Great hotel Mirador Papagayo, Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Friendly staff, good range of activities (Archery, Rifle shooting etc). Excellent pianist on Thursday evenings near the reception area. Free water stations around the hotel and in the dining room, free safe deposit box in your bedroom. Tasty food, good variety of food and evening entertainment (singers, flamenco dancing, acrobats etc). Free, very useful hotel bus down to the centre of Playa Blanca, only taking 5 minutes. Hotel in a very peaceful, quiet location yet only 15 minutes walk along the promenade to the marina and shops.

We have just returned from our week coach trip to Sicily. The first hotel in Cefalu was of a very high quality, the second hotel Caesar Palace in Naxos not so. I wouldn’t recommend the second hotel as the food was mediocre, served in a canteen like atmosphere. The outside of the hotel-the big swimming pool was its redeeming feature. Our guide Sandra was amazing with her Sicilian knowledge and the places we visited were great. Rather a pity the coach trip days were so long, packing in too much in one day so hardly any time to relax or soak up the authentic Italian atmosphere. I’m glad we did the trip though, met some lovely folk and saw a lot of Sicily.

The aeroplane was very clean and comfortable. The meal we preordered was served quickly and not long after take off. It was very tasty (one meat and one vegetarian dinner) and hot. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The journey was very smooth and we landed ahead of the scheduled landing time.

Workmen turned up promptly and were very professional in their removal of our old asbestos roof. They did a great job on making the roof higher and then installing the new roof. They worked efficiently and tidied up very well at the end of the job.

Easy to find information on flight dates and booking straight forward. Pity you have to pay extra for hold luggage but nice to get a 15% discount if you book a meal and luggage at the same time as getting your flight.
