Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

Wonderful staff. I was helped by Jackie today. Very helpful and made me feel welcome when I felt a bit out of place. Went in for a repair to a Rollator. She was great! I would definitely recommend this place to any one

I went into the Store this morning with the foot of my mother's wheelchair missing a screw which held the strap in place on the pedal.
It had been annoying her no end and my sister and I kept telling her we would get it fixed. Finally today, I went into the shop and was served by both Mark and Dean who were really helpful. A screw was found and the pedal was repaired in about 5 minutes!
Thank you so much for your help which has made me No 1 daughter - at least for one day!

I have severe arthritis in both hips and am overweight; hence, I am a wheelchair user. I have been a customer of Ableworld Southampton for nearly 10 years and they have always given excellent service. My two large purchases from them have been a manual wheelchair, which is their own brand and a Vision Rascal Mobility Scooter. Both of these are excellent pieces of engineering (I am a retired engineer) and suit my needs very well. Both these major purchases were matched to my needs by honest and well-trained salesmanship.
Recently, I have had two reasons to call unexpectedly on the services of Ableworld Southampton. The first instance was when unbeknownst to me, my scooter had failed to charge overnight. I consequently got stranded with little power about 2 miles from my home. Instead of calling my insurer's recovery service, I phoned Ableworld Southampton to see if they could help. They did most effectively! James, one of their Engineers, came to my rescue. He turned up in the van within the hour and waited until my wife got there to collect me before taking the mobility scooter back to their workshop for repair. The second time was very minor but dealt with equally professionally. I had found a screw that had obviously dropped from the underside of the mobility scooter's seat. Neither I nor my wife are able to lift the seat due to health issues. However, James again came to my rescue by calling in at my home, lifting the seat and replacing the screw. He went the extra mile by securing it with Loctite and replacing another adjusting screw that I had not noticed had gone missing.
I could not recommend the services of Ableworld Southampton more highly!

My wife and I were taking a cruise from Southampton. When we arrived at the port my wife's scooter stopped working. She had to leave the scooter at the port and with the help of staff we obtained a wheelchair and got her onto the ship. While we were away I managed to contact Ableworld, Southampton and spoke to Dean. He was very helpful and agreed to collect the scooter from the port, fix it and return it to the port for our return. We collected the scooter on our return and arrived home safefully. A very big thank you for Ableworld and Dean in particular for excellent customer service.

My wife bought a mobile scooter from the Southampton shop. Dean talked her through the different scooters and she tried three before choosing buying the Jolly scooter. Dean was very patient and professional. Thank you.

I needed a new walker that was light and easy to put in my car. Dean was very helpful showing me a wide range of suitable walkers. He explained how each one worked and even contacted other dealers to see if they had more suitable walkers. The service was friendly and excellent.

All of the staff at Ableworld are excellent. They are very knowledgeable, patient and kind. They have advised on wheelchair and recliner chair purchase and both have been the right choice. If there is a problem or query the staff do all they can to help sort it. I would highly recommend Ableworld.

I had bought a mobility scooter some years ago for my mother.
Recently the bolt that holds the right hand handle in a firm upright position had got lost. I went into the shop to see if I could buy a replacement. They took the scooter round the back, found a spare bolt which they fitted and charged me nothing. That is what I call good service!

Having researched the Marketplace and received conflicting advice / quotes from several U.K Suppliers for the installation of a Straight Stairlift for my Wife. We chose the well acclaimed local ABLEWORLD and entrusted our needs to them.
Jeff and Steve dealt with ALL aspects of the feasibility study, subsequent realistic quote and the eventual installation to our complete satisfaction. We cannot speak highly enough of the skills / work ethic, and sense of humour displayed by Engineer Steve Bloodworth when tackling the unforeseen 'on -site' difficulties of an unusually protracted installation.
If this is the typical 'trade mark' of ABLEWORLD, service we know we have chosen wisely and would highly recommend to anyone in need of such expertise. A'GOLD STAR' for ALL!

Jeff and his young lady assistant were most helpful in helping us choose a walker for my wife, and adding accessories to enable her to be able to store her walking stick. They could not have done any more to ensure our complete satisfaction. All in all, it was a most pleasurable shopping experience.

Always really helpful to me. Not my mobility dealer. Really gone above and beyond yesterday. My charger has packed up yesterday and my dealership is now based in Bournemouth. They have kindly let me borrow a charger to see me over the Easter weekend. Always recommend them to anyone who doesn’t require a specialist wheelchair / seating system.. Thank you again

We visited the Woolston branch at the weekend as we required a spare part for husbands rollator. We were served by Meg who put herself out to assist us (with the help of the shop CAT). Very pleasant and helpful. Will be back. Thank you

The service was excellent. The young man who came to my home with wheelchairs for me to try, was kind
and clear giving all information I needed. To be able to
view before buying was very helpful and when my choice was made I was able to keep the chair I wanted
and make purchase over the phone. I have used this company before and have always been impressed with
their standards.
