Easy to use

Affordable Option if Evaluating Multiple Car Options

We were in the market for a car, and this was the easiest/most affordable way to get a general check on all the cars we were looking at. It might not be as detailed as some competitors, but it provided the exact amount of information we needed to make an informed decision.

I usually hesitate

I usually hesitate when making online purchases from companies I haven’t worked with before. After reading positive reviews about Zilocar, I decided to give them a shot—and I’m really glad I did. Two swings and misses by Zilocar

I bought a subscription while car shopping so as to have a second set of eyes on vehicle history. One of my first reports on a vehicle I was considering showed no wrecks, clean title and general good marks for the vehicle. I got the CarFax from the dealer and it showed two accidents, one with moderate to severe damage. I'm updating this review as a second car I was interested in had a severe structural accident as reported by Experian but no damage report by Zilocar. These are significant misses by Zilocar. Catching insurance claims and accident reports should be job 1 for any service.

Vehicle history providers compile data from multiple third-party databases, insurance partners, auctions, and public records, and each provider may have access to slightly different reporting sources or update timelines. Because of this, differences between reports from different services can occasionally occur, especially if certain incidents were reported to one database but not yet reflected in another at the time the report was generated.
