Dreadful Service
I joined British Gas recently, no problems with changing to them. Was then offered an EV rate at a substantially reduced price. I called them to find out if that was correct as couldn’t see how I would cover the cost of my usage. The handler was adamant it was correct. I changed tariff but could telly was too high for what I was paying. I called again to be told that my tariff had not been changed but the payment had. This handler confirmed my tariff was too low for my usage and quoted me a new tariff for an extra £100 per month with an amount of compensation to be paid for incorrect advice, not changing the tariff having to spend around 3 hours on phone. I was told it would all change in a couple of days. I have now discovered an amount has been taken out of the bank which is more than I was quoted. The tariff has still not been changed and nor has the agreed compensation been paid . Needless to say I will be looking for another supplier.
