I couldn’t have been happier

I couldn’t have been happier with how smoothly our transfer went both from Geneva to Val Thorens and back. Our driver Ilvis was just perfect, he may honestly be the best driver I’ve ever been in a car with. He was smooth and confident without being aggressive, it was a great ride. He was super friendly and showed up early for both sides of the trip which made everything so easy and our pick-up from Val Thorens was at 5:40, so being there early was really amazing.

Mixed review for large party


We were a large party of 10 (6 of those being children under the age of 5) travelling between 17-24th Jan 2026

We had 2 great drivers on the way from the airport to the resort ( one named Toms not sure on other ones name but thank you both) Toms reached out the day before pickup with clear instructions of where they would wait for us and a friendly message.

We had a good journey except for one small complication with fitting one of the car seats which proved very difficult and took around 20 minutes to work out with the help of google!

On our return journey we had communication with our drivers before arrival and everything seemed to be fine.

It wasn’t until the time of pickup when only one driver ( named Karl who was great and really helpful) had arrived when we expected.

We then had a WhatsApp from the second driver to say he was running over 1 hr late which caused a panic as we knew we would be extremely tight to make the flight home and with so many of us we could not all fit in one car.

We knew half of us had to leave with Karl who was there waiting and those people in that car needed to take all of the luggage to check in ahead of the second party who simply wouldn’t have time to do this with such a late arrival to the airport.

This left 2 ladies with their 4 children all under the age of 3 to deal with all the luggage for a party of 10 as well as buggies and hand luggage at the airport without the other half of our party there to help. Karl was very kind and helped us load everything into a trolley and helped us across the road with it all.

Although it all worked out ok and everyone did make the flight ( by the skin of their teeth) it was quite unnecessarily stressful and made the whole journey home very rushed and high pressure, We literally had no time to stop & catch a breath. by the time we checked all of the luggage in we had to rush through security and straight the the gate and our other party in the car behind was the last to get on the plane.

The drivers we encountered were all helpful and responsive when contacted. it’s just a shame about the delay we encountered. Not sure of the reason for this but it did taint experience for us.

Bad and very unsafe experience

The experience with this company was completely unacceptable and unsafe.
On the outbound trip from Geneva Airport to Avoriaz, the driver was extremely rude, constantly rushing us and refusing to help install the baby and child seats, which were old, worn out, and clearly unsafe.
However, the return journey was far worse and frankly alarming. The van that picked us up did not have approved car seats for our two babies, despite this being explicitly requested and confirmed in the booking. We were only able to travel because a friend fortunately lent us a proper car seat. Even so, we were forced to use one of the company’s seats, which was again old and unsafe, meaning the babies were not properly protected during the journey. This is extremely serious, highly unprofessional, and completely unacceptable, especially when it involves the safety of infants.
The only positive aspect of the entire experience was the customer service team, who were polite and responded quickly to our questions.
That said, this does not compensate for the lack of safety and professionalism shown during the transfers. I absolutely cannot recommend this company, and I would strongly advise others not to use their services, particularly if traveling with children.

On the whole the experience was OK

On the whole the experience was OK. Salzburg to Hinterglemm was perfect and the company/driver were very accommodating when there were delays.
On the return journey with an additional passenger, which was prebooked and paid for the vehicle was too small.
With no room for skis, again pre-booked. 1 seat had to be folded down leaving 7 people using 6 seats. Which meant 2 passengers could not use seatbelts.

Nothing was a problem.

Professional and reliable service

Professional service in all aspects. Great communication, quick and competitive quotes with the ability to adjust your itinerary if needed. Karl who we had for both of our routes was great and the overall experience is one I'd recommend if you want a professional, luxury and reliable car service in the alps. I will only use AlpinBus on my next adventures.
