A nice flat and place to stay for the week

We just returned from a week long stay at an APLH property. This was one of the best vacations we have had, Nick was responsive and very helpful finding us the best location and for a great car service to and from the airport. The flat was lovely and so comfortable in the evenings after a full day of sightseeing, so much better than a cramped hotel room! We will recommend APLH to everyone we know and will definitely use them again on our next trip! Thank you Nick and APLH for such a great service!

Nick! Nick was invaluable during this transaction and our vacation. Another organization initially scammed us, and Nick jumped right in to help us find another flat. The flat was great - equipped with all we would need! Easy walk to two (2) underground stations, markets, restaurants, etc. We had a great experience! We'll use APLH when we return to London! This is the second time we've rented an apartment through APLH. We have been pleased with both the apartments and the service both times. The 6th-floor apartment in Nell Qwynn House was clean, spacious (for a studio), well appointed, quiet and exceptionally well located. The financial arrangements were straight forward and fair. Our "greeter" met us at the apartment right on time and explained where everything was and answered our questions. We will definitely use APLH again should we find ourselves looking for a place to stay in London.

Lovely big apartment, plenty of space and nice having the bedrooms at the back away from the road. Spacious kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Only negative was thin curtains in the master bedroom that let the bright outside light shine through. Great location, very helpful and flexible on arrival and departure times.

We have stayed at very comfortable flats in our favorite areas in London through A Place Like Home for close to 15 years . Nick and his team have been brilliant always . We would always choose their flats and attention to detail.

Flexible check-in and check-out times, flat was conform to description, everybody was helpful and responsive.

What helped making this a more sucessful stay was that the owner got a microwave for me when I suggested the kitchen needed one, and some other kitchen supplies. The apartment is small, but better than a hotel room. I stayed for a month, and it was quite adequate for me when I didn't have company. The location is great, easy walk to tube station stations.

We have used this company for many years. One of our complaints in recent years has been the quality/comfort of some of the furniture in the flats. Specifically, there was no comfortable place to sit and watch television or read in the evening. We realize that this is the responsibility of the Owners and not APLH, but if we cannot count on APLH to make sure we can get up out of the sofa, it diminishes our experience. The last two flats we rented had this problem.

Another issue was that this flat (ground floor) was very dark and we needed lamps on at all times. This was caused by the plantation blinds installed to provide privacy (on the ground floor!)

Apart from these issues, the flat was well appointed and service was provided weekly. However, we are older travelers and we would not stay in this particular flat again.

Your helpful and rapid responses in all matters, large and small; following up queries, being prepared to check out possibilities. Consistently responsive and flexible over ten years.

The location was terrific and it was easy to flag a taxi or to walk to stores restaurants, pubs and to go for groceries. Everything in the house was working and it made for a very nice stay. We appreciated that two of the beds were true North American King size beds. We will book again.

15 Market Mews is in a great location to access much of London on foot, by bus ,or underground. We were met at the apartment and given an overview of the amenities which was helpful. Apartment very clean and comfortable.
Throughout the rental process, communication with Nick and others was excellent.
A couple of improvements would be helpful:
- the tub access has a high stepover height. Grab bars should be added for safety.
- the kitchen was minimally outfitted for cooking. A few starting supplies and spices would have been welcome .
Would certainly recommend A Place Like Home to others .

Location was excellent, building was clean. I would NOT use unit 635 again. Bed soft. Sofa worn. No clear instructions for Washer/dryer. Likewise, new modem, but instructions and password not provided. Impersonal. Since I denied car service, no one to meet us personally. Had to retrieve keys elsewhere after 36 hours of travel. Are you short-staffed. Most important: tub shower dangerous. No non-slip features, and hand rails in inconvenient place—not at arm height. Maybe another unit with another owner who cares about guest comfort.
