I love Achica
I love Achica. I've been an active customer for many years. The main reason for that is their customer service. Always prompt, always polite and always helpful.
I would have given five stars, however there is room for improvement with their website. Some of the features don't work so well on a mobile device (such as zoom) and it can generally be a bit clunky to navigate. I do my best browsing on my mobile to and from work so anything to make the experience run more smoothly would be welcome.
I'd also like to see more detailed descriptions of items. Often there is only a generic description - sell it to me, give me ideas on how it could be used - and few images. I want to see the inside of things (handbags, cabinets, etc) and I want to see them in situ with other things around them to help judge scale.
The website should update in real time. Too often I thought I got the last of something, only to discover weeks later when it never arrived that they didn't have any in stock. This not only leads to disappointment but means that I've had to chase my overdue, out of stock item in order to get a refund. I'd like Achica to be more proactive in this area with its customer service (CS). They probably need to have a more integrated system between CS and sales.
I'd like them to reduce the amount you have to spend in order to qualify for free delivery and offer flash sales where the delivery charge is waved.
A size chart for clothes from various vendors would also be useful. I buy my daughter dresses now and then from here and she's tall for her age so it can be tricky to gauge which size I should order.
I recently had to return an item of furniture which arrived badly damaged. The return adventure was frustrating and very off-putting, especially as I was having to put in a great deal of effort to sort it out and was told I couldn't be refunded until the item had been returned. This was despite sending photographs of the item to prove the damage. I think this policy should be revisited. Amazon refunds customers automatically so there is a precedent and customer expectation that any reputable company will do the same in respect of its customer base.
However, on the whole I am a great fan of Achica and the products they offer!
