I have had this doorbell camera for 2 years and I've had nothing but problems. I can stand in front of my camera and it will record nothing but a car drives by and it records that. I have called tech support at least 8 times they acknowledged the problem but nothing gets fixed don't waste your money on this product
Terrible company
Terrible company, they change their features after you buy the camera and then won't offer you a replacement or refund. Online chat seems to think it is appropriate to respond to issues with a smiley face when you show you are unhappy with the service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, you will not get any support with your product.
Customers are your Business
Update, Unfortunately, the Door/Window sensors have failed. The camera is still working fine. Customer service is terrible. Cannot replace the sensors at all. Zmodo will not ship sensors to Canada and cannot get warranty replacement. Why sell a product in a country you will not support. Forced into refund through supplier. At least that is good new. Zmodo will not last long with this kind of attitude towards global market.
Very useful products
Very useful products. I started by buying one outdoor camera with a wifi range extender. I mounted the camera on a fence post about 200' away from my wifi and used the power from my entry gate on my driveway to power it. Now I monitor the main part of my pasture and can clearly see my hay ring which is another 250' away. I can monitor my heard from anywhere in the world at anytime. Once I used this system for a few months, I purchased a package of 8 a placed them all around our company's operations center both inside and outside the buildings. Now I get alerts when our trucks are coming and going and what our employee's activities are. We also are capturing the history so if we are ever needing to check for suspicious activity, we can. I did have a few questions when I first set the system up and customer service was able to quickly help us find a solution. We have a different brand of video devices in our admin building which also works great however we were able to buy an 8 camera set from Zmodo for the cost of one of the other brands cameras

Worst customer service Imhave ever seen.
Received a Zmodo DING kit at Christmas. it was short one tiny security screw. After more then 9 emails they refuse to send me the part without a formal RMA procedure.
This company has no idea what good “Customer Service” means.
Their staff wasted so much time and money over a ten cent screw.

The Zmodo system was easy to install
The Zmodo system was easy to install. It was all downhill from there. The system stopped sending motion warnings after 2 days. Then the system stopped communicating all together. The resolution was terrible. I tried to contact Zmodo. I took the system down, sent it back, got a refund, done. Then, a month later, Zmodo decided to contact me with solutions that didn't apply to system anyway.
This was a terrible purchase. Don't waste your time or money on this equipment.

Once you install the cloud service . There is no uninstall feature. And if you don't sign up for a service plan. You cannot download the videos to your phone to share with other people. I tried using the cloud service share feature. But it doesn't work at all. I hate it I do not want to sign up for it. The cameras and the app for the Zmodo cameras never configure right. Do yourself a favor. It is a fact you get what you pay for.

Zmodo Customer Support?
I have purchased several Zmodo cameras and a NVR from different sources (Amazon and eBay) during the past year. Although the equipment works reasonably well there is little or no documentation regarding set-up and its use. The most recent "firmware" update has compelled me to speak out about my frustration with Zmodo customer support (or the total lack of it!). One of the Zmodo selling points touts 24/7 help which is non-existent. My attempts at "live chat" and emails to resolve my current and past issues have failed. Since everything I have learned relating to using the Zmodo products has been through "trial and error" I suspect this will be the way it will remain.

The Worst
So Ive always had issues with Zmodo, Little problems but easily forgettable. But now that something has happened Zmodo was there to F*** it up. An unreliable cash grab company. They use to have a feature that allowed non subscribed customers to go back within 24hrs and watch a slideshow version of the video but NOW they dont even allow that. NOW that i need a clip of the video as Evidence. It is against the law to withhold evidence, so I could possibly sue the company if they do not release it to me.

worst customer services I have ever had with any company ever. I have called their help lines and sat on hold for hours at a time before just hanging up the phone and trying again the next day. I have emailed multiple times with no response.

Zmodo cost me 7 hours of lost time.
Bought 4 Zmodo IP cams and have been using them in my home for many months. The seemed to be relatively easy to set up and use. When I decided I wanted an IP doorbell I saw RING all over but since the Zmodo product had been so easy and reliable I bought GREET from Best Buy.
That is when my nightmare begins.
From the moment I took the product from the box I was doomed to failure and didn't know it. I am very technical having had a PC and a Mac since the early 80's. I've written code for my own computers and built more than one computer that I've used. How hard could this one product be?
I started the install on Saturday and after many hours gave up. Sunday came and I began again trying to install this IP doorbell. I tried everything and then tried an online chat with a Zmodo guy in China, Tim X. It was clear that he didn't know much and after more than an hour Tim X admitted that he was tired and at the end of his shift and that is why he wasn't able to help me. I was red in the face and extremely frustrated that I couldn't make this work.
Enter Jamie from the Illinois Zmodo office. Amazing person and very friendly. She knew what the problem was immediately and fixed the issue in less than 10 minutes. The fix that she had for me was not in any documents from the GREET box or the BEAM box or anything you've published on line. I would have gone on forever if she had not gotten involved.
My question is simple. How many people who bought GREET are in the same boat? How many returns is this creating? I completely understand many of the reviews I've read recently about how difficult this product was to install.
Finally why would a company like yours not share that pocket knowledge that Jamie has so that people like me could get help that would allow us to install that product ourselves. Had I known about the fix Jamie gave me It would have taken minutes and not 7+ hours and lots of frustration.
I have 5 pieces of your IP products I will never recommend you to anyone and I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU AGAIN. In fact I am planning a lot of bad reviews of Zmodo and their products in a variety of places. I'll start with Best Buy, Amazon and other USA sites and move on to Banggood and Gearbest. I will write down my opinion in as many places as I can find.
You have allowed me and others to struggle for hours, even whole days trying to install something that ultimately took only minutes to hook up and use.
Jamie is the only bright spot in this dismal situation. Thank you Jamie for saving me from Zmodo HELL!

Terrible service if and when you reach someone.
Seemed to be the best company for my needs. Ordered two outdoor wireless cameras and the doorbell cam, Greet and the pan/tilt camera.
After having various issues, customer service informed me of a known problem with the Beam wifi extender that came with Greet. I updated my internet and got a new router and my cameras still go offline and when it's connect, it's slow to load live feed. After two weeks of emails to get an RMA, Patty replied that I would have to fill out a form for warranty replacement. Fortunately I have a few days left to pack up and return items through Amazon so that's what I'm going to do. Zmodo could be a great company if they realized service and support are an important ingredient to success. It's sad.

Zmodo - the worst mistake of my life
Choosing Zmodo for my CCTV system was by far the worst mistake of my life. Quickly followed by a year of frustration, problems, faults without any customer support.
The final straw was for the cameras and network video recorder (NVR) to update to the latest firmware. This left me not being able to view live or recorded footage locally on my PC anymore. After checking the internet forums, it appeared everyone was in the same boat.
Zmodo have decided that all customers should now record to their cloud instead. The latest update stops from accessing any local recordings, and forces you to use the cloud service. Unfortunately, despite the firmware update being rolled out, the cloud service is not yet available. In other words, it leaves customers with the ability to access their live and/or recorded video footage.
I posted a comment in their Zmodo support forum stating my displeasure at the predicament they have left their customer base in. There response was not what i expected. They blocked my account and deleted my posts.
I am now left with 9 cameras, an NVR and months of recordings that I cannot access. I am now in the process of uninstalling all Zmodo equipment.
I am hoping that this message prevents anyone else from falling fowl of Zmodo.

OK Product - Worst after-sale service
I bought a Zmodo IP-camera, since my research showed that Zmodo was an ok brand and build quality. I did not want to buy the cheapest brands, in case of lacking security patches and other firmware updates.
I have been happy with the Zmodo camera, but since 2015 Zmodo has technical problems, which means that email alerts for motion detection are not working. Reason is that most email providers have updated their authentication methods to newer standards for security reasons and Zmodo are not willing to update the firmware with a fix - but rather instead force the customers to use their app for alerts.
This it not why I bought the camera and for me email alerts is an essential feature that was advertised and no longer is working.
Camera came with 2 years warranty, but I was told by service told that they only replace during warranty and therefore could not help me as other cameras also don't work with email alerts. Refund was not an option. So basically no help :(
Was happy about Zmodo before. Now I will never buy it again and advise you to find another brand.
By the way: Funlux brand is owned by Zmodo, so could be same issues with this brand.
