I tried to make an application for an…

In this digital age with my valid documents other financial institutions did set up and follow digital systems that helped my valid documents to be verified more efficiently... In Europe all financial institutions, regulated by the Financial Conduct authority.Choosing or adopting different regulatory frameworks and different verification processes are discretely left for the the financial Institution’ s initiations This means, although the requirements may vary from one platform to another, however the way the institutions perform the verifications are selected discretely by that specific financial institution with their own initiations.
iF, the issue is not the validity of MY passport or residence visa, WHY DIDN’T YOU SET UP tO CHANGE TO A MORE DIGITAL,BETTER VERIFICATION checks during registration??? Why do you have to insist on primitive old fashion improper verification checks?? So simple!! Change to the zoom meeting ? ask me to show my ID through camera or ask me to show address proof document through camera or you could ask the proof of the entry stamp in the passport through the camera..there are more feasible much better ways to check the location.

Some of these checks were not met.Because the method is not practical it is not feasible because it is not the proper way it is a primitive way!!!

I tried to make an application for an account opening for such a long time However each time there was so much of troubles and inefficiency that i had to face with.. my application process has turned out to be a miserable/troubled one because of their inefficient improper inadequate inaccurate services.Their customer services have only been busy with the dictation of their terms rules and conditions rather than bringing up a resolution...It is not satisfactory services at all!...A legal lawful legitimate residence document should be good enough to verify ID s of the customers because The legitimate lawful legal residence visa is also included as one of the standard document which could be used for the verification of the account in the regulations set by the financial conduct authorities!!!But if your organisation picks up a specific document as the only legal legitimate document that means you ignore you alineate all other people who stay legally legitimately with residence visa in one country!!..Such policy and criteria of only accepting residence permit as standard document could imply for segregating alineating ineffiecient and improper policies...Why do i have to be forced to have a residence permit in each country ? as i reside temporarily, i only need a legal legitimate residence visa?????This is a policy against the rights of people and against freeodm of choice of people!!!..
THIS IS A FACT AND REALITY FOR HOW YOU TORTURE YOUR CUSTOMER S FOR SO LONG WITH YOUR IMPROPER INEFFICIENT INADEQUATE SERVICES THROUGH IMPROPER UNSATISFACTORY METHODS RULES SPAMS AND SCAMS

THIS IS THE DECLARATION HERE THAT I WILL CONTINUE TO CONDEMN THROUGH SHARING IN MEDIA ABOUT ALL YOUR SHORTCOMINGS AND FAILURES IN OFFERING DECENT/legitimate/accurate SERVICES TO THE CUSTOMERS BASED ON MY RECENT TEDIOUS PAINFUL EXPERIENCES AT YOUR COMPANY

Hi Ismail,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

We're really sorry for how frustrating the process has been, especially considering the effort you’ve already put in to get set up.

It’s clear that a lot has been done on your side, and it’s not the experience anyone would want. In some cases, verification may not go through due to a combination of factors, including system checks and local requirements around accepted document types.

We’d really like to help move this forward for you. If you’re open to it, please get in touch with our Support Team, and we’ll guide you on the next steps.

No one should use this bank, They are Scammer

No one should use this bank, they are fraudsters. Someone I know sent me 270 euros, then I want to send this fund from my account to another account. But then it turns out that Altery has put my transaction under review, later the bank asked me to give it information, I gave everything. Then they asked me to give them the statement of the bank to which I wanted to send 270 euros, I gave it too. After giving it, they did not respond. Then I messaged their support. Support told me that it is under review, they do not know when the review will end. Then I threatened them. Because a few days ago, they blocked my friend's 750 euros in the same way and said that they would send the money to the bank from which it came. Then my friend asked them for proof, they could not provide proof that they had refunded it. They wanted to kill this money, they were lying without refunding it. Then my friend threatened to file a case against Altery in the UK and all Threatened to give a review on social platform. At one time they returned his money later. They are doing the same with me, they blocked my 270 and blocked my login access. They sent me an email that they will return the 270 euros to the account from whose account the 270 euros came. Now my question is why will they give my money to that account? Has that account reported anything to them? Then why won't they give me the opportunity to withdraw my money? I have used Wise, Revolut before, if the account is closed for some reason, they give me the opportunity to withdraw immediately. They don't think about killing people's money. But Altery is doing the same with everyone. Many are not reporting. They have created a beautiful system of fraud from countries like UK. If they don't let me withdraw my money, I will file a case against them in UK. I have talked to my lawyer. I am collecting more complaints against them.

Hi Moheuddin,

We understand how stressful it feels when funds are restricted. While we take concerns about account reviews, returned funds and communication seriously, we need to be careful not to discuss account-specific details on a public review.

In some cases, transfers can be restricted or funds can be returned through the original payment route as part of a review or account restriction process. The exact outcome depends on the checks completed and the payment route involved.

The remaining balance will be returned in line with the outcome of the review and the available payment route.

If you feel you have not received adequate service from Altery and wish to make an official complaint, you can file one by submitting a form through our website: https://altery.com/legal/complaints-policy.

If you don't want to lose your funds I strongly advise against it.
A few days after another successful transfer to my account, support claims my account is undergoing a standard review. They block it and require me to provide a statement from the transfer sender's account. How can I obtain one since I'm only the recipient and don't have access to the sender's account or a sender after a few days? Now I no longer have access to my Altera account or the funds in it, and support is unresponsive.
It's also strange that all the employees I previously interacted with via chat have Russian names.
This looks like a Russian app operating in the UK, laundering funds. Do not repeat my mistake and don't use this service, if you're looking for a reliable payment processor, you can find more trustworthy services like Re-volut.

UPDATE:
In line with data protection and financial regulations, I'm also not permitted to contact third parties or their banks directly. Required documentation doesn't have anything to do with me, so it can not be obtained through my account.

I will take legal action against this company

My friend send me two transaction first transaction was £5 then he sent £579.93. First transaction was credited but when he sent £579.93 altery didn’t credited my fund.they claimed they refunded the money but didn’t give me any proof of refund.i asked customers service but they Don't reply. My friend haven’t got any refund yet.they stole the money. I have faced same problem when i wanted to send €770 from altery to other bank accounts they hold my money. Then i have written a review and after many argument they eventually gave my money. This altery account can use smoothly just for transferring money less than €150, anything bigger than this amount they will started drama and your money will be hold forever , you have to give unnecessary documents to get or send your money. I have got same report from other customers also. They provided me some proof. I am also gathering few more proofs that this company is a scam. My Uncle is lawyer in UK, i will take legal action against this company

Hi Arman,

We understand you’re unhappy that one transfer was credited while the other wasn’t and you haven’t received clear confirmation of what happened to it.

Under section 5.4 of our Terms & Conditions, inbound payments are credited the same business day unless we reasonably require additional information to meet legal and regulatory requirements, in which case access may remain restricted until checks are completed. Section 5.6 allows a payment to be restricted or reversed where required by law, regulation, or safeguarding and risk controls.

We’re sorry this wasn’t the outcome you expected. We’ve been sharing updates on your funds via in-app messages and automatic payment notifications to make sure you’re always aware of the current status. Your funds remain safeguarded under sections 4.9 and 19 and are held in segregated safeguarding accounts.

I usually use Altery and my Altery VISA card while travelling, but this time I needed to move money from the UK to the UAE.

I received the GBP funds from my husband in the UK to my Altery GBP account within seconds. The onward transfer to the UAE took longer and required some additional manual checks, but the money arrived successfully.

What I appreciated most was that even though the transfer took a few days to complete, the exchange rate was locked in on the day I initiated the transfer. That was especially important because the GBP/AED rate was very favourable at the time.

Another big plus was the cost — the fees were minimal compared to what I would typically pay through a traditional bank. P2P options also weren’t suitable for this particular transfer, so I was very happy with the outcome.

So thank you to the Altery team!

Altery is a very user-friendly and reliable app for everyday payments and transfers. The interface is clean and intuitive, transactions are fast, and overall the service feels secure and well thought-out. I also appreciate that support is responsive and genuinely tries to help when needed. While there is always room for improvement, my experience has been positive so far, and I can confidently recommend Altery as a convenient financial tool.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all feedback seriously, both from our customers and from parties involved in transactions with them, and continuously review how we can improve our processes.

In this case, your interaction with us was related to the refund of a payment sent to one of our customers. We can confirm that the funds have now been successfully returned and received, as you have acknowledged.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tried to transfer two sums to this account. One from my own account £2 and another from a friend £175.

NEITHER of the transfers materialised, despite them saying the account is working correctly.

Their British phone number doesn't work (rings out after 30 minutes saying that you need to call inside of office hours (I called at like 12pm, so well inside the stated UTC business hours) and chat is being evasive.

DO NOT USE!!!

Hi Will,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We’re really sorry to hear that your experience hasn’t been a good one, and we’re here to help get things sorted.

1. We’d be happy to continue the conversation in chat about the missing payments and pick things up from there. We didn’t previously have any details about the £2 transfer, so it would really help if you could share a bit more information with us.

2. Thanks for letting us know about the phone line issue. We’ve flagged this and are currently looking into it.

We’ll be waiting for your message in the chat and are ready to help.
