Chiller does not work!

Ordered in December, arrived January. Had the P02 error code from the beginning. Numerous email/calls/videos. They finally sent a new unit in April, and IMMEDIATELY after plugging it in, same P02 error code. Obviously this is a China based drop shipping company. But this thing flat out does not work. Stay away!

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!! (Did NOT even purchase)

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! I am a student and never even made a purchase. 2 weeks ago, there was a fraudulent transaction from this company on my card. Made a good faith effort and called them immediately within hours. The rep told me that an order was placed a few hours ago and he wouldn’t be able to refund me without approval from the “management team” for full refund. Later that afternoon, I called back again and I was told the management had agreed and a refund was processed and I would get my money back in 3-5 days. A week passed and no refund. Emailed them and received an email back that the order was cancelled and refund was processed, recommending me to check my bank. An hour later, called them again, this time the rep told me the order was canceled but refund was not processed because they’re “investigating”. After repeatedly asking to talk to a manager, he said he will have someone call me back. Sometime later, a person named JP called me and said that even though this was a fraudulent transaction, the address on the order was my address so they would have to deduct 5% from the refund, but even that he would need approval from his higher-ups. He promised to get back to me in 24 hrs and would be able to process the refund. It’s been 5 days since our call, still no refund or call. And now the company has blocked my phone number!

Filed a dispute with Affirm! These people are not legitimate. Freaking bunch of scamsters.

Arctic warrior Wheres Stan?

Well I would say I do like the tank itself only reason I give this a two star.

Customer service - they do answer the phone but can’t resolve issues

Management will not call or talk to you a they only have one phone number for the whole company.

Hoses lack proper fasteners to secure them to fittings for the tank. Crazy to think spending 2500 dollars on this set up you’ve gotta go buy them. Secure the hoses if you’re going to put the tank in the house.

I’m at an utter lack of words when my chiller stopped working and they said I needed to send them a video. They wanted their….engineering team? (Likely just based in China) to figure out the issue and send me parts so I could fix it.

No one should have to fix something on this product when it’s 2500 dollars, chiller runs constantly, it’s auto on and auto off doesn’t actually work.

There is more organized companies with more QA checks on their products go with them.

BEWARE!

Worst company you could ever deal with. Terrible communication. They do not respond. Unit never worked from the beginning. Tried to return the unit - it took them 6 weeks to even send me the packing slip and I still not have received any monies back.

Do not buy this product...

Do not buy this product. It is overpriced. I purchased the unit, it did not deliver all the items. I was going to return it immediately but they said they try it out for 100 days. About 30 days in, the unit could not keep the lower temperature so I wanted to return...they said to provide the RMA#, never heard back. My unit is not working as expected.

STAY AWAY.

STAY AWAY.

I purchased a chiller and it immediately started leaking upon plugging it in. I reached out to support and they eventually sent me another one. The second chiller was not in good condition and looked to have been used. They promised me a refund and it's been 3+ weeks and I have not heard from anyone in over 8 days. They continue to say we are waiting for a message from the "management team".

I believe they are slow playing this to not provide the refund.

I have disputed the charge with affirm and have filed a complaint with the BBB.

It's not worth the headache. It's such an expensive purchase and the customer service and care is next to nothing.

Worst cold plunge on the planet..buyer…

Worst cold plunge on the planet..buyer beware. They continue to give me run around about why my cold plunge is not working..after letting it sit for a week cause it's not working, turned back on to do more trouble shooting...there is now brown stuff in my bath tub which I figure is rust..don't buy a cold plunge from this people..they are telling me now I have a refrigerant leak which is causing my thermometer to read wrong temperature. Eventhough the water us 37 degrees..make that make sense. And again they are not fixing it or honoring their 1 year warranty...I got this in October it is march 2nd..don't buy!!!!!

Terrible

Terrible. Issues with delivery and communication. Package came in three different parts, the main chiller from overseas and clearly the machine was tossed around during shipment. Attempted to send it back before opening but was going to get charged around $450. Escalated issues to customer service but were unwilling to help and referred me to fedex china who was no help. Wasted more time to put in a claim that was denied by FedEx. They wanted me to set up the machine and send them a video of it running, even though the wooden shipping crate, with supports, was clearly damaged (not something you want to see on a piece of tech you spent good money for) I imagined it coming over on a cargo ship and falling off a crate…don’t waste you time, hindsight is 20/20, definitely some red flags from the start, I think the plunge pod is priced around the same now vs in 2024 when I ordered Arctic, and I’d have more confidence on customer support with them in future than what I’ve gotten from Arctic. Not a person to leave reviews, and I’ve had issues with products in the past, but this takes the cake. Also, I wasn’t able to leave reviews on places you think you’d be able to (Facebook, Google, for example) so hopefully this reaches people before they buy

Absolutely the worst customer service…

Absolutely the worst customer service experience we've ever had. Arctic Warrior completely dropped the ball—unresponsive, unhelpful, and downright rude. Trying to get any kind of assistance felt like pulling teeth. We reached out multiple times with no clear answers or accountability. It’s clear they don’t value their customers at all. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere.

Even the email response address is nonsense see below. No number you can call or speak to anyone. (I took the @ sign because you can't post with it in)

Do not buy an Arctic Warrior cold…

Do not buy an Arctic Warrior cold plunge. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. We have had the tub for 4 weeks and it has never worked. I called them repeatedly and al they said was to take a video of the unit and send to them, which we did 3 times! Not sure how a video can tell that the water doesnt get cold, but apparently their “engineer's” can. Called again today and they asked to send a 4th video! Will be sending back ASAP. Do not purchase!!!!

Terrible Customer Service

UPDATE 2/10/2025: My customer service issue did actually get resolved, although it took some time. The manager, George, reached out to me on 2/10/25 to discuss the issue the company was having. I ended up upgrading to the new 1 HP unit. It should arrive soon. Hopefully it lasts and does not break.
1/17/2025: I am having the worst experience with this company. Their customer service is beyond bad. My chiller unit is not working after several months of use. The unit came with barely any instructions (from China) and they would not help with the setup. Everything comes in separate packages and the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. My issue, that I brought up a week ago, is not resolved. They one customer service rep (I think they literally have one guy) keeps asking for photos and videos and is not honoring the replacement guarantee that they offered when I bought the unit. When I asked him for a user manual or a fix for my issue he offered nothing. Then I asked for the phone number of a manager or owner of the company so I could let them know about my experience and he just said to send him videos. I have not gotten the owner’s contact information nor is a solution forthcoming. I would not do business with this company again, or if I knew how disreputable they were. Don’t make the same mistake.

scam company

Do not buy from this company without reading the 1 star reviews. This company has a lot of good reviews I question if they are legit. They advertise heavily and always have a sale going on. I was excited to get this and try it out however, first off the item took awhile to arrive and came from China. They advertise 24/7 support and a 100 day risk free trial. This is all BS. They are happy to take your money, but good luck getting any support or anyone to respond to your in a timely fashion or even getting anyone to help you troubleshoot.
I purchased a bundle in October and it took Almost a month to arrive in 3 different deliveries. I set it up and it appeared to be of good quality, however it would never reach or maintain the set temperature. I have been in contact with them since November about troubleshooting to get this to work and have not received any useful feedback. They ask for videos of the problem and when I sent them nobody has returned my inquiry and several emails, chats and phone calls. Beware nothing gets accomplished. The person on the phone is useless and basically gives you the runaround saying send more info and they will direct it to their engineers and get back to you. It never happens. When I asked for a return they stated that I would be charged a percentage depending on payment method. Their website states this is only for cancelled orders prior to delivery, but they were trying to charge me for the risk free 100 day trial anyways. Additionally they were not going to take back the tub or the accessory which on the site is well over $1000 and is overpriced. Their website clearly states that if you buy a bundle then you should return the bundle and wipe out the tub. I told them this on the phone and as expected got nowhere. Their site does state that you are responsible for shipping and that it needs to be returned in the original packaging and with original tags, so do not throw them away if you are still wanting to gamble and purchase this item. I quit wasting my time with them and was afraid that if I got to the point of actually returning this item I would not get my money back and be out even more for shipping it back to them and without anything to show for it except a lighter bank account. I am filing complaints with BBB and whoever else will hear what I have to say.

UPDATE: 2/10/25

The response from Actic warriors about looking into the case is stupid because it is the same lip service I have been hearing from them and nothing comes of it. I have over 10 hours into trying to troubleshoot or return this item multiple times. They are just responding to seem legit. I have other concerns sent to them after writing this review that have remained unanswered, so this response from them is just another slap in the face. It reminds me of someone in their college dorm fielding calls/complaints without knowing what they are actually doing and there is no escalation for me to talk with anyone else.

Arctic Warrior 1 HP Chiller Failure

I ordered the 1 HP chiller to go with my Ice Barrel 500. It took over 2 weeks to arrive (and shipped straight from China) but that was not even the beginning of the problems. Once it arrived I got it set up and the On/Off button on the unit would not toggle the pump power but I was able to get it running by setting up the app on my phone. Once I got it running it went about 8 minutes before it shut off and gave me a P01 error. It then stopped the water flow. It never chilled the water, not even one degree. I called customer service and they answered the phone and told me to reset the machine, which I did but got the same result. It would run for a little bit and the give the P01 error (a flow sensor error). I have now called, emailed, and web chatted with them for a over week and they tell me they are “escalating” the issue to engineering, and now marketing but they have not agreed to an exchange or a refund and keep giving me half answers. I have reset and tried this machine over and over, I have sent them 4 different videos of exactly the problem and they have not been helpful to get me a solution with any timeliness. I also have yet to receive the replacement filters that were ordered a month ago when I ordered the chiller. I’m not sure what’s going on with this company but I would not order from them again.

I purchased the 1.5HP heater/chiller

I purchased the 1.5HP heater/chiller. After inquiring about the ETA after a couple of weeks I was told it was still undergoing QA in China. When I tried to pull up the website I noticed a new 2.0 version released but it was missing the heating element. When I asked what the difference was they said the 2.0 removed the heating element and I would be receiving the 2.0 version. When I purchased I let them know I only cared about the heating element and would not use the cold feature. I have an email chain reiterating all I care about is the heating element and was informed that I could cancel my order for a minimum of a 5% fee. Also their claim of 50,000+ 5-star reviews is unfounded as you can't leave a review. This is a scam and at best a dropship company that spent a lot of money in marketing and deceiving practices. Before they try to do damage control I have all the emails from them and their customer support messages.

I’d give negative stars if I could

I’d give negative stars if I could. The chiller took anywhere from 3-6 hours to chill in a 70° a/c garage, tub had to be pumped up everyday, I’ve tried for weeks now to get a refund under their “100 day policy”, paid for return shipping, no label sent, no refund, no call backs, no answers. Biggest scam company out there. Filing fraud on my credit card next week if I don’t have a solution from them because I have their acknowledgment of being in the window for return, will obtain a lawyer if necessary. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Update: to reply below from Artic Warriors- we’ve left several messages, I’ve paid extra to you for a shipping label to return the item weeks ago, we’ve called about the shipping label to which we’ve gotten no reply except a week and a half ago someone said “the owner is working on getting the correct shipping label.” I bought the bundle, supposedly 1hp chiller, it took 3-6 hours to chill, at one point over the last month in which I’ve tried to get this refund situated and the item returned, you did start playing games and said you’d send a new chiller, which I advised you of your 100 day policy for return and stated I was dissatisfied overall with the whole product and wanted to return and get a refund which you said, in email, that I was well within my right and time period to do so. I’ve called almost everyday last week, my husband has left messages and we haven’t had a reply or call back, so not only am I out for the whole bundle which is total crap, I’m also out $189 for the shipping label I paid for through your website for refunds.
To rectify, I’d suggest refunding me and then when you get it together on how to properly run a business and are able to get a correct shipping label sent, I’m more than happy to return this to you. Until then, I’ll be writing reviews about my experience.

Great tub/terrible chiller

Very happy with the tub, not happy with the chiller.

Purchased the 1.5HP chiller and having multiple issues with it: the fan is very loud, the pump is loud with a high pitched whine, the unit runs near constantly and over chills the water, and the timer function is not reliable.

The chiller has a design flaw where the temperature sensor is close to the internal hot components. This means that when the chiller turns off, the water around the sensor very quickly (about two minutes) heats up causing the pump to turn back on. The pump runs for about two minutes (fine except for the horrible sound it produces) but then the chiller itself (and loud fan) turn back on, even though the water temperature it senses is now below the set point. The fan runs for about two minutes, then two more minutes of noisy pump, then it finally turns off. In two minutes the cycle starts over again.

Why the poorly implemented firmware turns the chiller on even though the water temperature is below the set point is beyond me. I can understand the sensor heating up, but not the firmware behavior.

The net result is that the chiller cools the water down to about 5F below your set point. That in itself is ok - either set the temperature 5 degrees higher or (as their customer service recommended) change an internal parameter to offset the temperature reading. What I don’t like is the continual cycling on and off of the unit. As I mentioned it’s very loud - the neighbors and myself are all able to hear it inside their house with doors and windows closed.

I’ve been using the timer function to mitigate this some. But it turns out it’s not reliable - every 2 or 3 days the unit either fails to turn off, or fails to turn on. We have had no power issues and I’ve verified that the time is set correctly, as are the timer settings. Using the timer function in the wifi based app doesn’t work at all - as near as I can tell it’s ignored.

Contacting customer service has been marginal - they recommended the internal offset and that’s been about it. Multiple times I’ve asked for the unit to be exchanged and have had no response. Asking for it to be returned has also fallen on deaf ears.

I purchased a cold plunge and a .5 hp…nightmares insued

I purchased a cold plunge and a .5 hp chiller from Arctic Warrior back in April and it's been a nightmare since. It took about a month to even receive shipping information. I reached out about to their support but they didn't respond for over a week because they, "didn't want to respond until they had shipping information." I was hesitant to keep the plunge because of how poor their support team's help was and I didn't trust that they'd be able to give aid on their promised 1 year warranty so I began the return process. I submitted for a return a week after I received the plunge and have yet to get shipping information (it's now the end of August). At the time of my purchase their return policy was that any unopened products could be returned for a full refund and that (only if unopened) they would cover the return shipping. Their website policy has changed since I attempted to start this return. Thankfully they felt sketchy enough to make me grab a screen shot of their original return policy.

I can't say whether or their they provide good products as I have not opened the package but I will say I have never had a worse experience working with a company for any reason.

Apologies for the inconvenience that has happened but as we’ve stated multiple times over email, live chat and phone this is completely out of our hands.

As you initially started a dispute with your credit card company before even receiving the product we could not refund you even if we wanted to. We’ve been sharing screenshots of the current status of the funds with you every step of the way. Even-though you’re saying that you’ve spoken to them and they say it’s okay and they’ve cancelled the dispute - they keep asking us for more and more proof of the delivery as this goes on and they continue to keep the funds LOCKED.

While the decision for the dispute is going on these funds are not in our possession. We would have been more than happy to get our product back and refund you the moment you decided that it wasn’t for you because that’s what we do. We KEEP our word.

Yes you are right our policies have changed and reasonably so because we as a company made decisions to make changes but that does not affect you as a customer because the policies that were in place when you made the order still stand for you. As you know we have not mentioned any changes to policies to you personally and that’s because the changes do NOT affect you - they only affect future orders.

All of this could have easily been avoided if you had simply cancelled the dispute when we spoke which was two days after it was initiated. I personally spoke to you and warned you that this might happen and we must avoid it.

Currently it’s stated that the resolution is expected on November 4th. Here’s the latest update about the purchase from our payment processing dashboard (Screenshot link):

Once again I am very sorry that this happened but from day one this has been out of our control and is completely on your bank/credit card company. Whenever this is resolved by them, we will happily refund you without even requesting the product because of the trouble. We would do this simply because we are loyal to our customers and this is not how we do business. We would never risk our reputation for $2000…
