Would not recommend

I’m not usually one for unsolicited reviews, but something needed to be said here.

The electricians were brought in to diagnose some electrical problems with the flat. Without any forewarning, they basically began upturning our apartment unplugging anything/everything in the flat to test outlets. Now, I completely understand that this was a necessary task for them to do their job, but the way they just tore into everything without any forewarning or communication was unsettling to say the least.

This alone wouldn’t have warranted this post, but the cherry on top is that eventually they said “OK we’re done” and took off. Not only did they fail to plug anything back in, but they didn’t communicate that they unplugged anything in the first place! This means that:

--Our pet lizard’s terrarium was completely unplugged/unheated (luckily we caught this one quickly enough so the lizard is fine).
--They pulled out our fridge in such a way that it was impossible to get it back into place. (We’re now waiting on a carpenter to amend the situation)
--They unplugged our freezer, which we didn’t catch until almost a week later! We’re lucky that we only lost about 25 quid worth of frozen goods, but we did have to spend an afternoon thoroughly cleaning it.

I would strongly admonish anyone who’s considering using their services to find another electrician, but if for some reason you have no choice, make sure you take a pass through your premises to ensure that everything is in its right place and has power before they depart.
