I'm an experienced 56 year old cyclist. I had the dreaded misfortune of being knocked off by a motorist in June '21. I was very pleased to have Yellow Jersey Insurance. My bike claim was handled brillantly by Kien Deng and their colleagues Serious Law made a claim for my personal injury and uninsured losses. All settled successfully. I've just renewed my policy and I heartily recommend Yellow Jersey to my friends. THANKS!

I would highly recommend using Yellow Jersey for your cycle insurance. The claims process was painless, communication was quick, and instructions were clear.

Hugh was extremely helpful today. Very informative, engaging and friendly. Really helped me work out which policy was right for me. If in doubt give them a call.

I've not made a claim, but the process of checking specific insurance issues (whether my garage was covered as it's not next to my property) was painless. The person opened up Google Maps with me, talked me through distances and so on. I'd recommend from a customer interaction point of view, at least.

After much searching around for a new travel insurance (my previous one having lapsed over lockdown) I found that Yellow Jersey is almost the only sensible Sports/Travel Insurance around, particularly if you are 71, compete and train for Triathlon, are in the GB Age Group Team and are participating in a "coaching" week abroad.
Hugh and Rebecca were particularly helpful and do not have the exhausting risk averse and ageist attitude of most other insurance staff and agencies.

Not sure why a lot of people complain about them never paying out. For me, it was a great experience. Went over a pothole last December and managed to crack my front rim, submitted a claim to YJ in the recent few weeks and they managed to payout in around 2 weeks. I think all those negative reviews are people not reading everything properly and YJ makes it very clear on their website, with multiple infographics/documents stating what they will and won't cover. Overall very happy with my experience with them.

I am very pleased with the service I have received from Robbie at Pedal cover. the response time was great and when the replacement items I needed were not available Robbie found a good alternative quickly. I would and do recommend pedal cover. If only the insurers of the company that caused the accident were as efficient!

Robbie was incredibly helpful sorting my claim after a recent accident. My claim was settled within a few days and I'd received replacement parts within a week of making the initial contact. Absolutely can not fault Robbie or Yellow Jersey - great experience, thank you.

Delighted to renew my bike insurance with Yellow Jersey.
After managing to confuse myself online and losing the will to live with comparison sites, picked up the phone and spoke to Hugh who explained with patience and professional efficiency the benefits of renewal and even saved me money!

Beware: Yellow Jersey is not the actual insurer. You will have to deal with third parties who care little about cyclists and their needs.

I have made a travel insurance claim at the beginning of December, and I am being bounced back and forth with Allianz and a random company called csa.co.uk.

Word for word about a month ago: 'Unfortunately, we are somewhat limited regarding following up on a Travel policy complaint.

Some other lovely representatives told me they would escalate the matter without hearing back from them.

To this day, I have yet to hear from either. All I know is that it is in the hands of the "underwriter". When I asked to close my account with them, they told me I would never get refunded if I did this. Why would anyone want to be with a company that passes their clients to third parties like this?

Wrote a review in march last year after these shysters weasled out of paying after waiting forever for a decision....it was Covid everything was cancelled??? They advised after I wrote first review they'd investigate.... well they have had a year and nothing... dont waste your money!!!!

Terrible Experience - Avoid!
Bought insurance to cover a cycling trip which was subsequently cancelled due to airline cancelling flights - it took nearly 6 months to get a decision or response from Yellow Jersey and their underwriter in which they decided against reimbursing us. Avoid this company as refused to accept liability despite T&Cs advising able to claim if flights cancelled and not your fault. No apologies, awful customer service & 6 months of chasing has left me & our group out of pocket and disappointed! Please do not give them your money!

First time having to make a claim and with dealing with Lien it was all plain sailing. He couldn't have been more helpful and claim was sorted and part delivered in a few days. Excellent service.

Honestly, what a waste of money this company has been. I have sadly had my bike recently stolen from a code secured bike shed located in my building's courtyard, to which access is also code secured. The bike was also locked to a special bike railing with a U-lock. I have just received a reply from Yellow Jersey saying that unfortunately they cannot pay out because my lock wasn't on Sold Secure's website. I bought it along with my bike off an American website, so no, it's not going to be on some English body's list. (Plenty of virtually identical locks, just different brands, were on that list however.)
I'm sure it was all in some small fine print and that's exactly what insurance companies love doing to get your money. But just as someone before me has rightly said - unless you cuddle up to your bike at night and don't let it out of your sight, don't waste your money. I'm sure they will find some other great reason to not pay out as well.

Insuring bike with Yellow Jersey Ultimate Insurance and on bike theft, claim getting rejected.

Only get insurance from Yellow Jersey if you park your bike inside your room locked to your bed.

Anything else won't be covered in insurance as they will come up with some reason to reject your claim in one email conversation

Prompt and courteous response to my initial claim enquiry, very straight forward claims process, and prompt payment.
