Advantis sent us a first letter only a week ago regarding an £80 DVLA fine, and since the day we received that letter they have not stopped calling me. I am receiving constant phone calls at different times of the day, along with repeated texts and messages.
When a company sends a letter requesting payment, they should also allow people a reasonable amount of time to respond and make that payment before beginning what feels like harassment. It has only been a week. This was not a planned expense, and like many people, we need to wait until the end of the month when we get paid to settle it which we fully intend to do.
Instead, we are being treated as though we owe large amounts of overdue debt and are refusing to pay, when in reality we simply need a short, reasonable timeframe to make the payment. The volume and persistence of calls and messages is excessive and completely unnecessary for such a small amount and such a short period of time.
To make matters worse, we have just lost my father last week. During an already extremely difficult time, having to deal with daily calls and messages from Advantis has added unnecessary stress and distress. Their approach shows no empathy or understanding for people’s circumstances.
This kind of aggressive contact so soon after a first letter is unacceptable and feels like harassment rather than professional debt collection. I hope they reconsider how they treat people and allow reasonable time for payment before bombarding them with calls and messages.

I talked to Chloe, who was timely and responsive, and had a good idea of the necessary support that was required
Oliver was incredibly helpful, very polite, professional and prompt.
He was able to facilitate everything I needed to achieve and in a way that was easy and stress free.
Very grateful of such lovely support, it goes a long way with me as I have crippling anxiety and usually end up in tears with this kind of thing, but it was honestly a breeze.
Thank you so much to Oliver, excellent customer service skills.

Thankyou
Absolutely terrible! Ive spent an hour trying to reinstate a payment plan. Everyone on the phone speaks so quickly i cant understand them so i went online to the chat. Someone called Haarisah was the most unhelpful person. He did not read my messages, was patronising, spoke in circles and did not help me. I ended up begging just for him to do his job and he made the situation so much worse and caused a massive amount of stress for something that should be simple. Avoid at all cost. They also have no complaints department and would not let me make a complaint. Terrible unethical company
