I had a couple of questions about claim free years from abroad insurers, there is not a definite answer yet, but Esther helped me very well and directed me to where I could get a definite answer in Allianz. I am very pleased with the response and knowledge of Esther.

I have tried to cancel my insurance multiple times from the account on their website and wasn't properly working.
I have found a form on website and I have filled in asking for the cancellation of the policy, I have received an email confirming that my form was received and someone will contact me. No-one contacted me.
I have tried to contact via chat: more that 5 times unable to go further after Elisa not passing me to speak with a human advisor.
I have called them and unable to cancel the insurance.
They have sent multiple emails of payment reminders which I have replied, but the email address is not monitored on their side.
I will never go with Allianz Nederland again.
Nothing is working on their side: no contact via chat, phone, emails.

Sharon from the claims department was very helpful with assisting & helping with processing my claim. The issues associated are with trying to gain availability with the approved repair centers, and the call waiting time. However the claims department are very understanding and friendly and they really do assist you in the best possible way

Even 1 star is too much for them. I have worst experience. I paid full casco for my Jaguar but there was no point at all in doing it. I got a fraction of my car's price after a car crash in which it wasn't even my fault. I never got a much promised replacement car, I didn't even get an email from them. They just sent me the money to my bank account. On the phone they say they can't help. REALLY??
I DO NOT recommend using allianz to anyone.

such a bad customer service. I have been trying to get my active insurances visible on my account for some time and it still doesn't show up. When I see house insurance then I cant see my car innsuarnce and when they ''fix it" it is other way around visible on the account but never both. Tired of chasing them.

We all know that insurance companies are about making money and about finding a loop not paying for any claim. But the level of service of this company is insane. They play clueless so they can get away. I have house insurance with them and I recently made a claim on 27/10 and they sent a clueless company called CED to investigate. Since the 5/11/2025 that company still didn’t submit the report. I spoke so many time with the customer Service of alliance and they don’t seem to care or even show the well to do anything the last contact was today 10/12 /2025 with Tim at 09:04. The employee doesn’t seems to be bothered about anything! He doesn’t realize that his pay check at the end of the month is payed by the customer.

Allianz Direct is horrible. I had an accident on December 2. I informed them via telephone, email, and I filled in all the forms. My car stayed in the towing company for 5 working days. On December 8, I called them to check if they have done anything and the call center employee didn't know where my car was, what they should do. They have no service for you. You are just paying them every month. I doubt if there is even a real office. I give them 1 star because this is the minimum score. Technically, that is too much for them.

The website isn't easy to use for international people. I'm never able to find what I'm searching for. It shouldn't be too difficult to add language options.
I was expecting to receive a discount after claim-free period, instead I received an increase in my premium. And I can't do anything with that as I can't use the website.

Asked for help with updating my emailadres. After 3 chats that were killed without solution, I now have NO login details instead of half.
I can waste my time with their chatbot for hours on end, but a simple email change is impossible..
Edit: just tried again for the 5th & 6th time, but my chat gets closed as soon as I'm past the ai bot - zero actual response

JOKE OF AN INSURANCE COMPANY. DO NOT USE. Tried in vein to provide them with my no-claims document after endless problems with online account/email correspondence. They are very difficult to contact. Very slow to react but only too quick to up your premiums and take unauthorised adhoc payments from your bank! Bullyish attitude and impersonal communications, totally lacking empathy for their customers. Took unauthorised premiums from my bank account. After they cancelled the policy, 2 months later I get an email to say "it wasn't actually cancelled - only suspended" and that I am now liable for those two months premium so they are sending debt collectors - for 50euro. Hands down the WORST customer experience of my life. Avoid at all costs.

No empathy, bad costumer service, I had a car crash 20 days ago, Allianz said it could take from 5 to 10 working days, it has passed long time ago and no update, no answer no support at all.

I had an all-risk car insurance with Allianz Netherlands for about 3 years and never made a single claim. When I moved abroad and had to cancel my insurance, I did not receive the claim-free years declaration automatically as you would reasonably expect. This document is essential in order to transfer my discount to a new insurer.
I urgently need it now, but Allianz has failed to provide it. Their customer service first told me I would receive it within 2 working days — nothing arrived. When I contacted them again, suddenly it “might take 7 working days or even more.” When I protested and pointed out that they should have sent it immediately upon cancellation, their answer was simply “no, nothing we can do.”
This is unacceptable service for something so simple, especially considering I never filed a claim. If Allianz fails this badly on an easy request, imagine what happens when you truly need help with a serious claim. Right now, I am forced to either pay full price for my new insurance or not drive until Allianz decides to send me this basic document — and they even refuse to give me a clear date.
I would never use Allianz again, and I strongly advise against subscribing with this company in the Netherlands. They are quick to take your money, but when it comes to support, you are completely on your own.

I had a terrible experience with Allianz Direct and strongly advise others to think twice before taking their home insurance. They market their policies as reliable protection for your home, but in reality, they exclude almost everything that matters. When I recently experienced a sudden and unforeseen issue in my home, Allianz Direct completely refused to cover it, even though it caused significant and unavoidable damage.
Their response was dismissive, hiding behind vague fine print and technicalities instead of actually helping a long-time paying customer. As a result, I have now had to spend €15,000 out of pocket for repairs that I reasonably expected to be insured.
Insurance should be about peace of mind, but Allianz Direct has provided me with nothing but stress, financial loss, and disappointment. If you want real coverage and fair treatment, look elsewhere. Allianz Direct’s home insurance is misleading, unreliable, and offers no real protection when you need it most.

Made a claim for damage destroy camera and drone fallen from car luggage roof rack and consequently flattened by traffic. Took almost one year for them to ome to a decision or communicate. They failed to answer all my many follow ups and also those from Independar follow up. They sent me an email today. We are sorry you are not covered the end. I cannot stress enough almost a full year. No answers regardless of how you reach out. This is a complete joke of a business, not even a full explantation or indeed a hint of apology it took almost a year. A simple claim of damage/loss from an accident. Not misuse not mishandling an accidental damage loss. Why even have this insurance. They are being fraudulent at the very least. Fraud fraud fraud and dishonestly and a failure to communicate. Absolute 😲
Further update that Alianze said to. Contact them and I did to state my appeal and they have again after four days just complete ignored me. I will keep this review updated and will try to further reach out on social media platforms. The unexpected deserve to know about the flagrant disregard they have for you the potential victims also. The lack of communication , almost a year to answer a simple loss=damage and being told NO your not covered on a camera and drone loss since you're luggage became detached and crushed destroyed and its to dangerous to retrieve said smashed destroyed bag. It seems its better to check your policy and construct a lie that fits with the narrative here rather than an actual loss damage genuine accident and tge reason you have travel insurance for you and you're valued items. Absolute disgrace from start to finish. Let's hope sense prevails here at Allianz but from tge handling I sincerely don't this failing company can put tge genuine. Customer first.
