I will never shop at Boots again

After many years shopping at Boots, I never will again. They have really let me down. I placed an online order, received completely the wrong order (I can only assume the wrong labels were put on the boxes). Many emails sent asking for them to arrange to pick up the incorrect order from my house as it’s difficult for me to get out (I could have been dishonest and kept the other items, but I wasn’t!). With a lot of effort, made it to a Boots store to return them. Had to wait half an hour as they tried to reach Head Office by phone to tell them I’d returned them. They couldn’t get through so more time wasted. I asked them to send what I ordered originally and the free gift (the only reason I ordered!) wasn’t included!! So I’m worse off even though it was Boots’ mistake! I asked multiple times for my issue to be escalated as I wasn’t happy, and customer service flat out refused. Boots, what has happened?! Very untrustworthy and unreliable service.

Like everyone, we’ve been scammed by this website. Contact your bank/credit card company and you should get your money back. This person is the lowest of the low. Absolute scum.

Appalling safety and safeguarding

When TQ12 first started, they were fantastic. Unfortunately, they’ve really gone downhill and I’ll never use them again. As a lone woman, I booked a taxi back to my home in Kingsteignton from Teignmouth. After 30 minutes of waiting I called again to see if they were on their way and was told 5 minutes. After another 30 minutes of waiting, I called 2 more times, to be told they were on their way. After another 30 minutes I received a text to say that my taxi had been cancelled leaving me stranded, on my own, at midnight. I received no other communication to say it had been cancelled and no reason. Absolutely appalling safeguarding and quite frankly, they should be investigated.

I’ve received absolutely appalling…

I’ve received absolutely appalling service from them and want to make everyone aware. I first made an order back in September. It didn’t arrive until a month later, after ignored emails, and was then told that the main part of my order wasn’t in stock! After a month!! So I had to pay delivery on one little thing. I asked if I could order a different version of the thing that was out of stock but get free delivery and yet again my email was ignored. So I made a separate order and paid more delivery. It came but was too small (description on website was incorrect) so I returned it. A month later I still haven’t had my refund and surprise surprise my emails have been ignored. Please save yourself money and never use this terrible company.

Outstanding customer service

Amazing customer service! I hardly ever do Trustpilot reviews, and when I do it’s usually because I’m annoyed about bad customer service. However, Curlsmith has the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! I bought a few products from them to try and heard that you can return them if they’re not working for your hair. All the products were amazing apart from one, which made my hair over moisturised. I asked them if I could swap it for a different product and they gave me a refund and told me to keep it to pass on to a curly-haired friend to try! Outstanding customer service. Thank you, Curlsmith.

Disappointing experience

I am really disappointed in this company. I ordered the phytokeratin to add protein to my curly hair products. I got in touch with them to say that although the product is good, the bottle is totally unfit for purpose as you can’t control how much comes out. It will be dropping out quite well, then all of a sudden gush out, wasting both the product you’re mixing it with and the phytokeratin itself. The response I received was unsatisfactory, basically telling me to measure it out using jewellers scales. Yes, like I have them in my cupboard! And that is no solution to the fact it gushes out the bottle. I then suggested that a dropper bottle would be a better idea, trying to help them out, and they sent me a link to pipettes to purchase on their website!!

I also complained that the shelf life is very short and their response was that I could have contacted them before I ordered to check the shelf life! As if I would do that when I’m not even aware that it has a shelf life! Such bad customer service.

The most disappointing thing, which shows me that this company is untrustworthy and deceptive, is the fact that I wrote a 3 star review on their website. It hasn’t appeared, despite me doing it 3 times now! So they’re only showing the positive reviews on their website which surely isn’t allowed?!!

Regarding the phytokeratin bottle, your feedback on its functionality is invaluable. We are continually working to improve our packaging, and I am pleased to share that most of our products in bottles less than 100ml will now be equipped with a dropper cap for more controlled dispensation.

Concerning the use of accurate scales, such as jeweller scales, you are correct in highlighting their importance for precise formulation work. These scales, which can measure as little as 0.1g accurately, are an affordable and crucial tool for achieving the desired results in homemade formulations. They are readily available on platforms like Amazon, and we recognise that providing this advice initially may have been more helpful.

As for the shelf life of our products, we have made efforts to improve transparency in this area. The shortest shelf life is now clearly displayed on the product pages for most of our products, allowing customers to make informed decisions before purchase.

Regarding your experience with the review process on our website, we have a review period that allows us to follow up on reviews that are not positive, with the goal of improving the customer's experience. We do publish negative reviews as well, as is evident from our site. Look at our products that are not all 5 star, some of them have 1 or 2 star reviews in the mix as well.

Much better, thank you Craft Gin Club!

I recently wrote a 1 star review due to Craft Gin Club messing up an order which left me chasing them for ages only to be told eventually that they’d made a mistake and it was lost. This was really frustrating but I wanted to change my review to 4 stars as their customer service since has been pretty good. I was given a free gift and some points for my account. They didn’t have to do this but it’s these little things that make a difference to whether people use a company or not.
