Wont ever using them again. They overcharge.
I payed early to make sure i wont pay over double the price of the stuff i got. Other leasing companies are more budget friendly and even if you pay early they wont overcharge to use their services. This was my 3rd and last time using this lease company.

This company is worse than any collection I have ever hear of. I was getting phone calls the day my payment was due starting at 8am telling me my payment was past due. That's very unethical business practice. Even the app showed past due the day of and try to charge a late fee when paying the day payment was due.

Acima is awesome. The fact that I was able to get car repairs when I applied made me feel happy. I was gratified that my application was approved, because I had no money at the time. So I am grateful.

Charged late fees even when it didn't say a payment was due, required you to pay more than what was even due as well. Will never use again!

My Experience:I am writing to document a series of highly concerning issues with my recent lease through Acima, initiated at an Ashley Furniture location. I have attempted to resolve this through Acima's official channels, but they continue to ignore the core fact that I did not sign this contract.Unauthorized Signature &
Forgery: This is the most critical issue. The Acima representative at Ashley Furniture, Annie, signed the legal lease agreement on my behalf without my consent, authorization, or even showing me the final document. I was never given the opportunity to review the terms I was being legally bound to.Misleading Instructions: Annie explicitly instructed us to stop making payments while she "figured it out." She assured us that nothing would happen to our account or credit because she was in charge and would handle everything personally. This turned out to be false and left us in a much worse position.
Bait-and-Switch Tactics: Before Annie signed the document without my permission, I was explicitly quoted payment amounts that were significantly lower than what was actually drafted from my account.Bad Faith Negotiations: Acima refused to honor a prior $1,800 payoff agreement reached with one of their reps. I ultimately accepted a different settlement offer solely because I felt I was going to be screwed further if I didn't; this company is simply not to be trusted.
Accounting Errors: Adding to the chaos, $905.40 in unauthorized payments were drafted from my account. According to Annie, these were never supposed to happen, yet they were taken anyway.
TL/DR:
This has been a nightmare of predatory behavior, fraudulent signatures, and gross incompetence. I am requesting that a manager or compliance officer immediately investigate the store's IP logs and account notes to see exactly how Annie executed that signature. I expect Acima to honor a final corrected payoff amount of $668.60 to resolve this matter permanently.

This company is a complete nightmare. The customer service is rude, unhelpful, and honestly feels like they don’t care once they’ve got your money. Then they turn around and hit you with extra charges—INCLUDING TAXES ON TOP OF TAXES I ALREADY PAID. That’s not just frustrating, that’s unacceptable.
Nothing about this process feels transparent. It’s misleading, overpriced, and set up in a way where you end up paying way more than you ever agreed to.
I regret ever dealing with them. Learn from me—DO NOT lease with Acima or companies like them. It’s not worth the stress, the confusion, or the money you’ll lose.

This was mt first time using a leasing payment for furniture. I was disappointed that is was initially presented as 3-month interest free financing. I was not told about the $80 upcharge fee prior to offering the contract, which was sent electronically via your cell phone. I was not able to read all the details of the contract which is not ideal to read on your cell phone. I would not have even considered signing the contract if I was told UPFRONT about the $80 upcharge by furniture salesperson. I was told by the furniture store manager that Acima does not inform them of the extra fees.

I purchased my furniture from rooms to go. Unfortunately for me, I was not aware or told about the 100 day policy where my original purchase amount would triple if not paid in 100 days. The furniture I purchased is not worth the money I paid for it. Lesson learned, if I can’t afford it at moment…save up to buy it out right. This should not be legal.

Amica process was great. It took a little while for my leaase to hit the app but after that it was smooth saling. Easy to make payments. When you make a payment though it's more of a charge but the experience was good and I paid my lease off in 90 days.

I'm trying to pay off my purchase my buy out is 691. In change after fees an taxes it will be 747.11. Now come the 24th of month I will be charged my monthly fee of343. I owe cause I was not able to buy out in 90 days asked for extension for a month an they said no one week an cost 100 to do so. So now I'm trying to pay it off an because my daughter don't live with me I can't use her credit card. If this holds me up I will be stuck paying double the amount of my purchase now I still owe 1,300. I want to be done an there is no resolution an a money transfer is off the table as the capital one wants a pay back in 10 days an it costs 50 plus fees. I'm just stuck with these people who at every turn just like ant your money this has to be a ponzy scam.
