Delighted first time motorhome owners

From our first contact with Andy at YC&M, right through to collecting our first ever motorhome, yesterday, our experience has been exactly what we hoped for and more. When spending a huge amount of money on an item that you're not familiar with, trust in your dealer is essential. Andy virtually held our hand through the process and each member of staff we had contact with gave us confidence that we'd made the right decision in buying from YC&M. We also feel that support won't stop there and if required, we'll always get a friendly reception and help/advice as needed. We also felt the atmosphere across the business as a whole is very positive and must be a great place to work. If only we lived closer we'd definitely be frequenting the Classic Cafe on a regular basis!! The service and food were equal to a first class restaurant. We have already sung the praises of YC&M to friends and are very happy to recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a motorhome or caravan.

We collected our first ever motorhome…

We collected our first ever motorhome yesterday, complete with tracker fitted by the dealer. There's a lot to learn!! I telephoned MI for help and Lester was great. He got me set up and confirmed that my understanding of how the tracker system works was correct. Because we had moved the van before setting up the app, I received telephone calls to say that MI had been alerted to its movement. This was useful because now I know what to expect in a real theft situation. Many thanks Lester and MI of course.

Had prompt response to my enquiry

I placed my order on 30th September and was advised of likely timings. I was surprised at how long they were, but they gave a good price for my item. I suspect they are a newish/small company and are still working on improving process, timings etc. I received a prompt reply to my email enquiry yesterday and although my order is taking longer than I'd liked, I shall withhold any negative judgement for the period of time I've been quoted. I could go out and buy the item from Argos this morning for not much more. I really did want it for a caravan trip next week. But I'll exercise a little patience and if all does go pear-shaped, will ask my creditcard provider to step in to secure a refund if required.

Update: My item was delivered yesterday as promised by Mark, Customer Services. I've therefore upped my rating.

Fabulous break at The White Swan, Arundel; a great deal from Travelzoo

Earlier this year I saw the fully refundable deal for The White Swan, Arundel, on Travelzoo. There were 2 and 3 night options on offer, so I booked both for a 5 day break given we were travelling a long way and had plenty of places we wished to visit. The whole Travelzoo booking process was clear and straightforward and the deal itself was excellent. Sadly, I have had to cancel 2 other bookings with Travelzoo and that process was also straightforward with refunds appearing promptly on my creditcard.
In addition to a great room rate, on the first night of each booking we received £50 towards dinner and overall the food at The White Swan was really good with plenty to choose from on both the breakfast and dinner menus (and plenty of it!). The hotel itself looked and felt welcoming; our room was clean, spacious and at the back, which meant little traffic noise. To top it off, all the staff we interacted with were professional and friendly and it was clear there was a good team atmosphere. We felt quite sad to leave and would certainly recommend both Travelzoo and The White Swan - which was located just outside of Arundel and proved a great base to explore some of the many attractions in that part of West Sussex.

Very straightforward order process. Good value. Delivered when promised. Our friend was delighted with them. Ordered a vase too so she'd be able to enjoy them immediately.
