Really fast delivery!

I would have given 5 stars but for one thing. Included with my order I purchased a gift card. It was sent as a digital file which is fine, however it's the most boring looking document I've ever seen and doesn't reflect the brand or the people who these kinds of products are marketed towards. The items and gift card are a present. I'm not sure if I had the option to purchase an actual card or not (I get it, it's an unnecessary use of plastic), however I would have appreciated a nicer looking digital product. In the end I made my own and because that took up my time and additional effort, I'm giving 4-stars because their is room for improvement.

Excellent customer service - it makes all the difference!

I visited the site for the first time and I had a couple of questions about an experience that I was interested in buying. I was able to chat with someone and they were extremely helpful. I got everything I needed quickly and easily.
The purchasing process was straightforward and fast so overall, I had a very positive experience and will certainly consider purchasing from them again in future.

So far so good

So far so good! I was able to buy seeds which I couldn't find more locally. The items came within a few days, weren't contained in a pile of unnecessary plastic packaging (a big 'thumbs up' for that), and were reasonably priced.

Although I still prefer to source as much as I can locally, I'm more than happy to include Wexthuset within my shopping circle.

Pretty good selection of products and…

Pretty good selection of products and easy enough to search. But, when searching for things under 'kids' I am surprised to find very adult items such as sexy costumes and sexy underwear. These items have no place in the kids section.

The items were as described

The items were as described. I only wish they had more variety of items for a kids dicso party. I'm not a fan of balloons so that leaves fewer options.

My order was delivered within a couple of days, and I was updated at every stage. Fast delivery is important to me. Until I moved to Sweden, I shopped with Amazon. Items there were normally delivered the next day, or even the same day so I am used to getting things quickly!

Love my new sofa!

Have puchased small items from Made.com before but this was the fisrt large furniture purchase.

We needed a new sofa so it was great that it came so quickly and on a day of my choosing.

My only stucking point was that the delivery guys wouldn't take away the packaging. They said we'd need to keep it if we wanted to return the item. But who really has the space to keep such a large amount of cardboard?

Long time customer. Longer may I continue!

I have been using Achica for several years and I cannot fault their customer service. They are always prompt, polite and helpful whether it is by phone or by email.

I love the variety of items available but have noticed that many of the discounts aren't exclusive to Achica nor are they as good as they once we're. I have also noticed that items are taking longer to arrive and that more often aren't arriving within the specified delivery period. Achica aren't very good about being proactive about this so I find myself chasing purchases and even checking in advance to make sure they are still on track for delivery. This means more effort on my part and a loss of general confidence in delivery times.

Having said that I am rarely disappointed with the things I have purchased and returning items is generally a straight forward process.

I would like to see Achica be more proactive with their customers when they purchase items.

However, I do enjoy browsing because you never know what perfect gem may be waiting to be discovered.

We now have two beautiful beds!

We now have two beautiful beds from Warren Evans and couldn't be happier. We bought one 18 months ago and one of the slats was warped. They replaced it now questions asked.

We've now replaced the bed and mattress in the guest room and it looks lovely in the room. Plus our guests tell us it's very comfortable!

Not sure I could ever buy from anyone else!

3 'Strong' stars!

I've been shopping with Achica for several years. Their customer service is excellent and is one of the main reasons I keep returning. I consider my ranking to be a 'strong' three stars because as much as I enjoy shopping with them, there are some areas where I believe they could improve:

I wish items were delivered faster. Sometime I've had to wait 6-8 weeks. In an online environment where I am used to getting things the next day, this feels like an unnecessarily long time.

Items advertised are not always available. Several times I've purchased supposedly the last or nearly last item only for it to never turn up. I am the one who then has to chase Achica for an update only to discover that it is no longer in stock. If the website updated in real time this would mitigate against such disappointment in the future. But I also think Achica should be proactively contacting me about the items on my order.

More photos and better descriptions would be helpful. Items aren't always shown 'in situ' or to scale, making it difficult to gauge how well they will fit. This is particularly true of furniture. Although measurements are usually given, it would be helpful to also have the item next to the image of a 6ft person to help judge scale.

Returning items can be a challenge as return slips are not always included and you are at the mercy of the company collecting the item. Refunds aren't issued until collection has happened even in the case of damaged items where photographic evidence has been provided. When competing with companies that provide a no quibble return/refund experience, I feel that Achica lags behind.

Baskets expire far to quickly. 25 minutes is not sufficient especially if you wish to browse more than one or two areas of the website. I would like to be able to update my order, rather than create a new order (with another delivery fee) up until my order is about to be dispatched. If I have to wait weeks for an order I should be able to add to it-items aren't always delivered at the same time anyway.

However, other companies can learn from their customer service they are always prompt, polite and follow up until the issue is resolved.

I love the products they have on offer but wish that everything was a minimum of 30% off. I've noticed that over the years the size of discount as decreased and there are fewer big discounts which is how they positioned themselves when they launched.

I will continue to shop with Achica and hope they work hard to continue to improve my customer experience.

I love Achica

I love Achica. I've been an active customer for many years. The main reason for that is their customer service. Always prompt, always polite and always helpful.
I would have given five stars, however there is room for improvement with their website. Some of the features don't work so well on a mobile device (such as zoom) and it can generally be a bit clunky to navigate. I do my best browsing on my mobile to and from work so anything to make the experience run more smoothly would be welcome.
I'd also like to see more detailed descriptions of items. Often there is only a generic description - sell it to me, give me ideas on how it could be used - and few images. I want to see the inside of things (handbags, cabinets, etc) and I want to see them in situ with other things around them to help judge scale.
The website should update in real time. Too often I thought I got the last of something, only to discover weeks later when it never arrived that they didn't have any in stock. This not only leads to disappointment but means that I've had to chase my overdue, out of stock item in order to get a refund. I'd like Achica to be more proactive in this area with its customer service (CS). They probably need to have a more integrated system between CS and sales.
I'd like them to reduce the amount you have to spend in order to qualify for free delivery and offer flash sales where the delivery charge is waved.
A size chart for clothes from various vendors would also be useful. I buy my daughter dresses now and then from here and she's tall for her age so it can be tricky to gauge which size I should order.
I recently had to return an item of furniture which arrived badly damaged. The return adventure was frustrating and very off-putting, especially as I was having to put in a great deal of effort to sort it out and was told I couldn't be refunded until the item had been returned. This was despite sending photographs of the item to prove the damage. I think this policy should be revisited. Amazon refunds customers automatically so there is a precedent and customer expectation that any reputable company will do the same in respect of its customer base.
However, on the whole I am a great fan of Achica and the products they offer!

My go to site for all my retail therapy needs!

This is a great site. The custome service is always excellent and I'm always pleased with my purchases.

A few improvement could be made to make my experience even better such as a more detailed description of items and more photos of different angles. The introduction of a customer rating for items would also be helpful. I find it very helpful to know what others think about products before I buy them.

Great shade!

This is a lovely shade and looks great in our bedroom. The reflective 'gold' interior gives a sophisticated and relaxed glow to the room.

I would have given it 5 stars but the first time I tried to order it the order didn't go through. I only realised this when I noticed I hadn't been charged nor had I received an email so I had to order again. It took me another two tries and then I kept receiving emails telling me to confirm my order. At least I'd received an email and my account had been charged so I knew the order had been successful. In an age when items are often delivered within a few days, I found habing to wait a few weeks (and pay for delivery that slow) a bit annoying although this won't necessarily stop me from ordering from Made.com again.

fun and easy to use!

We have so many photos on our laptop that we never look at so making a photobook is a great way to showcase our favourite memories. The site is easy to use and it's great fun going through all our old pics. We have a little girl so the books are a great gift for the grandparents!
