Hung up on me when I asked why they needed so much personal information before providing a price

UPDATE: no. I won’t get in touch directly. I’ll never contact you again. I will spend my money elsewhere. You do not provide the service advertised. The reason you need extensive information to provide a price is so you can sell my information to third parties. That should be clear on your website. When I called back and asked for a copy of the call recording when your employee hung up on me, I was told that your company policy is not to release copies of call recordings. That’s a breach of data protection law - and given your business model is selling personal data, that’s an outrageous disregard for the law.

Seriously everyone - don’t contact these people… find your local supplier and go direct.

No response to email query - but no phone number to call!

Website broke after I'd keyed my payment details. I emailed (there's no phone number) to ask if they had processed the payment - still waiting for a reply... that's a poor start to a relationship.

I can see your email was sent at 27/12/2023 14:11 and responded to the same day at 14:34, confirming how to pay.

You can also confirm payment directly from the Payments tab of your Flow dashboard and if you were issued a Policy number this is also how you can confirm this payment succeeded.

Hopeless

Ignored my ‘safe place’ instructions

Left the parcel in a place that wasn’t safe and the cardboard box that was left in the pouring rain is now a soggy mess

Unbelievably poor customer service

For as long as it's ok for customer service people to hang up, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

You wouldn't dare treat customers like that face-to-face, so don't do it on the phone.

It's indicative of a toxic culture. If you're hiring people who think this is ok, you're hiring the wrong people. And they're being trained and managed by the wrong people.

£45 to return a jumper that is not as described

I ordered a fairly expensive merino wool jumper. Size is good (I was careful to check in advance), however I can't believe this is really merino wool... it's the scratchiest wool I've ever seen / felt.

So now I'm returning the jumper - at a cost of £45!!!!!

My advice - find a UK supplier with free returns...

More than 50% of our stamp duty returned to us within a month!

Like many other reviewers, I was skeptical when I received a letter in the post which indicated that I may have overpaid stamp duty.

I called and spoke to Ben who was happy to answer my queries.

Ben's team were extremely efficient - I received a document to sign electronically and a welcome message with questions for me to answer within an hour.

Amy was really helpful and on-the-ball.

I spent an hour or so taking photos to support our application for a stamp duty refund.

From start to finish, including answering a couple of extra queries from Amy, the whole thing took less than 4 hours.

Even so, I remained skeptical - how many times have we all heard stories in the news where somebody was tooo trusting and got scammed? I didn't want to be one of those people... and how often does anyone _really_ have a successful claim for money they didn't know they'd overpaid?

It sounded too good to be true.

However, my skepticism was unfounded (sorry Ben, Amy & co!).

2-3 weeks later I received an email from Amy, confirming that HMRC had received our claim.

2 days ago, Amy emailed again to say that the money was on its way from HMRC to Davis & James.

And then yesterday (having provided my proof of ID and the account details into which we want the money to be paid), we received a large payment (more than half the amount we originally paid in stamp duty) into our account.

Like you... I scanned the Trust Pilot reviews before committing to this process.

And scanned them again before I handed over my bank details.

If it helps put your mind at rest, please ask Ben or Amy to pass your details to me. I'd be happy to have a 2 minute conversation with you to put your mind at rest that this review (and the process) was genuine and I really did get our stamp duty overpayment back...

Renders phone unusable. Terrible customer service.

LIfeproof case for iphone 7 might make it waterproof / shockproof etc

But unfortunately it also means that nobody can hear you when you talk on the phone.

If you're happy to remove your phone from the case every time you need to make a call (or if you don't make calls) then this would be a great case.

Customer service is shocking. They only accept returns within 14 days. They don't respond to emails. And good luck trying to find a phone number!

I wish I'd checked these reviews before I bought the case!

Now having to try and get my money back via credit card company.

Save yourself £70 and buy something different.

Repair doesn't do what it says, and I can't believe how rude this guy was!

I paid £99 to have my SoundDock repaired and upgraded.

The website says:

...all docks will be fitted with a new docking connector...

and

"...also includes the USB charge upgrade modification to enable the dock to charge and play all iPhones and the newest Apple devices that require USB charging..."

This isn't true... it came back with an old-style connector (not iphone 5 / 6) and I can't charge my phone at all.

When I rang and explained, the guy said "well, we've sold hundreds of these and nobody has ever complained."

I asked if he'd like some customer feedback so he could understand why / how I had misunderstood, and his reply was "not really"

Maybe they do a good job... who knows.

But the service they sell is not the service they advertise, and I can't remember speaking to somebody so rude on the phone.

The only solution he offered was for me to package the dock and go to the post office (again) so that they could undo the repair, refund my money and send a broken dock back to me.

If you can find someone else to do the repair, I'd avoid these guys. I wouldn't recommend them.
