BUYERS BEWARE

BUYERS BEWARE. I purchased a Kings Escape 20 Fridge freezer and accessories as a surprise Christmas present for my husband. He was delighted with it, but decided he might to exchange it for a larger model. At first, the staff were reluctant because they said we hadn’t returned within 30 days (purchased 27.11.25, returned 27.12.25). As their computer had accepted the return, we fetched the item from the car. Husband had opened the tape on the box to look at his present. It was at this point they flatly refused to exchange the item, as it was against their ‘policy’ to accept opened boxes, as they ‘can’t resell’?! They advised that perhaps we could sell it on Facebook Marketplace!
DO NOT OPEN THE BOX IF YOU WANT TO EXCHANGE FOR A LARGER ITEM, OR RETURN - and if there’s a fault with it, be prepared to wave your money ‘bye-bye’.
THIS COMPANY IS SERIOUSLY DODGY, and evidently not interested in customer satisfaction.

Customer service non existent

Customer service non existent. Purchased and paid for a Kings fridge click and collect Greenacre. Drove 40 mins to pick up today only to be told they don’t have any in stock and it sold out 2 months ago sorry. When asked for another store they showed me that only qld stores had stock and said policy was he couldn’t give me refund and I needed to call customer centre. I called and they didn’t seem to care at all. He wasn’t interested in helping me get one of the fridges from another store when I mentioned it “ that’s there stock”. Complete waste of time and crap service.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Website hard to use kept crashing. Got charged for things I didn’t order. Tried to cancel online order on the same day. Told by representative that it was bad luck for me.

DONT BUY ON THEIR ADVICE - IF WRONG WONT REFUND

Its unfortunate the company will go down every avenue to not provide a refund and fail to follow own policy.
ACCC advised under section 55 of the consumer rights we are entitled to a refund and the company continue to twist and manipulate whats was said or what happened to not provide a refund.
ACCC adivsed it fits section 55 of consumer rights, your policy stated it doesnt override the ACCC consuer rights, yet still reffusing to provide a refund.

numerous calls at different times, however not one manager is on site at these time, and advised the team there are not authorised to give refunds only managers can approve this.

Terrible quality of product

Terrible quality of product. Within days the screws were all falling out and definitely not built the withstand simple dirt road driving. Cheap price, cheap quality and terrible outcome. I will not go back ever.

Rip offs

only giving customers 90% refund amounts to ripping them off.....couldn't care less about your restocking fees, just another way of skirting around consumer refund laws....now you have another ex-customer.

Crap customer service

Good shop for affordable 4wd and camping stuff. The only issue with this company is the way they deal with warranty and after-sale customer service. Especially with electric stuff: I bought a 40Ah DCDC charger, it worked for a month then stopped working. I took it to the customer service section, they took it from me then after a week time they sent me an email requiring videos of the faults (even though they said they would test it). I sent two videos (lucky I recorded them). Came back to me in two weeks time asking what was wrong with it. I had already bought another one as I had a camping trip the next weekend. So I do recommend Kings products but always consider two electronic ones.
