to XL.

XL Education is hands-down the best tuition center for academic success. Their structured study materials make complex topics incredibly easy to grasp, but what truly sets them apart is their exceptional mock test program. The exams perfectly replicate real testing conditions, which completely eliminated our child's exam anxiety while drastically boosting their speed and confidence. Thanks to their dedicated tutors and top-tier preparation, we have seen outstanding results. I highly recommend XL Education to any parent looking for the very best in tuition and exam prep!
