I've done quite a few courses here. Really knowledgeable teachers. I've done the 2391 refresher course recently which was very informative and helpful. Thanks Steve O, exceptional delivery!

Outstanding construction training academy!
Great selection of courses, great flexibility and individual training plans.
The facilities and instructors are outstanding. I only wish I had found this academy years ago, but cannot wait to return for more courses. Very, very highly recommended. A++

I attended Able Skills 6-week Level 2 City & Guilds Plumbing course. It was very well run, both for the classroom and workshop classes. Workshop classes benefit from large amount of bays dedicated to installation of various pipework and appliances. Participants are provided with all tools and materials necessary to complete the course. The instructors are knowledgeable and professional, but also personable. From what I gather, Able Skills is the best provider of this course in the UK and I would highly recommend them.

I learnt a lot on the 2396. Steve was a very good tutor and incredibly knowledgable in the subject we were studying. I feel like he got us all in a good place ahead of the exam and continues to help in the run up to it.

I recently completed my electrical training at this centre and had a great experience throughout. The course was well organised, the facilities were excellent, and the practical training was very relevant to real-world electrical work.
A special mention goes to George, who was a brilliant trainer. He was knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to take the time to explain things clearly. His support and encouragement helped build my confidence and understanding of the subject.
I would highly recommend this training centre to anyone looking to start or progress their career in the electrical industry. Thank you to George and the whole team for their support.

Keith was an amazing teacher. I was worried going into the level 2 electrical installation home study course having no prior experience and not knowing what to expect. But his delivery and enthusiasm of all the content allowed me to pass all the theory and practical aspects of the course first time. He was very approachable and answered all my questions big or small. I wish I could have him teach me the level 3 too!

I have just completed my Level 3 Electrical Home Study with Able Skills. They provided all the study information required in a pack which can be learnt at your own pace, you then book in for the week in class learning where you complete the exams. I had Steve for all 3 of my in class weeks and he is absolutely brilliant, so much knowledge and explains it all in a way that helps you remember what you need to know. I managed to complete everything in 4 months but reckon it could be done quicker if you can get booked onto the in class weeks one month after the other. I’d recommend booking week 3 straight after week 2 so that the practical side of things are still fresh in your head. I am now looking forward to completing my NVQ now with Able Skills.
With my limited experience in plastering coming from some tap and fill at home and not feeling particularly strong, I was a little anxious about the hard work ahead of us last week. My sister and I went to Able Skills as she’d already done a plumbing course there. As I live in a crumbling farmhouse, knowing how to improve our walls, felt like a valuable skill. OMG! We had an amazing time! Neil and Joe were excellent teachers, guiding us patiently with words and actions, with humour and lots of information. Not once did I feel that being a woman or left handed, was an issue. All the days were well thought out and organised well within a structured time frame. We started on time, didn’t run over and weren’t rushed or discouraged from asking questions. I appreciated having my skills pushed at points. Other students in the same area doing longer courses were also friendly and helpful, giving advice. People were respectful, friendly and helpful. It has filled me with so much confidence for handling jobs in my house and a greater understanding of what to look for when carrying out work at home. Neil and Joe are both fantastically knowledgeable, personable and patient with their students. I really had the most brilliant week. Thank you so much!
solid expertise from bothe instructors, Tony from the Plumbing course was hands on and Jason from the Tiling course really helped me understand and develop my method. I continue to be impressed by the level of knowledge and value i'm getting from these courses. thank you.
Just finished my 2391-52 course and passed! Very well run and was lucky enough to have Steve as my tutor/assessor for both my theory and practical assessments. Would recommend using able skills to do any training you require.
Keith was a great teacher and incredibly patient throughout the Level 2 course. He never minded going over things again and always made sure everyone understood before moving on. His support and knowledge and positive attitude made a massive difference. Thank you very much Keith.
Great instructors and teachers, enjoyed the experience and five stars.
Steve Peters is an amazing instructor! I highly recommend Able Skills.
