Positive experience despite initial concerns
We ordered a ceiling fan we had seen in a local lighting store at a much better price with 1 day delivery or $25 back. When our expected delivery date came but not our fan, we started to get nervous about purchasing on this site, especially given our credit card was charged on the expected delivery date. I reached out to the company using the email contact link on their website and heard back relatively quickly that they would "look into our order". Jay-Pee reached out to us within a short period of time to let us know there was a problem with our fan lost in transit and shortly thereafter we received a new tracking number from him. At that point we still weren't convinced we would ever receive it but it came relatively quickly. I emailed Jay-Pee to thank him for his help and let him know we loved the fan. I asked about the $25 delivery refund and Jay-Pee saw to it that we had the $25 credit within a day. While we had initial concerns about 1 Stop Lighting, our experience with Jay-Pee was great and I would not hesitate to order from them again!
Partial shipment of an order appears missing…
Partial shipment of an order appears lost in limbo at Fed Exp even though it was supposed to be dilvered 2 days ago. 1stop was (and is) not helpful in finding out if the shipment is some how lost (still in the Fed Ex receiving department) or whatever. Fed exp cannot provide a delivery date or reason why it was not processed with the rest of the order. Their online help is useless.
follow up.. I found out from fed ex that the package was on the wrong truck going cross country. 1 stop was impossible to fix the situation and I wasted hours trying to resolve it with no satisfaction. If you get to a real person, they double talk you .

Terrible Customer Service
I bought a sconce from them and had a delay in my remodeling for some structural repairs that needed to happen. When we got to the point of installing the item which had been sitting in the box for 6 months, a faulty part snapped, not due to rough handling, but because it was faulty. They basically didn't care and said they couldn't do anything. It was a $300 sconce.
More cons than pros
Well I just ordered a light there and here’s my experience so far.
Plus: the light price was good. They ship to my location. The speed of the site was good. You can actually text with someone if there’s an issue.
Minus: the search tool isn’t that helpful for colors and styles. My first time buyer discount ended up being capped at 10% and after I actually paid for it, the discount disappeared. So that’s pretty crappy. Also the price dropped by $25 after I purchased. I took a screenshot and sent to them since they have a low price guarantee. None of their emails worked.And they no longer answer the phone. Now I’m chatting with an agent via text chat. He says he cannot match the low price on their own site ($25.31). Finally after much bickering he has agreed to refund $25. He told me my order won’t arrive until the 13th. I was in the process of asking him about the 3 day delivery guarantee when he just closed the chat. I had to open another chat. This other agent argued with me that the offer the first agent provided was a one time refund. After a lot of arguing he agreed to provide another $10 for the delayed delivery.
Conclusion:
Not a smooth, efficient online process and dealing with the agents wasn’t pleasant. Seems like a lot of misleading advertising that doesn’t deliver unless you have time to spend to argue and force them to make good on their promises. But the price was good and at least you can text with someone if there’s an issue.

They are not doing anything to resolve the issue. The following is an email from this morning after I thanked Ann for working on the issue:

Update: 7/31/25 @ 2:51PM Eastern. They have sent 3 direct emails from Jay, Aaa, and now Stephanie all 3 stating the case is closed and I will receive a tracking number. The only change is when I try to login to see if they shipped anything, THEY DELETED MY INFORMATION. No one is sending anything. Also to say all materials were delivered I have 2 Ring cams that say different.
I spent $2,043 on July 11th to purchase 2 Ceiling Fans, 2 Light fixtures for Ceiling Fans and two 72" Down rods. They have sent only one 72" down rod. They cannot be contacted via phone, I can only submit messages through their website. As of this morning my account information/invoice has been deleted from their system and am unable submit any additional request because my order number is deleted from their system. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. On the BBB website they have a A+ rating mean while they 44 COMPLAINTS.

I was very skeptical before ordering. The schandaler I ordered arrived. I wish shipping would have been little faster. The craftman of the schandaler gets 4 out of 5 and the service also gets 4 out of 5.

Terrible company and money grabber
Placed an order on 25th June and was told 3 day shipping guarantee. Today is 24th July , not shipped and no money refund . No real person to talk over the phone . Have to contact PayPal to get refund . Big liars and fraud
Now they are saying back ordered. But I’m asking to refund my money and they are not even issuing refund . No real person to talk . If you can’t fulfill order then why not giving refund back ?

Junnelle at 1stoplighting is fantastic. My most recent (3rd) order for pendant lights arrived in pieces. Within my first encounter via chat, Junnelle, submitted the request for replacements for me. Within less than 10 minutes, I had confirmation of the request after providing the necessary documentation.
Ann was very helpful
I ordered a set of lights for our kitchen, and unfortunately, one arrived with a missing piece. Ann was incredibly helpful and responsive in getting that part sent out quickly. But what really stood out was how she went above and beyond when things got more complicated—our contractors accidentally threw out the two good pieces, and I was completely overwhelmed. Construction can be so stressful, and I felt like I was at my rope’s end. Ann was patient, kind, and made sure I got all the replacement parts I needed. Her support truly made a frustrating situation so much easier. I’m so grateful for her help and excellent customer service!

Terrible support experience
Received an update from 1stoplighting but it is unclear if they even reviewed the chat history from Monday. The fixture I need is not on backorder, only replacement glass is. I submitted a second ticket the day after my first when I was able to look at both fixtures in the day light. The chat agent informed me that secondary tickets are never reviewed, only deleted. I kept having to repeat myself with the agent, asking them to compare the finishes and how similar they were in the original listing, only to be questioned and told I would NOT be provided a replacement fixture, only glass. The agent did open a new ticket for me that promised a response in 2-3 days and I still have not heard an update. I appreciate the acknowledgement of my review, but I am still very disappointed.

Needed some answers about the status of my order and Gerard provided them in a timely way and with a friendly and helpful manner. Gerard provided this customer with service with a capital S. Jhonjon made up for what others couldn't do while chatting. He truly listened and cared about my issue with my order. He also went out of his way to make a great connection as a friend. He is very delightful and pleasant to work with over the phone. He changed my thoughts about continuing to purchase from this company in a positive way. One thing that would make purchasing online better, is to have quantity availability shown when ordering so to avoid placing an order and come to find out its out of stock. Jhonjon found a similiar item and sold it at the same price as l first agreed upon by adjusting the difference. Great job Jhonjon!

We ordered a chandelier on Tuesday afternoon and received it 2 days later at lunch time. And, shipping was free! I will definitely consider using 1Stop again.
When things go wrong how do they react?
Orderd a bunch of lighting for a new home my wife and I are building out of state. Everything arrived find except one of the fans difusers was busted. Mind you we had everything in boxes wating for the builder to get to the point of installing the items so several months had passed prior to us discovering the broke item. I spoke with Gerard and he handled it right away. I always say you can't judge a company on how good they are when everything goes well. You can on how they respond when something goes wrong. They did a great job. Highly recommend working with this company.

Lousy disreputable company
Lousy disreputable company. False advertising about free returns. No way to get a live person on the phone. They charge a 10% return fee and when I asked about that (in my case, nearly $50) they ended the chat and blocked me from chatting
