We had a great experience
We had a great experience. I used PayPal to purchase the items so I didn’t have the ID issue. We live in Ohio so we were under the impression this company is international and expected a longer wait for products. Once they arrived they were neatly packed in the box and nothing was defective. We’ve ENJOYED this unique experience in sampling different types of food from another culture and now have new “favorites”. I can’t wait to order from them again.

Great experience, same day delivery..
I made a purchase, then got worried after reading some of the reviews after the fact. I had a great experience. I didn't know my order was eligible for 7 hour express delivery so I received my items the same day. I am recovering from a cold and I had ordered some citron tea so it was especially helpful that I received it so quickly. Everything was also packed very nicely which was important considering the tea comes in a glass jar. I also used PayPal so I did not experience the identity verification some others have mentioned.
Based on my experience I will definitely order again.
Questionable Brand name item
I got a rice cooker from yamibuy, it's well know brand, but terrible quality. I contact customer service and they said that I will need to take care the repair cost and shipping fee.
I suspect the item is "Fake" 日本ZOJIRUSHI象印 全自动多功能用途安全智能保温电饭锅. I paid a little bit lower price then market like $20. There is no where to compare "real Zojirushi" rice cooker. I will never shop Yamibuy again.

Extreme Issues with Payment Processing
Tried to use a gift card and still required a payment method. Afterwards, sent an email notifying me to verify my identity by sending a picture of my ID or credit card via EMAIL. Their engineers really need to pull it together because this is a super simple feature for them to be messing up on.
If you receive the same message, please do not send them your id or credit card for so many reasons.

Good quality, great price, arrived on time.
I received my items on time, in good shape and they were good quality as well. I used PayPal to pay and it was easy. Yes the shipping time is long, but it tells you that before you buy, so you don't have to order from them if you aren't comfortable waiting. For me, getting such quality items at a great price was worth a little patience.

Fast shipping, products nicely packed in box, good price and variety. Snacks, body care, skincare, kitchen ware from China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan.

Ordered twice, worked fine. Then started asking picture of ID and credit card on the next order. (can be masked other than names and last four digits). Switched to paypal, still asking the same thing. This is a bad practice. Find a better way to do the fraud protection.

RUN THE OTHER WAY!
Both myself and my friend tried to order. We were told our credit card orders were denied. This has NEVER happened to either one of us. These morons then requested photo's of our drivers license and credit card for verification! Who does this? I think this is a total SCAM for your info. Read other reviews...this is a very problematic company. RUN THE OTHER WAY!

I placed my first order on Yamibuy on…
I placed my first order on Yamibuy on 8/11 and finally received the box today (8/26), the shipping time was definitely toooooo long, though it did come all the way from California to the East Coast.
The shipping label was created 2 days after my placement, and there was no update until another 5 days later when it was finally picked up by Fedex. :/ ( I’d thought the package was lost.)
The entire shipment process was soooooo long that I would think twice before placing my order again. However, I’d have to give them a lot of credit for bubble wrapping all the drinks+glass bottles very nicely, and organizing the box immaculately with air packet on the side. So luckily there was no spillage or cracks despite my order containing quite a number of glass bottles traveling across the entire country. I guess Fedex also handled it well as per the “Fragile” label on the box so the box arrived in pretty much pristine condition!
Pros: well packaged, easy to order, coupon for first order, price is comparable to local Asian grocery market, also no sales tax for my state.
Con: expect at least 2 weeks of shipping if you live on the East Coast :/
Worst shopping experience
I ordered it two weeks ago but never received my package. Called CS, the lady said they will refund. But what's the point for me to shop then? Yamibuy is indeed a joke...

Wanting credit card and ID pictures to process an approved order.
I saw the price of a Zojiroshi rice cooker that was good and placed an order. I got an e-mail confirmation and a short while later another e-mail requesting that I send them a photograph of my credit card with an ID or Passport. I called to verify the order but the customer service person stated that I had to send them the picture so that their "system" can verify me as the actual cardholder. This does not seem right and poses serious security risks. I hope that this is not some scam. I canceled the order and notified my credit card company.

Sent damaged items and does not follow up with customer
I have received my order at the end of June, and some cannisters contains fluid leaked and soaked through my other items. I called, messaged AND email their Help center, and was asked to send pictures of the damaged item to them. So I did. In fact I emailed them TWICE with the pictures. Now it is the end of July, NO ONE had reached back to me. Not even a message saying they are processing it, or asking for more information. They just ignore it. I understand this is a difficult time, items/refund may not process as fast as before, and I get that. But a customer with damaged goods that have tried to reach you more than 4 times and you ignore them for almost a month??? That is unacceptable.
