Would give no stars if possible. I was conned into answering their questionnaire giving more detail of what I was looking for etc. thinking it was Match.com. I'm now finding it extremely difficult to delete my profile, haven't subscribed and don't intend to!
Update - to help others - I have finally managed to delete my profile using my laptop. The unsubscribe option doesn't show on mobile phone or tablet!

Useless bad money scamming - tricked into being set up by following a questionnaire link from our time site. Don’t use!!

No clear pics definitely not a user friendly site and they are not bothered about that.
Lots of other clearer user friendly sites to join avoid this one .

I joined Affiny, first mistake. Paid for a 3 month subscription, big mistake. There's no support for users and I spent a whole evening trying to get support.

My profile was put on private without my knowledge, meaning people had to request to see my picture. I was constantly being recommended people that I wasn't compatible with and I couldn't update anything except my pictures no one would see or my personal biography.

When I finally got a response they refused to refund me even though they failed to provide the service I paid for, all they did was cancel my subscription. I could have done that in half a minute!

If you like paying to get stressed over an incredible lack of service, Affiny's just the place for you, happy stressing!

match.com misleading people to signup to another website service. Thought it was a compatibility test that would be used to find matches on match.com.

No, it's just another way for them to make money. Not amused.

This was a totally bad experience. 90% of messages were from possible scammers trying to get me to email them directly. I reported the profiles and they were deleted but more just spring up. After 1 month of trying I did not get a response from anyone unlike another dating site where I had many good conversations with matches. Waste of time and money.

I subscribed for 3 months, spending a precious 70+ pounds.

I have messaged 150+ people, finding out that only 15 had opened the message. Now, it is free for the recipient to receive the first message, even if they do not have subscription, hence this is not an obstacle.

I then thought maybe they checked my profile first, and they were not interested in reading the message (although this would make little sense, as it is free). Yet, checking who had visited the profile, it was only the people who had read the message (i.e. the active users, subscribed or not). So, as for the rest, who knows what kind of profiles they are.

Something to be noted is how bad the user-friendliness of the site is..It is primitive...support is non-existent, I suspect is all artificial intelligence.

Dont be lured by the psychological profile created...it was interesting in the beginning, but then, it loses its uniqueness, once the commentary of areas of similarity/difference is customised to certain responses. I am not sure either if such matching is of any significance at the end of the day.

Like many others here I was on match.com and clicked the link to fill out a questionnaire. I was completely unaware that this would set up another account on another site. I feel that my trust has been totally violated. I have no idea what they’re doing with my personal data and can’t unsubscribe.

I’m about to cancel my match.com subscription as I feel totally used by them and unsafe on their site now.

I subscribed to match.com on 28th August 2020 and clicked on a link that simply says take our compatibility questionnaire. When you arrive on affiny, it asks a series of questions, then it ask for your email and then a password. This creates a profile for you without telling you that a separate dating profile is being set up with the details you have provided. It is made out as if the results would be emailed to you. Once a dating profile is set up for you on affiny, you are unable to delete the account. There is no option to delete it unless you log in on a computer. Also you are bombarded with matches but you can't see the picture unless you pay for a subscription. I already have a subscription on match so why are there 2 separate sites run by match creating an impression to be helping people match up and yet you can't use the same subscription on both accounts. Since subscribing on 28/08/2020. My dashboard shows not a single person online on match. My search criteria for men between 39 - 50 also shows nothing at all. I have emailed to ask why I am unable to see any matches and till date I have not received a response. I paid via apple so ofcourse I can not cancel the payment. Avoid match and affiny.

despite clearly cancelling ongoing monthly subscription they continued to take automatic payment under the the name of Match.com which i NEVER subscribed to!

Just like all these other reviewers I thought this was part of the Match offering. Now I can't delete my profile and my inbox is clogged with notifications- terrible

Been trying to leave this site for 16months only have a mobile found out you can't delete your acc from ,got my friend to go to my acc and unsubscribe and delete my acc hour over 12 months ago . Looking at my bank statement they took out another 147 pound ,have proof they were asked to unsubscribe my acc ,next step formal complaint .

Joined match.com. filled in questions'to enhance matching' and was without permission enrolled on affiny. Cannot view or message on affiny with a match.com subscription. Match.com charges lot to subscribe, why resort to this cheating?
Getting messages from affiny now can't answer without paying for a second subscription. Therefore DON'T answtler questions on match.com. don't join affiny.

Completely unable to delete my account or profile. Do not use this website. It claims to be part of Match and implies that you can double your chances if you fill in their questionnaire but doesn’t tell you that you have to pay two subscriptions! 😡

Would give it no stars if I could. No search facilities . So matches miles away. Even though it says you can refine
your search you cant.
Had to contact customer service to cancel my subscription as you cant do it on the site.
Even though Im a paid member the search facilities are either best match ( miles away) Oldest first? Youngest first?
Total waste of time.

I completed an unexpected personality test sent to me by Affiny.

Surprisingly, as a result they automatically set up a dating profile for me. This was a huge liberty to take. Their intention was not clear. They operated in a deceptive way.

To be honest I felt angry about their conduct and expect that others will too.

I believe this is a matter for Trading Standards.

I sent them an email with similar content to that in this review and asked them to delete any profile in my name. (This has only just been done, so do not have their response to share.)

Not worth a star, but can't write a review otherwise.
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO AFFINY, profiles are fake. You will never be able delete your account, or hide your profile unless you pay a subscription.
Profiles are inactive members who cannot delete their account!!
