youplayweplay site not available WHY?

I have been with youplayweplay for a few years now, with only a few hiccups. 3 days ago, after reading bad reviews about this site. All of a sudden, I cannot log into my account, nor can I log into the many links to youplayweplay. Not even the complaints link works. I understand the new members sounding excited about youplaweplay, but you'd better stop for now, because something strange is going on. I wanted to check my tickets as usual, but now I cannot log in to my account. It's like they are trying to avoid communication with people, and they have frozen the login and links pages. I found info on Bing.com. Just type in you play we play, then the word scam. I suggest you all have a read before parting with your hard-earned cash for a while, till there is communication with them again, just to be safe. Please message anyone else who is having this problem with logging in to youplayweplay, so I know I am not alone.

Lots more chances to win!…

It's much better value than the National Lottery and being in a syndicate gives me so many more chances to win! It was easy to join, didn't cost a fortune and in my opinions, is excellent value for money. Fingers crossed I get my first win soon!

PLEASE READ: This website is a SCAM, they’re thieves, ignore “positive” reviews

This website is a SCAM. The stole my retired dads money. For months they were taking almost £30 out of his account each month even h to Pugh he never signed up for a subscription, he just bought a voucher from wowcher to play. There is no where on their website where you can cancel a subscription or close you account. In the end my dad had to call his bank and cancel his card. The bank agreed the website was committing fraud and actually refunded my dad the money after investigating the site. STAY AWAY

I’ve also heard and seen multiple claims that a lot of the positive reviews are fake or paid for by the site in the form of small winnings for users.

I spoke to 2 people online on a forum who had he exact same experience of a fraudulent direct debit being taken and no way to contact them or cancel it. Read the negative review and you will see.

They also delete the accounts of people who leave negative reviews and they don’t release their winnings to them before hand which means they are stealing money from people. I will be reporting them to trading standards

You'll win something

Increases the chance of winning something.
Also demonstrates the odds on winning a lottery are not great.
You pay a premium for this, but not excessive, found it very interesting, but even being in 2 syndicates (100 tickets) doesn't increase payback, you'll see winng tickets, but prize money is split.
I still use occasionally for bigger prize lotteries, I feel better with 50 tickets compared to one.

You play they don't pay

Bought an offer on Wowcher and played the lottery with this company even added money into the account created, to play more. I have £11.80 sat in their bank that I want to withdraw as I don't want to play anymore, I've contacted the you play we play customer services who said I can't have my money as it falls below the £20 withdrawal limit they set. I explained to them I was leaving the game and wanted my winnings, they immediately closed down my account so now I have no way of contacting them. Avoid this scam site as they must be creaming thousands of pounds in people's winnings.

Account blocked after accusation of bad review. Well, here’s a real bad review.

I had been using YouPlayWePlay for well over a year when my account was suddenly blocked. They had apparently associated my account with a bad review on TrustPilot.

I had never left a review on TrustPilot and my experience had been relatively good.

The fact those running the company are willing to weaponise TrustPilot for narrow ends speaks volumes. The fact they don’t even have the skills, knowledge or processes to check which reviews are linked to which account says even more.

The thing that stands out for me is the review they associated my account with accused the website of being a scam. The fact they’re so terrified of this accusation says something in itself.

And now that I think about it, I have a decent pot of winnings I’ve been unable to withdraw. I hadn’t been bothered as assumed I could in the near future, but the blocking of my account and mis-use of TrustPilot screams dodgey, dodgey, dodgey. Unethical and highly suspicious.

Here’s the email I received, linking to a one star review by “M M” on the 11th of September:

“ A member of our dedicated customer support team has created a support request, ******** on your behalf, with the following message:

A 1 star rating is extremely detrimental to our performance on TrustPilot and reflects poorly on our community.

The company may terminate any agreement by giving notice in writing if a Member's conduct in any way compromises the company's reputation or contravenes the Policies and Procedures of the Syndicate Member Agreement.

Consider removing your review or updating it? You gave our Customer Service team zero opportunity to assist you, prior to making such defamatory comments.

Customer service and satisfaction are our core values above and beyond, we do not have some huge corporate wheel behind us making huge profits for enterprise! Each and every review really does count!

Yours Sincerely,

The review in question, again not my own, was:

“ I would not trust this website. All their forum threads have been locked many years ago so that no one can discuss what is going on there. If you look into the company, the whole thing is run by three family members; their names are freely viewable if you google the company on the uk govt website. - a man, his wife and their son or his brother. The website itself is designed to be non intuitive so that you have to dig for information. They give people free “entries” if they make positive Trust Pilot reviews - so do not trust any of the positive reviews you see here, they are all paid for. Filter by negative review to see the real opinions. I can’t categorically say that it is a scam but it certainly stinks of one.”
