I’ve been a member at PureGym St Paul’s…
I’ve been a member at PureGym St Paul’s for several years now, and I can confidently say that the quality of this gym has steadily declined over time. What used to be a convenient and decent place to train has now become an uncomfortable, frustrating environment.
First and foremost, the manager’s behavior is completely unprofessional. Multiple times, my friends and I have noticed him staring at us while we work out, making us feel extremely uncomfortable and self-conscious. This is not the kind of atmosphere you expect in a gym – it’s invasive, unsettling, and completely unacceptable from someone in a position of authority.
The equipment is another issue, the gym seems to be filled with unnecessary equipment, especially a ridiculous number of bikes that hardly anyone ever uses. Meanwhile, the functional or in-demand machines are left in disrepair.
Let’s not forget the lockers, which are barely functional – they get stuck or fail to lock properly, leaving you worried about your belongings while you train. It’s a basic facility that you expect to work without issue.
Despite raising concerns, nothing has changed. It feels like member feedback is completely ignored. I’ve watched this gym decline steadily year after year, and sadly, it’s now one of the worst PureGyms I’ve been to.
If you’re looking for a gym that respects its members, maintains its equipment, and provides a comfortable training environment, St Paul’s PureGym is NOT it.
