I was a little worried when i ordered off of Ebay , that my order for rubbing alcohol wouldn't be met. I must admit how very wrong i was , in this time of uncertainty and panic buying . I spoke to them on Facebook messenger and they got back to me . I recieved 1 litre of surgical spirits which will be distributed throughout my family and friends. In line with other reviewers who purchased on ebay with promises of delivery in 6 days, absolutely nothing, no replies to messages, no answer to calls (in fact the answer phone is all you get because they are too busy to deal with calls??) If a company is making that mch money they can afford to employ staff to man the phones. Pure unadulterated greed. Despite the threat to cancel if a case is opened I went ahead, bully tactics won;t work with me either. If APC leave you a reply to feedback you can FOLLOW UP that and reply again, they cannot then reply - ebay buyers have the last word!! so do it, I urge you. Threatening to cancel orders if a case is opened is a breach of Ebay policies and this has been confirmed by ebay today. anyone wishing to do a free company search online for the commercial director will see that this is the second company he's set up - I will let you guess what happened to the first.

Asking ebayers to leave positive reviews to negate the bad reviews is also not permitted by Ebay and is a violation of their policies. Underhanded tactics and not what one expects from a commercial organisation.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS CLOWN!

Yes we have a issue in the world currently, yes many are panic buying, yes I am sure there is a influx of orders BUT they "claim" they have stock so that is not a problem.

So after waiting a week and messaging twice no one could even be bothered to respond to one let alone dispatch the 1 x 500ml bottle I had ordered (was hardly a big order hey) so I had left negative feedback which personally I would expect if I failed to 1) dispatch within the time shown. 2) completely ignored customers emails. This would prompt me to rectify the problem and at very least keep the customer in the loop but what do I know, just that manners dont cost a penny!

Over the weekend in my time to spend with family and assure them that in this time of craziness we will be ok I recieve quite a lengthy and obnoxious email from Pete/Peter Keenan.
This is 2 sentences from the email just to get a general idea of the reasoning behind it!

- We are sending this email to warn you that if you have a case open and still want your goods, you need to close it asap, otherwise we will have to cancel your order.

- So PLEASE close your cases if you still want your product, as once refunded your orders will not be reinstated, and there is no stock in the market.

I have also being threatened that I wont be able to use their Ebay store no more (rest assured I did not loose one wink of sleep)

Now bully boy tactics and lies wont work with me, I have now gone elsewhere and got what I wanted at a cheaper price whilst leaving my "HONEST" feedback still. APC is another name for the registered business "Atom Scientific LTD" and Peter John Keenan is actually one of 2 directors.

You guys decide for yourself if you want to deal with that sort of customer service from a DIRECTOR!

This crisis has brought me to your doorstep, in the natural urge of self-preservation and protection that a 5-litre tub of 70% isopropanol may or may not give me and my family.
Then when there was a delay in delivery, I went to your facebook page. And Peter !, when I read your posts trying to explain to everyone why the delays in the midst of a word wide Crisis, I got these good vibes of a person whose upfront, honest, with facts information and trying to explain and overcome this unprecedented, overwhelming demand on products.
I got my order today 7 postal days late. In my opinion that was blooming great under the circumstances.
I think you are in this for the long haul, so heads up & good luck.

SCAMMERS!. THEY SELL STOCK ON EBAY THEY DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE to get money. I paid for some Isopropyl alcohol that was supposed to be delivered in 48 hours!. I waited a week and nothing arrived. After scamming thousands of other people they then decide to just cancel all the orders and refund without any reason and then scam more people and keep to the same thing over and over to replace their cash flow and make money with peoples cash!. I never even cancelled my order, I wanted the item. They clearly never had it to start with and they have left the listing on Ebay even though there is no stock!! to scam many more people the same way!!. They are blaming everything on the Corona virus, but the truth is is that they kept the listing set at 48hrs delivery to be deceitful towards people and get as much money in as possible. We are talking 10’s of thousands!, They refunded the customers who didn’t pay their quadrupled price of £38 for 1 litre of alcohol. I only paid £7 for the litre, of course they will refund me when they can profiteer on my bottle and make 4 time’s more!. At the moment this company has over 100 negative feedbacks in just 1 week!. It’s going up every day I look. This speaks for itself!. DON’T GET BURN’T LIKE I WAS!. The manager working their by the name of Pete actually called me a “knob”. How can you talk to a customer like that?, it’s shocking! 152 negative feedbacks!. Hopefully Ebay shuts them down. I have reported them already.

I recently purchased a small quantity of isopropyl from their eBay store & I'm still waiting for delivery even though I've emailed them several times I cannot get a reply, I don't want a refund,I want the product I purchased, maybe because of prices going through the roof for this particular product they are hoping to ignore me & refund me at a later date then sell the same item at the new market price. Sorry but if you advertise at that price & people purchase it then the price goes dramatically up then it's not the customers fault. Very poor communication avoid at all costs

Used this company for the first time after reading the blog on how to clean my patio! Worked really well, prices were good and delivered within a day or two.

This used to be a friendly company and staff were really helpful. It was a particularly handy place to use as they've moved around a lot but they were only ever 15 minutes drive to pick things up.

As they've got bigger it's not got better. I restore high end kitchen stuff - the kind people who live in London pay silly money for and it involves the use of chemicals as part of the process. It's small scale, but It's my business (that's a critical word here).

I went onto the APC site this evening as I'm nearly out of sulphuric acid. You go onto the site and they now will only accept orders for this (and a number of other products) from companies, hospitals etc. They are blaming the EPP legislation as the reason for this restriction.

I have been onto the .gov website to use the online EPP licence application to see if the requirement for an EPP licence has changed but I get the following result "You are not required to have an EPP licence if you import, acquire, use or possess the substances listed in a business or professional capacity".

I have rung APC up before to query its self imposed restriction, but the office staff are running to a script and won't deviate from standard responses. It's now far easier for APC to say "Business" means "limited company" - but that's not what the legislation says.

I accept that APC are taking the safest possible route to ensure that loonies don't get hold of chemicals that could be used for nefarious purposes and have come up with a blanket restriction regardless of the law, but it shouldn't be a requirement to form a limited company to obtain them.(If that's the way you CAN get hold of them from APC, then others will use it).

As I said at the beginning. It's gone bigger, but the personal aspect has lost out.

Ordered a product and it arrived 3 days later in good packaging and exactly what i ordered, can't complain.

Good communication via email, I've had a good service.

I've ordered from this company a number of times and every order has not matched their 'same day dispatch if ordered before 2pm' which is clearly stated on their website (I have always ordered before 2pm). I thought I'd give them 1 last chance, but they've done the same thing again. I have no idea when my items will arrive. I've contacted customer services and they give me very different information than what is on their website. The person who emailed me back informed me that their could be a 1-3 day delay. However, when I asked if I would have been informed of this had I not emailed and enquired about my order (knowing how poorly my orders have been complete), I never got a reply. The only response to this was a slight avoidance and change of subject. If there is an issue with completing my order I expect to be notified, otherwise i'm expecting my order to be fulfilled in a timely manner that is stated on the website, of which I expect to be upheld as a condition of my order placement and transaction. Unfortunately that has never been the case.
A few months ago I ordered 1 item and it took 4 weeks to arrive. I'm sure it never would have if I hadn't chased it up. They take your money very quickly though.

Nothing but trouble with this company , late delivery I have been waiting 9 days now for my order and when I tried to ask for my money back one of the directors was rude,arrogant and hung up the phone! Website is full of bugs and does not work properly items are always not in stock and they do not bother to tell you! stay well clear

Manchester based chemical supplies - Poor service - website full of bugs - basket endlessly clearing as add items - nasty company that treats customers with contempt. Late deliveries! Bad management. You name it. Take your money, then won't give you a refund when items don't arrive!!
