We have business account with Altery

So far this is the best fintech bank we tried for business (we tried many). Best support in banking field I have ever seen. It is like you have a personal banker, but you are just a regular customer. Every time I communicate with them, I'm sure that this will be settled by a human, who will read everything carefully, and understand my point. Other pros: very good UX, good app, reasonable prices and fees.

Altery is a scam

Altery is a scam, stay away. I'd give negative stars if I could, even zero is too much for Altery. My experience with them was the same as for the other 1 star reviewers here. Altery's script is to gain client's trust with small amounts and once a client deposits more, they start their usual fake "investigation" where they demand "proofs" every few days but nothing is ever good enough because they keep changing requirements. Once they run out of things to demand they abruptly terminate your account with the famous clause 12.1 as an excuse. They ask you where they should send you the money in your account, again demanding a statement of the destination account with a set of requirements, but then when you provide it they never respond, effectively stealing the money. In my case the shockingly even banned my specific e-mail address on their mail server that I used in my Altery account so that I cannot reply to them at all. When I did from another e-mail address they never responded. They're a bunch of thieves pretending to be a legitimate financial institution, immitating all communications of a real business. Do not fall for this fraud. I encourage everyone to report them to the UK authorities. I cannot wait for the FCA to take away their license and put them in prison.

UPDATE:

After being ignored for days this review finally did the trick and my money were promptly returned the same day. Make out of it what you want ...

I don't know why'd Altery develop such a good product and then behave like this. Bizzare. I'd suggest the management to raise funding rather than resort to this. Cheers.

Been waiting for over 3 weeks for a…

Been waiting for over 3 weeks for a review to be completed and no updates given at all. Left me unable to get to work as no access to my funds. Absolutely pathetic service will never recommend

Horrible, Bad Experience for ID verification

The whole company is a joke.
I applied to open an account as an EU citizen. Everything was fine until they asked me to write a CV for the past 20 years during the verification process.
I politely told them that I am not applying to be the CEO of Altery and that I just need to open an account for my convenience. The customer service agent insisted that this step was crucial for ID verification. Be prepared for a bunch of nonsense from this app. The feeling to deal with them is terrible, tricky, and nasty.

Wasn’t expecting much

Wasn’t expecting much, but Altery surprised me in a good way

Setup was way quicker than I thought — I was done in like 15 minutes. The app’s interface is clean and easy to get around, and the Telegram bot is actually super handy (didn’t expect that).

What really stood out — I got a virtual card instantly, added it to Apple Wallet, and used it to pay at a store the same day. No waiting, no weird steps — just worked.

Also reached out to support with a quick question and they got back fast, which was nice.

So far, happy with it. Curious to see how it works long-term.

I discovered truly magical feature for me

Using this awesome service to send money from 🇮🇱Israel to 🇫🇷France. Toping up balance with shekel Apple pay card to euro account was straight forward and instant.

Then I discovered truly magical feature for me – auto document parsing! I just scanned payment details with camera within Altery app! In french!

AI just fetched all data for me and I hit send. No need in translations and reading all this small texts.

Next moth I just repeated previous transaction from history and thats it. Wrote to support for requiring payments I was assured that this is coming.

Double ping that waiting for that! =)

Seamless and Reliable for International Transfers

This app has made sending money abroad so much easier than I expected. The design is clean, and everything—from signing up to completing a transfer—is really intuitive. I didn’t need a tutorial or support; it just worked right out of the gate.

Transfers are fast and reliable. I’ve sent money to a few different countries now, and it’s always arrived on time. The exchange rates are fair, fees are transparent, and I get notifications every step of the way, which gives me peace of mind.

Overall, it’s one of the smoothest experiences I’ve had with a financial app. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something simple and trustworthy for international payments.

Avoid at all costs 🤬

1 star is too much

Absolute jokers opened my account no problem had 2 payments put in 1from myself 1 from my friend, they closed the account. If you don't have another account in your name they keep your money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

UPDATE
Altery phoned my friend who transferred the money to me and they told her I was a scammer, I am in the process of reporting them, again DO NOT TRUST YOUR MONEY WITH THESE JOKERS.

Excellent support and smooth onboarding experience

I opened my Altery account just a few days ago and tested all methods of account replenishment and outgoing payments. Everything worked seamlessly. Special thanks to Adrian and the support team for their excellent and efficient assistance - all my requests were handled quickly and professionally. A great start, and I am looking forward to future features like a web app for individuals.
