Shipping by sea i was told not available after being shown it was an option. I had based purchase decision on shipping cost by sea.
Then i could not find out package size and could not accurately get an estimate for shipping.
I had no idea what the shipping cost would be until after i purchased item.
Shipping cost was far higher than anticipated. this was a big letdown.

Because the final size and weight of a package can only be confirmed once items arrive at our warehouse, exact international shipping costs are not always available in advance. Transaction costs not clear upfront, you incur them as you go - fx conversion, shipping, then shipping again b/c first charge was just to their warehouse not to end destination, fx conversion again. Becomes uneconomical too quickly relative to cost of the actual item, at least to my liking, so not for me, I am afraid.

Reliable and works
Reliable and works – I have been using zenmarket for 10 years with no real issues. However, it's annoying that you have to pay 3,5% fees when putting money on your account and they work kinda slow sometimes. When I say slow, I mean that they don't buy a product for several and up to over 24 hours, which can lead to the requested products to be sold out (it makes me super nervous when they don't just buy a product after confirming it a few minutes prior?? like they confirm it and I send the money immediately after the confirmation and they still need so much time to actually buy it...)

Good service to US for many years
I've successfully ordered many packages to Chicago and Los Angeles from several different Japanese websites over 8 years. One time I encountered a buying limit as Zenmarket had many orders. The communications are respectful through various shipping challenges. Zenmarket charges a fair price for the service.

This was my first time using ZenMarket…
This was my first time using ZenMarket to obtain a Japan-only product. The process took about ten days from the time I sent ZenMarket the URL of the product to the time it shipped from their warehouse. The process was very easy to understand, with messages from ZenMarket keeping me apprised at every stage of the ordering and shipping process. The items arrived in mint condition, as I specified parcel reinforcement (a nice bonus). I also appreciate that ZenMarket posts a PDF of the shipping waybill so that you can track it immediately and pay for your customs/tax fees without delay. Thank you, ZenMarket, for allowing me to purchase like I live in Japan!

Perfect, really! I was able to order exactly what I wanted from various shops, the process was transparent and I was guided step by step, and on top of that there was no unsavoury surprise linked to any additional price to pay in terms of tariffs on receiving the parcel. It arrived quickly too, as I chose the plane delivery, and I will definitely order again if I can.
