Good prices and excellent customer service
Amazon are a large company, almost a monopoly. Sure the high streets are closing down, but who wants to go there anyway.
Amazon offer good prices on most things, cheap delivery to lockers, and I've never had an issue with refunds or returns.
Overall I really like Amazon.
Sceptical but now convinced
I kept hearing how wonder Amazon Prime was and finally relented and signed up. It is brilliant. And when I bought what I thought was a Chromecast and it was so complicated I couldn't install it, I contacted their customer services and returned it and have had a full refund.
The films are great too.

I have spent over 75 minutes tonight asking Amazon to sort out an offer that was offered to me as a customer, the code didn’t work and they virtually called me both a liar and stupid and worse wasted 75 minutes of my evening. Then they pointed out I could only have 1 of the 2 items on offer, which was fair enough had the deal worked in the first place, so I asked given the 75 minutes spent in live chat that perhaps they would be kind enough to make this right and let me have both options to make up for it, but no chance! Appalling service 75 minutes to prove to them that I was telling the truth all along and when I asked for a customer services manager to call back they told me I’d have to wait until tomorrow, disgusting!!!!

I ordered three items listed on this website at 7.99 GBP, 9.99 and 4.00 GPB.
In the 'Shopping Basket' they were listed as those prices as well.
But upon check out their prices were raised to 8.34, 10.40 and 5.00 GBP. Shipping and Handling charges were then listed extra to that.
So I deleted all the items from my basket, found them again at their original prices, added them to my basket still showing their original prices, and again when I went to the final purchase of the items all the prices increased again without and warning or explanation.
Should Amazon.co.uk do this to 10,000 people per day then they are getting quite a bit of extra money for this trick. Pathetic business ethic by Amazon.co.uk
And to be certain I was correct I repeated the process many times and tried other items. Always the same result: The prices sneak up only at final check out where it may blend in with shipping and handling costs.

Label less return cost more than the item ! waste of time 1
Bought a £9.99 wireless keyboard that packed up after only 2 weeks. Was informed I could do a labelless return & was emailed a QRH code. Nearest drop off was my local post office according Amazon. When I got there it was shut because their computer system was up the wazoo, went back a few days later, stood in a queue for 20 minutes, when i got to the front of the queue, I was told they couldn't do it as they didn't have the system installed ! Drove to the other side of town to the main sorting office, only to find my phone was out of credit & I couldn't retrieve the email with the code !
All in all cost me more in petrol than the bl00dy keyboard cost in the first place ! gave up, threw it in the bin.
Over 500 or my reviews deleted for no reason
With no explanation or response to my emails, Amazon has removed all my reviews (+500) going back to the late 1990s. I have spent thousands of pounds and wasted hundreds of hours writing reviews for Amazon. I am also prevented from writing reviews for products that I have purchased since my ban. Apparently, I am 'biased', being personally linked to every single product I have ever bought or am yet to buy, from Amazon!? I was a top reviewer and Amazon invited to me to join the Vine programme to review specific items several years ago - because I was a top reviewer. I have been locked out that programme also. I have written to Amazon ten times, over six weeks and have not had a response. I have been a loyal customer to Amazon with a business account, AWS, KDP, Prime, Marketplace seller, Professional Seller, advertiser, FBA. Extraordinary treatment of loyal customers. This is one of the world's largest organisations and it has virtually no customer service. Ironic when it signs itself, 'Helping to build Earth's most customer-centric company'.
I would recommend Amazon to anyone.
How come Amazon.co.uk only has 90 reviews on Trustpilot?! I thought it was supposed to be massive! Anyway, I've used Amazon loads so it's about time I wrote a review. It's like a giant shopping catalogue where you can buy almost anything you want. I don't like the way it uses the filters on the side of the page. They don't work half the time and that's annoying. But that's my only negative. As for positives, everything else really. I think the biggest positive would have to be delivery time. Everything I have ever ordered has either arrived on or before the expected delivery date (most being before). I would recommend Amazon to anyone.

Very rarely have any problems with delivery. Customer service is always good.
Never had a problem
I'm really surprised at the short delivery times, twice I had to return an item because the seller mistakenly sent the wrong item (can happen, once a different book and once a shirt in a different size than ordered) and even that went smooth and without a hitch, the only thing that could be improved is if the drivers would actually ring the door and not almost beat the door down by banging on it, there are door bells for a reason.

I have purchased hundred of items through Amazon and never had any major issue.
A couple of times after an order the price may lower but a quick chat online and they refund the difference.
Once I order several of one item and one was missing and they shipped one out the same day.
Prices are always good and they like to price match a lot of the time, which is great when you have prime membership and get the free next day delivery.

In general a good experience with this company, but some of the Companies they deal with and use are a bit lacklustre with their delivery promises, although Amazon are proactive with dispute resolution.
Worst delivery service i have ever come across.
Ordered lawnmower cover on 5 August. Received email telling me it had been dispatched on 7 August and to expect delivery on 1 September. They must be sending it via Australia.
It's now 19 August and still waiting. 12 days since being dispatched.
Delivered on 20 August 13 days after dispatch. Is this a record?
Buyers paradise, Great Experience and Service..
Perfect Buyer Experience and Good Seller Platform. This is a well managed platform, unlike eBay that charge you the earth, shaft you in payment fee's also as they own the payment platform. Amazon is a buyers paradise, where sellers are practically not allowed to conduct business badly, and buyers are treated as number one. I love Amazon, to the extent that if its not on Amazon.. and only on eBay.. I won't buy it.
Absolutely refuses to recognize my Email address
I have not been able to get into my account and even with re-setting passwords it has not been possible by either mobile or pc. I spent an hour trying to fix this problem. The front line service tries its best but what is the point of that if second or even third and so on refuse to back front line up - its bound to fail and guess what - I still can't get into site which is a shame.
Fast and easy, standards falling
Fast and easy, they’ve always delivered on the day/window they say. But recently they’ve starting using poor quality delivery services. Amazon is good value and convienient but that’s disappearing as reliability is falling - I suggest they offer customers choices for delivery services as Id happily pay more for a trusted courier.
