Tried them for a LONG LONG LONG time…

Tried them for a LONG LONG LONG time without any real results.

We kept watching our CPA go up and up and up any time we increased our budget the CPA would just keep increasing.

We hired an adwords manager that convinced us that CPI (cost per impression) via adwords would be much better. We kept both running even though Adroll Adwords anyways.

What we found was our CPI was lower AND our CPA was much lower using the exact same banner ads.

I contacted Adroll and mentioned that it seemed like we were just throwing them free money and their support were more than happy to see us on our merry way. After YEARS of being with them they mentioned that we could optimise our account better, I asked why I was never told in the early days that I wasn't getting the most out of Adroll, they basically said it's my problem, not theirs.

At least Google is constantly trying to help you with your campaigns for free.

I don't recommend Adroll for any business at all. It's just a waste of money and it's a shame it took me years to find out..

very efficient at taking your money, very bad at supplying the service you pay for.

The system is fairly easy but if you need their help on anything that's not vanilla you're in for a tough time. I contacted them and the answers back were useless - just designed to push the problem forward until the next day's support team check-in. I was in a loop for over 8 days until I raised a complaint. No one got back to me. I raised an official complaint two days ago and I have still had no response.

In short, they're very efficient at taking your money, very bad at supplying the service you pay for.

System is easy to use but results are paltry

I think adroll's interface is very easy to use. They integrate well with shopify to create remarketing ads that are hyper-relevant to your audience.

My only problem, as a small business with a resticted budget, is how random the results seem. Compared to retargeting on other platforms (where bounce rate is near 0%) AdRoll seems to send cold traffic to my site (100% bounce rate from adroll sources). True retargeting shouldn't garner so little enagement. It's very costly. And so unfortunately we've stopped using them. And instead have opted for direct retargeting ads with Google and Facebook.

One GIANT Headache

User interface is complicated and hard to figure out what you need to do. Their support leaves much to be desired (if you can understand them) and actually never seems to solve anything. A giant headache to set up your accounts and campaigns and apparently YOU need to intuitively know where to look to set things up. They don't tell you or indicate anything. You're just supposed to KNOW. Or figure out slowly the hard way. E.g. you have to set up specific destination urls for EACH ad that you upload. Even if they're in the same campaign, and the campaign's destination url is set to X. You have to individually change ALL their destination URLs to be that one. Otherwise they default to your homepage.

It's been one giant headache from the start and I sincerely dislike working with them. Going to try to find something different.

I am a fan of what Adroll are trying to…

I am a fan of what Adroll are trying to achieve and they do have a large advertising network, but there support really lets them down and the fact that they charge upfront is simply off putting.

Launched a daily campaign for £30 - got charge £1,600+ - where is the sense in that, they need to go back to their old charging policy.

Whilst I have been a customer for over 2 years, without change this will be ending soon.

I viewed Adroll's stats on my two …

I viewed Adroll's stats on my two stores' advertising as HIGHLY SUSPECT, so I ran a test. I opened a brand new store with June 2017 online revenue of a mere $530, Adroll lied with a June report of $11,845 of Attributed Revenue from the $280 ad expense!!! BWAHAHAHAA adroll is a farce.

AVOID Adroll.

Bad Company / Fraud Clicks and Traffic

As others state. Fake/false traffic and expensive! We have used the company 2 twice. 1st time we though, ok maybe we have set this up wrong! So we paused the account after spending 2k and had a good look at the setting. Nothing seem out of place, so we gave them a call and had an online call conference. Ok we though, lets give this another go!! Wish we didn't bother ! Another 1k down the drain!! The company is horrible, fake traffic, fake clicks.

DON'T DEAL WITH THEY WILL JUST STEAL YOUR MONEY & SEND YOU THE WORST TRAFFIC!!

Terrible - Worst Traffic & Lying Data

We have tried this company now 3 times as this is now the last time ever! They always lie about traffic and clicks. They are using click bots. they will argue that the traffic in GA is different to theirs.... well yer.... we decided to track via "hits" from them rather than any other metric as this would really be more than their "clicks" to our site! Nope! still 100's out and we only tested them for a few days! still over £300 it cost us for their totally rubbish traffic (30% new visitors) Stay away - They will eat your budget not want to refund any money in your account and just be total d*cks!

Terrible Service, Waste of Time, Made-Up Conversion Stats

AdRoll's customer service is bad. They have a guy name Rasheed who is on Chat Support who hardly understand English. 25 Minutes into chat asking a simple question, and the person cannot answer a very simple question. AdRoll has a horrible customer service. The whole service is outsourced and more importantly is not properly trained. I'm afraid most of them have bad manners and demonstrate a lack of professionalism when dealing with customers. AdRoll is quick to charge your credit card, but when you need customer service, they do not have it in place.

Now, when it comes to AdRoll as a re-targeting platform, we have been running ads for over a year now, and it is now proven that the results and conversion the platform is reporting on is fake-boosted, conversions are being way over-reported. When you bring this up with their Support Team (if you pass the basic knowledge barrier on their end), they will "escalate" this to their Tech team, and their tech team will never respond. ADRoll boosts its click-through as well, it never aligns with any of your other analytics data.

If you try to talk to someone about the over-reported performance of your campaign, NO ONE will help you or even answer your question, because you are not spending an X amount with them a month, plus they keep the stats elusive on purpose, and Ad Spenders have no idea how their system works.

AdRoll is so highly disappointing. No one should be spending any ad spent with AdRoll. They simply dont care. Google Outsources their branches to India and Philippines too but they provide a good quality service. AdRoll does not.

Save your money, and spend your re-targeting budget with Google. At least Team Google will always provide a good and stable quality service and will support your anyway they can.

At the time of my last attempt to figure out why the updates we made to our AdGroup but nothing was saved, the person on the AdRoll customer service side (Oliver Lizardo, Philippines) started robotically repeating "I will have to escalate this to our Tech Team". Every questions I asked, simple or hard, he started repeating himself that he has to escalate. Their own support team dos not even know how to utilize AdRoll. Shame on you, AdRoll!

You also can almost NEVER get a hold of American Team, all calls are answered by incompetent reps in foreign countries. You lost the trust of your customers completely, AdRoll. I would never recommend AdRoll to anyone. There are other re-targeting platforms available to advertisers, with much better tech support and much easier to use platform.

Careless staff, negligent, wasted our money and time.

We are a medium sized apparel retail business with a significant presence online. We've decided to give AdRoll a chance after using another remarketing provider for several years.

We were very clear on what the goals should be and the expected ROI (we asked for an 8:1 return). Our AdRoll account reps said they understand our goals although they cannot guarantee a certain ROI. They said a more realistic ROI would be 3:1 or 4:1. We listened and accepted. Our AdRoll rep said "We are here to ensure we get the highest ROI" and also "I'm very confident that we will more than break-even with your campaigns".

We expressed our concern regarding the monitoring of our campaign and got the promise "you will two sets of eyes on your campaigns and account".

We expressed our concern about the use of view-throughs as an attribution method. Our rep said they will not use that if we don't like it.

After the initial phone call, we signed an insertion order and shortly after launched the remarketing campaign.

1 month later I log in to the dashboard to find that AdRoll did not care for anything I said about view-through conversions. We found that we had 342 total conversions of which 298 were view-throughs. I quickly paused the campaign and emailed our rep to find out where in the line of communication I was misunderstood and why. Needless to say, with the above figures we were at a significant loss, as each conversion that's not considered "view-through" cost us $150.

Our rep (actually 2 of them) listened to what I had to say, and promised to adjust the campaign so that we get a positive ROI instead of just a bunch of people who don't buy anything. I explained again that if we they lose our money then I really don't need a service for that. I know how to lose money on my own.

We resumed the campaign several days later, this time with no view-throughs. After 2 weeks I look at the data and I'm shocked. The campaign is performing poorly and no one seemed to care about it. Since the campaign was adjusted and resumed till the day I had to pause it, we were billed $2,594.03 and received $1,986.38 in revenue. This is not positive ROI by any mean and I'm not factoring in the cost of the goods and so many other expenses. In other words, AdRoll continue to waste or company's money causing us a loss of -$1,700 in a period of 2 weeks.

I was very unhappy about what I was seeing and decided to confront them. I scheduled a call with our reps' supervisor. Instead of stand by me and understanding where I was coming from, the supervisor had the nerve to accuse me of not monitoring the campaign on my own. He said I could have logged in at any time and turned it off if I was unhappy. I'm asking you, the reader of this review, do you think this is a fair practice? Where is the "two sets of eyes on your campaigns and account" that I was promised? Am I to pay AdRoll just to have to do their job? And where is the 3:1 or even 2:1 ROI that AdRoll is confident in getting me?

If you're debating whether or not to sign up with AdRoll, I'll leave it up to you to decide. This was my experience with them and it was quite horrific. I don't know if you will receive the same treatment that I did, or a different one. In any case, and based on my own experience I will recommend that you stay away from AdRoll and look for another provider, one who cares about its client.
