I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Allianz. I only intended to ensure that my policy would not automatically renew because I already had a new insurer due to start on 9 July. Instead, my active policy was cancelled, leaving me without insurance and forcing me to purchase short-term cover at additional cost.
I was also charged a £40 cancellation fee. When I complained, Allianz confirmed that my policy's auto-renewal had been turned off from the start of the policy, yet they still refused to refund the fee. Their response did not explain why an action relating to auto-renewal resulted in the cancellation of my active policy or why I did not receive clear confirmation that no further action was required.
Overall, I found the online process confusing and the complaint outcome disappointing. I hope Allianz reviews its cancellation process to prevent other customers from experiencing the same problem.

No issue with the insurance, but refusal to speak on the phone when I had a renewal issue meant I ended up moving to a different insurer
No issue with the insurance, but never had to claim. Issue came with trying to renew and the refusal to speak on the phone, with a very slow chat system. In the time I the chat sluggishly progressed, I managed to get insurance with another provider over the phone. (actually at a cheaper rate, although would have probably paid a bit more than the Alliance quote just for the better service)

The experience was great but my credit cards were declined several times for no reason. Otherwise other aspects of the transaction went smoothly.

Who looks after the communications sector of making claims because I’m not sure they know what’s going on…
I’m trying to speak to the right people, they tell me they aren’t handling claims using the online service, I have to use the phone number they gave me.
I call the number, go through automated voice options, only to find out there’s no option for the reason of my claim and if I want make a fire claim, I need to use the online service. User experience is proving terrible, So what is it? Online or phone call?
