What can I say about Abney Funeral Services? Nothing but great things (and I don’t believe I have the words to fill this page with the accolades for Abney). A more professional group, I’ve not met.
Words can't express my THANKS to Abi, Daniel and their entire staff for their professionalism, friendliness and care shown mom, while she was with them.

On the day of burial, my sisters and I were blown away by the precision and professionalism of the staff. Special care was taken in every aspect of the funeral (paying respect to mom by bowing to her), including the flower arrangements.

Drivers (Eric, Tony and David) and Daniel went above and beyond the call of duty – Upon their arrival at our house for pickup, they introduced themselves and informed us of the way the procession would take. They opened doors for us, drove well and kept us encouraged.

A truly professional funeral business. Daniel and his team treated my father with such care and respect. They responded quickly to any queries and helped us through a very difficult time. Due to the pandemic, we were only able to have a graveside service, but the arrangement of this was great. They provided chairs and green carpeting to lay across the ground for the service. They even had umbrellas in case it rained. The tribute books were of a high quality. Those who watched my fathers funeral via Zoom said that it was the best they had seen yet. This was thanks to Abney Funeral Services doing such a superb job. I would recommend them over and over again.

In these trying times, despite COVID limitations, Abney conducted a funeral with a very personal touch and an exceptionally professional service for my friends dad today. They made the proceedings feel really special and memorable.

I can’t thank Daniel and the entire Abney team enough for helping to give my auntie the most beautiful send off despite the current restrictions.

Everything was done exceptionally well and we were overly satisfied with the level of care and professionalism shown. Throughout the entire process Daniel was readily accessible, patiently talked us through every detail and was always happy to answer our endless questions to ensure that all relevant factors were covered, so we could make the best informed decisions. I cannot emphasize enough how fulfilled we are having opted for Abney Funeral Services; they by far exceeded our highest expectations and took a real weight off our shoulders by taking such great care of us and our dearly departed.

We used Abney Funeral Service to lay my father to rest, Feb 2020. I really could not speak highly enough of the services Abney offered. My father was laid to rest in the most dignified way possible thanks to them. Abney took charge and liaised with all parties offering valuable advice, supported, and knowledge, they removed all burden and stress whilst respecting boundaries.

A truly professional service.

Following the death of my father, my sister-in-law laid her grandmother to rest, coincidentally she also used Abney. When speaking with her she echoed my thoughts and feelings.

To say they went above and beyond is a complete understatement! From the regular updates to the great attention to detail we can't begin to thank them enough. We witnessed a tremendous amount of care, dignity and pride used in treating our Mother which brings great warmth to our hearts. It goes without saying that their precision and compassion made a situation that is extremely difficult a lot better to handle, and we couldn't imagine having it any other way as they did everything to accommodate our needs. Once again thank you from the bottom of our hearts, your work is truly appreciated.

Abney Funeral Services were nothing short of amazing in helping to give my grandad get the send off he truly deserved. When planning the funeral, I spoke often with Abi. She ensured that all bases were covered, everything was running smoothly and that I had nothing to worry about. She was also able to fulfil any requests I had, and helped to ensure that my grandad's send off was the best it could have been, despite all the social distancing/COVID-19 restrictions.

Daniel and his team were amazing with my family on the day. They were extremely polite and courteous, and really helped to prioritise the care of my family. They were patient with us, and for that, we are extremely grateful.

Abney went over and beyond my expectations, and on reflection, I couldn't have made a better choice of funeral director to go with. I recommend their services with absolutely no reservations, as they truly care about making your loved one's send off the best it can be. Despite the restrictions regarding COVID-19, they were still able to provide an incredible service. Thank you again Abney!

Abney Funeral Service is very hands on Daniel runs a very caring and compassionate business professionals at the heart of our loss if it was not for his experience we would be out of depth under the unusual circumstances we found ourselves in from me and my family Thank you Abney for excellent Professional arrangement on the passing of our dear mum.

Under these trying and difficult circumstances the Abney Funeral team were very respectful and professional & very hands on right down to planting flowers in the dirt for our beloved Grandmother.

Following the death of my mother, Abney took over the funeral arrangement's from another Company, in hindsight, easily one of the best decisions i've ever made. Warm, respectful, beyond helpful first Abi and then Daniel - thank you from my entire family for making a painful experience (constant changes due to Covid 19, didn't help matters!) bearable.

There are not enough words to describe just how fantastic the advise, support and service provided by Abney Funeral services was. There are equally not enough words to thank them for everything they did. From calling them to ask them to collect Granny’s body, to preparing the order of service, to the day of Granny’s funeral, the service received was impeccable.

Daniel and Abi are a remarkable team who clearly love what they do. They went above and beyond to support my sister with all the preparations and I will be eternally grateful for their acts of kindness towards her.

They were professional, patient, caring, compassionate, personable, dignified and incredibly supportive. They know their job inside out and did everything possible to make sure we were informed, as happy as could be in the circumstances, and that we understood everything that was going to happen. The care and attention to detail they provided to both us and Granny was amazing and was a real source of comfort. What they do is not just a job to them. They actually care.

I cannot thank Daniel, Abi and their staff enough for the service they provided to us from start to finish. I have used other funeral directors when we have lost loved ones in the past but I am so thankful that my sister found Abney for Granny, as they do not compare. They are really a cut above the rest.

We recently hired Abney Funeral services for the funeral of our mother, so it was imperative that we felt confident with the services. From the offset they was professional, dignified and compassionate. The Director Daniel was amazing and communicative to the whole family and went above and beyond to ensure mum was comfortable. They picked her up the very next day from hospital and she was looked after fabulously. The staff on the day wore smart, elegant uniform and looked so professional and dashing. Everything about them was dignified and professional and I cannot thank Tony, Fitzroy and Tony the drivers enough, they were helpful and supportive all day. Even organising the flowers on the grave. I run events and would highly recommend them in the future for clients. Very pleased and impressed with Abney. Thank you all for making the sad occasion a memorable one. God bless.

The booklet was really well done, even with us bombarding you with last minute changes! Daniel & team are very professional at what they do. They add so much heart to their work. I lost my uncle Jacob Vanderpuye in East Tilbury and had to handle everything from Ghana. They made a very difficult occasion quite easy to deal with and they took great care of his body and preparation for the cremation was very thorough. The ceremony was solemn, simple and accorded him a lot of respect and dignity, with a great touch of class. They were also very sensitive to our culture and religion. They take great care and pay attention to deal. Everything is taken care of and explained to you. They know their trade and helped with the process of repatriating his ashes back to Ghana to bury. Amazing compassionate work by ABI and Daniel on the professional care they gave my late beautiful mother Sonia who passed away suddenly.
We the family were and still are very much in shock. Our Mother was the only member of family we ever had, she was the most beautiful mother her whole life was for her 5 children and grandchildren.
I cannot thank them enough they organised everything & made my mother look absolutely beautiful even down to her dress, Daniel had taken to be altered for her, absolute perfection.

Abney Funeral Services.... Fantastic, Professional and Amazing service....

Thank you so much Daniel, Abi and the entire team for your great work. From the very first day we met Daniel, his compassionate, caring and understanding nature took some of the pain and confusion in which we were, away. He took his time to go through everything with us, guiding us and making sure we get what we actually want.

His words of advise and counselling was just great. He took great care of my late brother's body in his funeral home, and allowed us to visit his "chapel of rest" as many times as we wanted.

When the day of the funeral came, his excellent arrangements and timing enabled everything from the house, to the church service and to burial to be so smooth. His professionalism at what he does is mind blowing. He made sure my brother was sent off in style.

Daniel, is just an amazing human being. He provided for us things that were not even part of the package at no extra cost . He made sure we were all okay and constantly asked to be sure.

Well what can I say to do with Abney Funeral Services, (this may sound a bit out of place) knowing what I know now than when it was my mother's time, that she could of had that same sort of service that was provided for my father, the involvement that was provided by the staff at Abney Funeral Services it's beyond words, they have good customer care with both clients (deceased and living), my comment to you is, that what you do your actions speaks for itself as in you strive for excellence at all times.

This team made one of the most painful days of my life painless. My siblings and I used this service for my father’s funeral two years ago and were so impressed we used them again for my mother’s funeral last month, thinking we had chosen a perfect service and nothing could be improved. We were wrong! The attention to detail and the service was even better than before. Well done and thank you.
